Wow, your pictures are gorgeous. I especially love the first one. You should enter that into some nature photo competition or something! Makes me miss Canada...

Awesome photos, but there is one missing, the motif of the adventure: where are the mosquitoes? Without any pics showing the bites we'll never suspect these tiny, gentle creatures of the atrocities you're accusing them.

It looks fantastic! You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, where you can escape from 'electricity'. Thanks for sharing.

Great pics. Bowron has been on my list for a while now. A friend of mine went there over Canada Day long weekend and did the circuit in 5 days. I'm sure one day I'll get my butt in gear and book it 4-5 months prior
The mosquitoes were really bad at Cathedral Park over the Canada Day long weekend. I'm still recovering from it.

I tried taking pictures of the mosquitoes but none of them really turned out. They kept moving around. One of my friends on the trip is a professional photographer so I can't wait to see his pictures. Maybe I'll post a few. I'm sure they'll make my photos look pretty average.
I highly recommend doing the Bowron circuit but I would wait until the end of August or early September when the bugs are dead. It was way too buggy in June.

I like the line, "we saw more moose than people."
Good for you for swimming "no matter how cold."
Beautiful photos.
Looks like a great trip.

p.s. I tried taking pictures of mosquitos on my last trip, and they didn't work out (early June, next to a lake in Utah, clouds of mosquitos, but, fortunately, very slow moving...).
I'd be curious how your friend does it.

I think the trick to taking pictures of mosquitoes is to have a really expensive camera...
