Bad idea- Newt Neutrality is simply a buzz word for government control of privately operated networks. Allowing the market to create tier services will benefit all consumers and will allow internet technology to advance at a faster rate.

It is true that adding government regulation to the internet can only make the internet worse, but one point people seem to forget is that this is essentially a private property issue. The internet is primarily a system of private computer networks, and the only people that should have any say on what goes on with those networks are those that *own* the networks. If you don't like the service your ISP provides, your only choice is to accept what they offer or walk away. The last thing you should do is ask the government to give you control of their property.

I do some work with the Hands Off the Internet coalition and would recommend checking out this video for a better understanding of why net neutrality is simply bad policy.

Someday cable and the internet will probably merge into one and perhaps then we'll have to sign up for blogs, network tv, shopping, but it's too early for that. It's probably only a matter of time but that time is not now which is why I think laisses-faire when it comes to the govn't messing with it.
Maybe we could put the servers into a lockbox.....just a thought.
