Quick question....I have been engaged for less than a year and my fiancée and I have been disagreeing a lot about issues that cannot be resolved. We also live together. She has threatened me many times that it is over, as well as hitting me on occasion, and finally she ended it and gave me back the ring. I locked the ring up in a safe for the time being.

I came home one day to grab it and few other things to bring to the bank and the ring was gone. You can imagine I was angry. I immediate filed a police report and plan to press charges if the DA will move forward here. I confronted her, a few days later because she went out of town, about it and she admitted to taking the ring and she sent it to her father in Baton Rouge, LA. I asked why and she said she wanted protection from selling house. What she fails to understand is if I do her wrong on the sale of the house then it will also affect me. The ring is worth over $20K and I want it back.

Additionally she is threatening to not pay her half of the mortgage and utilities. She commented that she does not care if her credit goes bad.

Any suggestions here? I really need help.
