[Preface: This has nothing to do with Gilby]

Question for the audience: Is quitting blogging the "new black"? Sure seems like it.

Once, it was cool to start a blog. Now, it seems like its cool to quit a blog. Wth?

Gravatar I'm not quitting because I have a legion of office workers, SAHM's, soccer moms, convicts and family members who need something...anything to amuse themselves. Thank God for blogging especially SmithersMPLs.com

Gravatar the real question is: once this fad ends and the blogging community reaches homeostasis, what am I going to do to waste time at work? Really what am I going to do!!!

Gravatar I should've added an addendum to my post:

I think about pulling the plug on mine everyday. Most days I lack any idea of what decent content I may post. So, I go back and forth about just deleting the whole thing a lot.

As Donny Quixote posted the other day, most of what you see is verbal diarrhea anyway...

Gravatar I think about pulling the plug on mine everyday.

You have a blog?

Gravatar I think of pulling the plug, too, and I don't even have a blog.

Gravatar I think about pulling the plug on mine everyday.

Me too. So why don't we? I can't answer that question, can you?

Gravatar If you guys stop your own blog you will immediately become eligible for guest blogging on my site.

Maybe that is enough motivation to keep blogging yourselves…

Gravatar No one cares about mine ... I have a bad video of SR coming out of the closet swing and no one cares...

Gravatar So why can't you pull the plug? After my short foray into guest blogging, I'm convinced it's an addiction.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addiction

"Psychological addiction, as opposed to physiological addiction, is a person's need to use a drug or engage in a behavior despite the harm caused out of desire for the effects it produces, rather than to relieve withdrawal symptoms. Instead of an actual physiological dependence on a drug, such as heroin, psychological addiction usually develops out of habits that relieve symptoms of loneliness or anxiety. As the drug is indulged, it becomes associated with the release of pleasure-inducing endorphins, and a cycle is started that is similar to physiological addiction. This cycle is often very difficult to break.

Psychological addiction does not have to be limited only to substances; even various activities and behavioral patterns may be considered addictions if they are harmful, e.g. gambling, Internet use, usage of computers (BLOGS), sex / pornography, eating, self-harm or work."

Congrats to Gilby for breaking the cycle!

Gravatar I didn't realize I was so lonely and anxious. Mrs. Smithers has shown me that I have a disease. Yet I'm not sure I'm ready to pull the plug...shit, I really am addicted.

Gravatar I can quit any time I want...

Gravatar So when is my guest blogging shift, Smithers?

Gravatar I was not aware that you were interested in getting back into the game!

Gravatar Well, you did say:

If you guys stop your own blog you will immediately become eligible for guest blogging on my site.

Gravatar I can quit any time I want...

Just give Baby Smithers and I some notice so we can avoid the withdrawal phase.

Gravatar Just give Baby Smithers and I some notice so we can avoid the withdrawal phase.

You'll know it when you hear the screaming from the basement.

Gravatar All I know is that my mouse hand has been aching more since I started blogging...but quit? Never. Quitting is bad for you. I'll just take more Ibuprophen.

Gravatar shit.

lalla you have a blog??

and i missed the superrookie video??

wheres the link?

anytime i can see sr on the net instead of in person is ideal, cuz i can turn the sound off.

Gravatar I think you might be on there too... If you can fine my blog I'll give you a lead out in a few weeks...
