Go on don't be shy....

Just got my tickets - I am taking a couple mates from work too.

The ticket office says that its sold around 500 tickets so far !

They also agreed for a Sky TV Monday game its a tad expensive.

Gravatar What... £25 for a premiership game?

Gravatar I'm three hours to the left of you chicago! I wish I could go. I totally agree, if we can take a couple of thousand there and get behind the lads this game could launch our season. Our team needs a big lift and the fans can do it. It used to be amazing travelling away to watch the addicks...who was at swindon in the rain? The hatrick of Sir Leaburn at Portman road? Our club has been stagnant for a few years now, curbs done what he could (worked a miracle) but enough was enough. We now have a manager who is full of enthusiasm and desperate to do well. He will respond along with the team with a big turn out. Come on you reds.

Gravatar Swindon sitting in the rain, Leaburn's hat-trick at Ipswich - I was at both games.

Then there was something special and indescribable that urged one to get off their backsides and to an away game because deep down you knew for whatever reason they needed our support - whether it be a relegation, promotion, local rivalry or a TV game.

When I lived at home I used to, if possible, try to get to every away game that was televised because i) I used to hate watching us on TV and ii) I felt they would need some backing.

We need to bring that undying support back somehow.

Gravatar maybe you and I need to move back to blighty! Will never forget swindon...we got totally drenched and were doing the conga down the aisles! Great fun...hope it gets as much fun again but in the prem...

Gravatar Remember the Leicester away game on Sky CA??

Gravatar When I heard about this campaign I went straight out and bought the ticket that maybe I should have bought earlier. It'll be a great night out with mates, even if the team doesn't come up with the goods.

But my feelings are that the crowd seldom motivates the team either way - it's almost as if the players are deaf. The ignition point for those spectacular results always seems to be that the team exceeds expectations by scoring first, and then the adrenaline seems to hit them and us at the same time.

It really will be a 'must win' game, and I hope that I'll be able to brag afterwards that 'I was there'. Mind you, I was telling everyone about going to The Riverside even though we were embarrassed on the night :o)

Gravatar Richard - I do believe there was a little bit of over-celebrating at Filbert St that day. What about the 4-3 at Birmingham?

David - Agree, the problem is there are no real characters in the current team that can spark the fans into life.

Gravatar Mmmm...

Remember Brum not being too friendly outside!
