Gravatar hahahah priceless. for a second I was afraid ziggy would divulge some nuclear secrets upon arrival.

Gravatar Nuclear secrets? What nuclear secrets? We ain't got no nuclear secrets...

Gravatar I thought you got Caroline Glick's thought (???) process, if not her prose style, down pat. I'm constantly amazed that someone who constantly thinks we're in such horrible trouble can also think that Kid Brother is our savior.

Gravatar Style takes a lot of study and better English. But yeah, she is a one trick pony, albeit an endearing one. I have chosen three such ponies, so...

Gravatar Chortle! Snort! "Virgin flight from Damascus!" Giggle! "APCs disguised as London cabs!" Giggle! "Football hooligans!" Oh my! Loved it! Want more!

Gravatar Great post with wonderful satires. Particularly the first & third pieces.

You really have Caroline Glick's doom & destruction is at hand style down pat. Agree with Don that The Runt is improbable as Israel's Savior. To paraphrase an old joke about Calif.'s Gov. Jerry Brown Jr., If Bibi is the Answer, it must be a Mighty Strange Question!

Am not familar with Amira Hass' writing but he or she sounds like Glick's direct opposite idealogically speaking; though also a ranter & raver. The part about Ziggy becoming a Zionist settler attack cat was great.

Third piece was the best. "Operation Soft Paw" was a great parody of all the books about the Entebbe Rescue & other tales of Israeli derring-do. Agree with VSW about how funny "APCs disguised as London cabs" & Israeli Commandoes as British football hooligans
are. The line "Virgin flight from Damascus" gives me giggles everytime!

Finally have to say that Ziggy is a real Israeli cat, a true Sabra. What other type cat could survive 17 days in a container without any food and then still be able to elud capture for five hours?! He must be returned to Israel whatever the means!
(Apologize for being so late with this comment).

Gravatar PS: "The general stood up heavily and, with the help of two of his staff officers, walked towards the plane ... " The line about the two staff officers helping the general; was that a reference to the battle where Moses' two assistants help Moses hold his arms upright so the Israelities won?

Gravatar Thanks, David - re the two helpers - it was, most probably, unconscious. Now I can see that you are right
