Women MORE vindictive? No doubt. The ONLY vindictive gender? Of course not. Men are vindictive in their own right. Yet, following a divorce based on the wife's infidelity, a man will be much, much more vengeful that a woman. Where a cheated wife may seek her vengence on the "other woman," and desire to hurt her husband with the taking of material items, a cheated a husband will seek vengence directly on his wife and often use children and material possessions. (Yes, some women do this too, but spending enough time working in a law office, I saw it this particular type of vegenence more so from men.)
I'd say what it boils down to is this: women are just much more vocal and exhibitive of their vindictiveness; which is exactly why we're labeled the way we are.
