Would you like to leave something for me to find in my post-office in the hedge?

Gravatar Wow...hard to remember the days we arose at 6:00a.m.!!

As time flows on and on, I feel ever more grateful and blessed to be sharing our circle of days.

love,

douglas

Gravatar I admire you Lesley, I am to rebellious to write down my goals. It seems the minute I do I rebel and do not want to do them. I am odd. I Always say we have a rhythm to our days, because I so hate the word schedule. I love the term a circle of days. You book turned out beautiful !!!! So far our life is not that busty and I can keep it all in my head. But I think that may change any day. I will have to look at your circle of days book then. Clarice

Gravatar Your circle of days is a beautiful idea, and I love the way it will adapt to the changes in routine that, I agree families experience as they grow. I always find that just as I have a rhythm that works something comes along to throw us off -- even the change in seasons, more outdoor time and more daylight or less, for example, changes our day enough that it takes me several weeks to regroup!

Also, there is something about the circle that makes it a good thing, rather than an insane one, that there is so much repetition in home and family life. I would love to learn to cherish the circles of our days rather than wishing that things were more progressive and linear.

Gravatar It was a sweet surprise to find your blog as I was bloghopping.. Finally, someone else who loves Ms. Read!!! I have read all of her books, over and over. She is always the one I turn to in times of crises or sadness, because I am always transported and comforted. I am also and Elizabeth Goudge fan, with The Dean's Watch one of my favorites.

I had to laugh at your schedules... I have done the same thing over the years with my three sons... and will do the same again this fall.. always eager to be organized and rhythmic.. always finding the system falling apart about Thanksgiving time.

Gravatar Ok, now I'll take a look at your shop. Can't wait!

Gravatar I love this circle of days idea so very much, and have been bringing it into my own life. I appreciate so much that you shared it with us. It is also similar to how a hen circles (living "at the pace of a hen"). It is a very healing image : )

Gravatar i think this post is my favorite of all your posts. says a lot about a lot. i even did a search on your blog to find it. i'm always searching for order and rhythm in our home and feel i'm lacking it...also that i'm the cause of it. however, sometimes it's just life that constantly evolves, helping us learn. take care...and many blessings.
