I am not sure that at the time there were any suitcases of merit in both places.
Unless he bought them in transit!

Very nice post Snoopy. I checked also lots of the bullets.
What a question! you will never know. Once you become an emigrant, you leave part of your heart in every land forever. I think that watching the kids growing up will give you the answer. If you like them speaking in Hebrew you will stay. If you find that annoying, you will leave.
And no, I don't have children yet, but I guess that will certainly be one of the major tests.
Best!

Thanks, Fabian. Of course, each one and his own experience, and there are no standard tracks.
And children tend to come rather unexpectedly...
Best.

Snoopy: the idiot actually posted a so-called "article" on your post condemning him. He's a typical Arab apologist with a tendency to a special kind of racism. You see, Seth thinks that we, rightwingers are a brute, emotionless lot; racist to say the least. Yet he hates Russian Jews.
Smell rotten to you around Seth's blog?
....me too!!!
I'm gonna go and post about lil' boy Seth now...

Greg - please cool down, I am not sure what is it you are talking about.
First of all - what article you mean? Alex S. reposted my post or, rather, part of it.
And with no negative response that I have seen.
Second - Seth is not an Arab apoligist as far as I can see, and you are quite OTT with that conclusion.

Believe it is part of cab driver training to be rude & obnoxious!
Seriously a couple of questions:
Given that about half of Israelis come from Arab or Persian countries, how do you tell an Arab from a Jew? Clothing, mannerisms, appearances, mustache, other things, all of the above?
Also, is Israel worth all the sacrifices, Israelis make for their country? If every Israeli could immigrate to the USA, would most do so?
(I am not trying to be a wiseass or anything, just curious to know how Israelis feel about these subjects.)

OK, David, I shall try:
The dressing, mannerism, some facial differences, etc. - it is difficult to explain but it adds up and you just know. Mind you, if a Jew would take care to play and Arab (and vice versa) - only an expert could tell the difference, if at all.
Re the second question - for those who stay here, the answer is "don't know and don't care" to the first part (is it worth it?) and "definitely no" to the second (immigration). Again with a stipulation: most of the people who want to emigrate have done so and are doing so, but there always will be a percentage of those who would like to and just cannot.
