for those unfamiliar with Catholicism, I think that as a generality, it is important to differentiate their official breed of homophobic craziness from that of the Fundies. Their difficulty comes from intellectual origins in the natural law ideas of Aqinas and Aristotle. There is a pretense of thought. with Priests and people who study . The Fundies, in contrast , rely on the Bible.
Having been raised in an Irish Catholic Family they are just about as fanatical about sexual things as anyone could be; However, the
vast majority of people have a rough time living with the idea that having sex always means that you have to have babies. This eliminates birth control, abortion, even beating off. Most people don't abide by all of this and I think that most family's accept their gay youngsters here in America.
You do however get some wackos like Donohue who have obviopus sexual problems and need attention. I don't think , consequently that he poses the kind of danger that Fundies do. They aren't anti-sex so much as just anti gay which is easier to live with since it just separates one group.
This show sounds more like a circus side show
If Donahue weren't so outrageous, he wouldn't be such a desired guest on TV, radio, etc. He knows that.

photos/galleryid=122861.html) I wondered how he feels about NBC being allowed to cover the convention.
