Nice commentary SkSan.
many newcomers are astonished to see family members, especially children. After all, word has it that Osan is an unaccompanied tour. Not so; the base has nearly 400 accompanied slots, primarily for mission-essential positions.
Who knew?

I did some time there and down at Tango. What I learned was that if one could slip a PowerPoint virus into our systems, we would not be able to fight, or rather, the upper echelons would be paralyzed. I am one that enjoyed Korea, but then again, I enjoy everywhere (overseas) that I've served. Don't get caught outside the gate after Cinderella shoots for her pumpkin Skippy.

Amen about both the power point and the pumpkin. It always amazes and depresses me when people spend more time talking about slide creation than how many sorties we flew........

I spent a 12 hour watch doing 45 minutes of work, then had to deal w/ an AF puke micromanaging line color and thickness for the 10 hours of the watch we were "working." Not to mention, liberty in Korea is so, curtailed by the staff there.

I hate March in Korea almost as much as I hate August.

Rats, my .ppt virus is already taken.
A large ginkgo tree that was in the village square of one of these villages still stands on a hill in the present golf course site.
Ever find the tree from the tee?

I saw it, but since I usually slice so bad I am on the opposite side of the fairway from it..............
