Gravatar Rading the news about Litvinenko and I was transported back to the late 70s when the Bulgarians murdered Georgi Markov. Okay they used Ricin rather than Thallium but it feels as if the Cold War is alive and well

Gravatar Thallium is cheap, I understand, if it used as a component of rat poison.

And yes, nothing changed dramatically, the Cold War seems to be getting back on track.

Gravatar I've only heard on one murderer to use it (at least here in the UK) and that was the serial killer graham Young. He killed his stepmother in the early 60s, got sent to Broadmoor (a secure psychatric hospital). He was released and promptly mudered some of his work colleages.

Gravatar I read an article on this former spy, it was a story that seems like it could have been written into a novel.

An aside from that, I don't trust Putin as far as I could throw him.

Gravatar Novel - right, this is why my first thought was about John Le Carre.

Re Putin - ditto.
