Well, Snoopy, I expected “yids” to surface, sooner or later, in relation to the murder of AP. Today, on my way to university, I darted a passing glance in the direction of an age-old man who has been selling “marginal” newspapers (of Christian Orthodox, patriotic or pagan nationalistic nature – all united in their hatred to Jews) since the day I was born. I wasn’t disappointed by the headlines: “The Jewish mafia strikes back”, “Let’s finally conquer our country from Jews!” and so forth. It would be funny, if it weren’t so painful.
You should have heard charwomen at my university chit-chat. Russia hasn't changed.
At least two individuals came to my blog via google (“Anna Politkovskaia jew”).
Only two? I had a dozen at least already...
But yeah - nothing changes in good ole Russia. Or elsewhere, as a matter of fact.
I think the main problem is that I used a non-traditional spelling (Anna Politkovskaia as opposed to Anna Politkovskaya).

Russians are the people who conclusively prove that everyone gets the government they deserve. The reason that 98% of people who succeeded after the break-up of the Soviet Union were Jewish is not because Jews are somehow more sneaky or more clever. It’s that the Russians did what they have been doing for 500 years before — waiting for a lord and master to tell them what to do, drinking themselves to death, and blaming the Jews.
This stupidity is not communicable — it’s genetic.
