I can see the velonews results, but what of the attacks?
i sent nbc an email to say thanks for the coverage... no something i normally do, but i sure would like to see some other domestic races on tv.

Did the promoters/sponsors pay NBC to get this aired, like the Tour of California paid ESPN for airspace at at 1 in the morning? I'm pretty sure MLS pays for airtime, too.
I figure that would have something to do with why the announcers were putting in plugs for Virginia tourism every other minute. Then again, it's a bicycle race. What else are you going to talk about? Explain the draft for the 100th time?

I just loved this race and the coverage was far better than oln's tour coverage.
Despite Al Troutpig, I was pleasantly surprised by the coverage. They actually showed the race! No human interest bullcrap, no Phil and Paul bs. I did think Eustice was a little over excitable but hey, who cares? It was cool that the virginia governor's kid races, I suspect that helped. Awesome race, that Canadian guy just rode away from Mcartney, like Timmer would ride away from me! So we get 3 hours of good race coverage, then on the Tour of Flanders we get 1 freakin hour??? The good and the bad...
