Funny, I see oil conservation not as a "global warming" imperative, but as a way of saving Marines. If we had just a modicum of common sense in this country we'd be independent enough of foriegn oil so that we wouldn't care what the hell happened in the Middle East-- and we'd treat it like we do the Sudan, instead of as the trigger point for military action.
