Spirits were running high yesterday as it was Memorial Day Weekend. The peaceniks looked out of place, mixed up and confused. They were passing out some sort of flyer to passerby's but I am not sure what they were. I got lots of honks and thumbs up with my Happy Memorial Day Thank a Soldier sign. No confrontations that I am aware of. Skye - the photos are fantastic as usual. We all were excited to learn about the WSJ article. It was awesome. Thanks for posting it. Great time of patriotic fellowship amongst our ranks! Can't wait till Flag Day!

Great job and obviously a great rally. I'm definitely putting this blog on the bloglinks column of my blog. The folks on BlackFive alerted me of your presence.

I, for one, am thankful for all American troops, both past and present who have served this country. On March 31st, my father-in-law passed away. He was a Marine in the Pacific Theater during World War II and stationed in Guam. He didn't like to talk about the experiences he had there. At his funeral a Marine honor guard presented my Mother-in-law with the flag that draped his coffin. It was an extremely moving ceremony. So this Memorial Day is a little more poignant for my wife and myself.
