Thanks for this report Skye - just another outstanding job!

This was one of my favorite rallies because of all the newcomers. There were 8 of them and they all felt right at home. Thanks to all the patriots who make our rallies such great experiences that people want to be a part of.

We had a large turnout and it was great to meet the new fellow patriots - Michael, Harrison, Maureen, Larry, Mary Ann, John, Linda, and Kristen.

When it was over we had a nice "huddle" - we said the "Pledge of Alligiance" and sang the "Star Spangled Banner" - it was a fitting way to celebrate "Armed Forces Day". And, as always, we ended with a prayer.

Also, a young man happened to be walking by and told me he was in the Marines (I could tell by his haircut) and that he was leaving for Afghanistan in 9 days and he wanted to say, "Thanks" for our support. His name is Rob and I asked him where he was from. He said he graduated from Henderson High School (which is the original high school here in West Chester) and that he graduated in 2006.

He spent a few minutes with us, shook a few hands (that's his picture - the one with Marine Jim, in the red USMC ballcap, shaking his hand).

Rob - we wish you all the best, you will be in our prayers. May God protect you and may you be successful in your mission. THANK YOU for fighting for us, for defending our country. It's because of great patriots like you that we can enjoy the freedoms we have. YOU are the very best of America.

Sean Carpenter's pictures are great and the site. That Marine really looks young. Guess it's been a long time since I was on active duty.
