As another charlton fan lucky exiled a little nearer to the valley in oxford. Im supporting Lewes as my best friend follows them. They currently have Anthony Barness having a storming season for them and Mark Kinsella recently turned out for the rooks as a favour in a recent game at thurrock.
Its a great battle going on for the title, particularly with the local rivalry. Love the blog btw
And Eastbourne is a smashing place too CA.
Went down there for the day in Feb, and were playing footie on the beach in t shirts, it was so nice. Bit different from today - but I suspect we didn't have quite as much snow as you..
Its good to see football thriving in the south east for a change. Saw the Darts notch up another win today to extend their lead at the top of the Rymans North, in front of 1500.
It was better too yesterday. I know we've all pretty much given up on it (the singing was there, but not the conviction). My hope just flickered in the embers yesterday..
It's a funny old game, isn't it? Based in Bristol for several years, even though a CAFC season ticketholder for a big chunk of that (me and my daughters), my second team has been Bristol City - comfortably two divisions apart!! Will have to resort to my original second team now, Dover Athletic, who have been through the pain barrier too, dropping from the conference to about 4 levels below, due to financial problems - but about to go up as champions (ie 13 points clear). Need some comfort from somewhere! Having said that, results went pretty well for us today, notably City, which makes it easier to go to the pub!
Funny isn't it. I used to have a soft spot for Fulham before old Mahomed stuck his oar in - now I can't stand them.
Well Eastbourne went and lost today at home to Bromley, ex-Addick Mark Debolla getting the winner and Lewes won. I didn't realise Barness was there Thommo. I knew a few years back John Robinson was down at The Dripping Pan arguing with referees
