You are allowed to be pissed off. I like the "it could be worse" argument when it's helping me to feel better about something, but I HATE it when people use it to trivialize a situation. Your feelings are completely valid and you have a right to be pissed off and sad, even if, yes, things COULD be worse.
I don't think anyone will understand how you feel so you're right about that. People who complain about their job to you are really...braindead. I think of you all the time. What are your classmates from grad school doing?
I think your mixed emotions are TOTALLY NORMAL. I mean...if you didn't struggle with the pendulum of feelings, you just wouldn't be human.
Also, I'm sorry about the whole crappy job thing. It just sucks. But I hope it opens up some cool and possibly unexpected doors for you too!
