This is good news however what we have is the status quo. Last week this same Senate voted down an Amendment that would have outlawed sanctuar cities, like mine Chicago. It is unacceptable to merely maintain the status quo with regards to illegal immigration. This amendment, had it passed, would have moved us much closer to resolving the illegal immigration crisis. I call on the blogosphere to mobilize and get a hold of your Senators and urge them to re introduce the Amendment to outlaw sanctuary cities. Only one democrat, Mary Landrieu, voted to outlaw sanctuary cities. That tells you where that party stands vis a vis illegal immigration. Here is how I saw the sanctuary city amendment...
