OMG Richmond. That's a horrible story. I share your completely irrational fear (a frequent topic in my own ramblings).

Hubby occasionally thinks it'd be funny to do crawly fingers along my arm or leg. Hubby gets hurt when that happens.

oh my goodness. i actually got ok with spiders when i lived in amarillo (because the wolfies and garden variety would crawl around on my walls all the time), but had that been a vial of cockroaches? i would have killed him. killed him hard. what a jerk. and my goodness, how many times does he have to ask you about a drink you don't like before he gets it? 8 dates? he wanted to control you and change you.

my mom's ex-boyfriend one time chased me through the house i grew up in with a "dead" cockroach that he picked up off the floor (thank goodness for cats, haven't seen a live one in years). i jumped onto my brother's bunk finally and was cornered. he tossed it on me just for fun, laughing. it was not dead. i slithered and ran and brushed myself off for an hour. if i'd been older and bigger and more armed, i'd have kilt him right then.

What a horrible person! WTG with the punch! I used to jump on top of a chair and scream if I saw a spider; my Dad would kill it for me and then chase me with it *shudder* but now I have 3 boys who are more than willing to kill any spider I see.
