I totally understand how those great plans get derailed but I can assure you this post with these grilled greens will be cooking on my grills for many years to come and be plenty famous from now on.
Love your deck and chair! The flowers are called "flames" here but obviously that's not a scientific name.

The garden looks lovely - LB would have a blast at my house, with all the squirrels running around out here, climbing to get to our bird seed, basically all over the place. The electrical lines are called the "squirrel highway" around here.
A lot of us with the baking bug also have the gardening bug - I do the same thing!
