Anne,
So nice of you to leave a comment for my site. Glad it contains some info of interest for you. I guess us Du'ers can only compete so close to the tri's for so long before we feel the need to take the plunge. Last year I would have said no way, no chance that I would be swimming. I am now three weeks into workouts at a local pool and things are coming along pretty well. I am racing the Lakeside Sprint this weekend so my first experience in the water with a wet suit and with a mass wave start. I hope that I can manage the swim in a controled manner and then let the du in me take the rest of the race for a respectable finish. Keep me posted on your progress and send any tips you may find that have helped you. BTW - I will have to read up more about Saugeen Tri Team as I am a former Durham resident and remember racing against the Saugeen Track Team in high school. Are they under the same orginational umbrella?
Thanks again,
Larry

Way to be Anne , I passed Horseshoe enroute to Haliburton Friday Night and again on Saturday on my way home! I was thinking of all you guys, glad you had a great race and 3 place AG rocks! Do I see more trails in the future? If you want to go longer I highly recommend the Vulture Bait 50K in London mid Oct.
