And that folks is why Karen Porter is a half-assed lawyer and not a Judge.
While Porter endulged herself in senseless anger and a blind rage, he had enough sense to apologize.
What CCPM needs is elect adult leadership to run the organization.
This incident and the three recent attempts at occupation by CCPM members in violation of the peace agreement shows that Porter is violent. It's her policies and tone that the set the stage for these attrocities. She needs to be held responsible.
Let's hold hearings, we'll call them "Prison Momma" instead of Winter Soldier.
And like the Veterans For Peace chase the President and Vice president around with a Citizen's Arrest Warrant, well hey, WHY THE HELL NOT?

I told you last week you deserve and apology and now you are going to get it. The judge sounded very fair. Sorry all of this happened to you and I hope you feel justice was served.

I'd like to see you post that photo side by side with a photo of Matthis Chiroux at his big news conference and highlight the differences between the two sides. The IVAW member Matthis Chiroux is doing the opposite of what you have done, and of what Mark Twain said. Such contrasts we have between the two groups, during the same point in time.

I'm glad this episode had a satisfactory outcome. I'm afraid others will not. The 'peace' marchers have too often shown themselves to be lacking in restaint and good sense. Like the enemy we oppose, many 'peace' marchers will stop at nothing to get what they want.
You are nicer than I am....I would have saw it all the way through to send a message to these "peace" activists that their style of arguing is not tolerated in any degree
Here in Tucson, Arizona, one of our pro troop leaders was assaulted and had her video camera ripped from her and she suffered a broken ankle. The coward ran and was caught by a Marine and Army Sergeant who saw the whole thing and gave foot pursuit.
The suspect went to court and his attorney pleaded with the leader to agree to lower charges, but she held firm.
He went to jail for 3 years and has to pay for a new camera (he smashed it on the ground while running) and has been ordered to pay 10k in fines.
This is significant and sent a strong message to the left here, violence is not tolerated.
Since then the left stays far away from the pro-troop supporters.
Skye, - You handled this with a dignity and class not understood by the other side and I am so proud of you. You made a giant step here for protecting First Amendment rights here in WC! God bless you.

For someone like Porter, I think the best way to deal with her is to keep being "fair and gracious" and all the qualities of class, dignity, and respect which she apparently lacks. In this case, proving yourself far more peaceful and respectful in how you conduct yourself will contrast sharply to the displays of intolerance and petty childishness from her.
It says quite a bit about her that she, claiming to be for peace over violence, doesn't have the self-awareness to distinguish that John Meicht as a representative of her side, was violent- not peaceful, and in the wrong.
Keep traveling the high road, skye. Exchange their mudslings for level-headed disagreement, and that'll ultimately drive them nuts, that you're a better peace activist in practice than they claim to be.
Karen Porter behaves as if she were raised in a barn. What parents would ever claim her, anyway?
She wouldn't recognize manners, style, civility, compassion-if it hit her ugly face.
Skye, you are the epitome of what Karen despises-self-respect, manners, common sense, a sense of cleanliness, you project a woman that actually takes care of herself, and that makes you attractive. She is unable to achieve any of these qualities. So, the natural thing for her type is to hate you.
It's quite a compliment to you, actually. Don't change a thing.

However, it worked out for the best and a strong message of mercy and intolerance for violence was made with this court ruling.

Of course that's from a know liar so I laughed when I first saw those.

The video is live on YouTube where it has been since the week after the incident. And it clearly shows Meicht throwing the first strike. He hit my arm and camera so hard the camera was shut off.
Of course, what was not known and now I can speak freely, is there was a charge of aggravated assault in addition to the five other charges leveled against Meicht. If he does not comply with the terms of the summary agreement, he will be sent to trial with the added charge of agg. assault.
