Gravatar Wow, that pool is gorgeous. I am *extremely* jealous that you live right across the street!!! I've never even heard of a salt-water pool. How cool is that. I may just have to print this post out, for reading and discussion, in my adult classes once rainy season is over (if I have your permission to do so, of course!)

Gravatar J'adore la piscine de Kits.
The water is always cold during the first week so I use that as an opportunity to get some early season wetsuit sessions in. Only in Vancouver can you get away with showing up at a public pool in rubber (and no one notices).

Gravatar I don't have the body shape to get semi-naked yet. So no Kits pool for me.

Gravatar I will miss the pool this summer...think of me at least once when you're there!

Thank you for the card, Sarah...your words of support and friendship have meant a great deal to me!

More on e-mail.

Tam

Gravatar Tamara, glad to hear you got the card. I've been reading your updates on your blog but let's talk again soon.

Kathleen, of course you can use this in your adult class. Let me know how the Japanese translation of "eye candy" and "pool urine" goes ;)

Raul, all body shapes and sizes are welcome at Kits Pool so there's no excuse not to swim. Besides, you look pretty slim to me so I don't know what you're talking about.

And, Don, I like to make fun of the people swimming in their wetsuits in the pool. They look ridiculous!

Gravatar The first few times I went for a swim at Kits my body just screamed for a wall....it takes a bit of adjusting from a 25m pool - but it is worth it!

Wished I lived closer - I miss Kits.

Gravatar Sarah I too am very excited for Kits to open. I'll be away for part of this weekend but I hope to make it there on Monday. I may end up being one of those silly wetsuit wearing people since I bought a new wetsuit in Oct and I'm racing in two weeks. I've heard Sasamat lake is practically frozen solid still so... Don't worry I'll do it on a yucky day when only real swimmers are in the pool.

Looking foward to seeing you there. Maybe I'll have to invite myself over for a post swim bevvie. I won't even have to move my bike.

K

P.S. Don, I'll keep you company with my NEW wetsuit.

Gravatar I'm in!! can you help me find parking?

Gravatar Sarah, I could read your blog all day... just got caught up with the Clare Ward saga and it left me grinning like a fool.

In other news, I actually posted to my blog (finally...) in anticipation of my trip to Spain. Check it out!

Gravatar Look at your new layout all fancy shmancy!! Looks good...it's 35 degrees or hotter here today - I'd loooooove a swim at Kits. Today I'd even get my white, lumpy body into a bathing suit in public just to cool down.

Gravatar Yeah, although last time I visited your blog the comments were closed so I couldn't say "wow, you're looking all sleek and such".

Going to Green Drinks on Wednesday? I'll send you my cell via normal e-mail so that you can text me if you go.

Gravatar I am not sure about Green Drinks this week. I think I might ride my bike if the weather is nice. Went to the pool yesterday and it was awesome. Ahh...perfect way to kick off summer.

Gravatar my fear of swallowing gross floaty things has always been higher in a pool than in an ocean. but maybe vancouverites dont produce the same sort of gross floaties as calgarians. lucky you.
