Gravatar I'd say that you showed more courage moving to Japan than Tomoko moving to Vancouver because Canada is more of a multicultural society. Seven of my colleagues are Japanese, among a large number of Europeans, Americans and Asian non-native Canadians.

Welcome to Tomoko and... what keeps you from making a career switch?

Gravatar Hey Sarah, is that you guys on the Aquabus?? I miss Vancouver!

Gravatar That's very cool. Welcome to Vancouver Tomoko.

Gravatar I think she likes it here. Although, she did say that adjusting to Vancouver has been very easy because there are lots of Japanese people, Japanese stores, Japanese maps, Japanese staff...she said she doesn't really feel like she's in a foreign country. I don't think she was prepared for how multicultural it would be. I think she's a little disappointed!

What keeps me from making a career switch? Fear! I'm terrified of being unemployed and living in my parents basement.

Gravatar And in response to Mike's comment...good eyes! We are indeed on the aquabus.

Gravatar There's nothing wrong with being unemployed and living in your parent's basement. I currently live in a basement! :) But hey, things will change...

Let me know if you want to talk about career changes sometime after the 15th.

Gravatar What a great story. I hope she's happy there.

Just got to know about you & your blog through Miss 604.com. I find you sunny & warm & funny. Loved reading your last few blog posts and I'm gonna keep coming back for more. :)

And on a side note, I think you have a great butt ;)

Gravatar Thanks!
