What your analysis misses, though, is that Horry is known BOTH as Big Shot Bob AND Big Shot Rob. And both have been deemed perfectly acceptable, even interchangable. Simmons even refers to him as Big Shot Brob, which reduces me to giggles every time I hear it.
He's in the HOF on nickname status alone.
