ha this totally cracked me up. we really are quite similar. except the crying thing. But our mutual ROY G. BIV love trumps that, I think.

I actually can't take credit for the ROY G. BIV closet. One of my roomates was slightly OCD and went into my closet arranged my clothes that way. I thought it looked pretty so I kept it up...it also makes things much easier to find.

Lindsey: I will amend my list to say that while I don't like trends--especially those two current trends--some of those items look cute on certain people (you) but other people look like extras from a Fiddler on the Room musical. For you I do not have hate. Only love! You know i heart you!

I so want to move to Richmond and hang out with you. You and I are the same on 1, 2, 19, 20, 21 (except not b/c of Lauren, b/c I am ANAL), 36, 38 (seriously, her name is Sophie), 41-46, 62-68, and 89-90.

Here's what we have in common ( I tell you because I dont have a blog and feel compelled to share):
-I am a cryer
-I have a color coded closet (inspired by an OCD roommate)
-I want to a school psychologist, but am still considering counseling...so you are going to your Education Masters and then counseling?
-I went to all girls school (for HS). I totally miss it all the time and loved every second of it.
Dont knock gauchos until you try them. They are an experience worth trying.

Boozie--I can't believe you have a small black monster named Sophie. Does everyone think you named her after Oprah's dog? We get that from people, but we DID NOT name her after Oprah's dog. I didn't even know Oprah had cocker spaniels much less their names. So you need to move to Richmond so we can hang out! I'm starting a movement!
Alexa--I'm so happy to talk to another crier. If you need to cry sometime, just because, come to me and I will join in! Also, I am so happy you are an all girls school lover too. If you haven't done it, you just don't get it. Finally, I've seen your pictures on Janet's blog and you are the kind of person who probably looks so cute in gauchos. I am not convinced yet...

gauchos + 9 months pregnant = most comfortable things in the world.
And why do I love these lists? I don't know. But I do.
Thanks for sharing!

I came across your website looking for the ingredients to a particular mayo. Sweet. I heart this page and I think I may bookmark it and share it with Tim (we've been married 10 and 1/2 years. 1/2 years are important.) I have two boys, 11 and 15, a shepherd / hound mix named Abby, a fat lard cat named Tina (after the llama on Napolean Dynamite which is about the best movie ever), and though I had no choice on the first go around of gauchos and shawls / ponchos, I am feelin ya on that not following trends. These people are going to have to look at pictures in a few years (as we did after the 70's) and say, "What in the world was I thinking, and why didn't somebody stop me?!" Not me. Props to the pregnant woman; you gotta do what you gotta do.

Hey, Sarah- I heart your blog! You are quite funny. When not being snarky, I am a crier, too. And the gauchos- I love my gauchos. I think it's because I was a little kid when they came out in the 70s and didn't get to partake. The ponchos really only look cute on 5 year olds.

I have seen Cowboy Mouth in concert. That seems random to me.
I like your list! If I lived in Richmond, we could be friends. Alas, I don't.

Hey, I just found your blog and it's super! You and I share the exact same birthday. I for one don't like the Thanksgiving birthday because everyone is home with their families instead of getting me drunk and celebrating!

Hi Sarah! Your blog is lovely and much funnier than 'quite'. I love peonies and at last I have found someone who uses Roy G Biv to remember the rainbow! My weakness is purple as opposed to pink, but I do rather like a dusty rose occasionally. Do you mind if I put you on my list of links? English Sarah x

Great blog and love the list!
Confession--lifelong Richmonder...
I've never been to Stony Park Fashion Park or Short Pump Town Center.
Have only been to Virginia Center Commons once in the past year, to see my daughter's art work on display.
Have actually visited Willow Lawn more in the past year than any other mall.
Definitely cannot remember the last time I was in Regency.
But, most of all....
I WANT MY AZALEA MALL BACK!

I love reading the old comments from a few years ago! They crack me up. I am glad you are being a little more open about the gauchos.
You are awesome and everyone loves you, and no, you aren't shy anymore! I never thought you were particularly shy though, but you are even less so now. You rock!

When I ever get around to doing one of these lists, it's going to be 1-100 EDWARD EDWARD EDWARD. Maybe Avada Kedavra will make one spot on the list, if Potter is lucky.

Interesting updates! Time flies and so much stays close-to-the-same-but-not-quite. Wonder what this will be like in 10 or 15 years. Deep thoughts by Laur.
