That is a pretty sad headline in that picture.
Why is it the Nobel Peace prize always goes to someone the social democrats in Europe are trying to back (it should come as no surprise Carter got it in 02 when the War on terror began…)

I would say, Roland, that it is also sad when perfectly normal people look for a savior like this one...

Forget Al "Big Electric Bill" Gore. He has no chance of even being nominated let alone elected. All the Dems I know had to hold their noses to vote for him in 2000. But they were used to bad choices by then.

But this Oscar and this Nobel gave him one heck of a big boost, Dick.

Only with people who care about either one, and I do not believe they are the majority of Americans. Hollywood is nobody's idea of a role model and Carter and Arafat devalued the peace prize a long time ago. But if the Dems want to nominate him (doubtful) I'm all for it. He won't lose any worse than Hillary will. Or Kerry did.

The Nobel Peace Prize Committee chose Al Gore in order to lower the
dependence of Sweden on imported oil. They have hooked a generator to
the body of Alfred Nobel and are powering the city of Stockholm as he spins
in his grave. After all, in 1994 they chose "Yessir Imarat" , in 2001
they chose the United Nations and Kofi Anan (Aramaic for I am a
monkey), and in 2002 they chose "Dhimmi" Carter. The whirling should
be enough to at least provide sufficient power for the entire city of
Stockholm if not the entire country.
Of course, Al Gore is consistent with the others in his "honesty" and
"devotion" to peace.

Do I detect just a little ... um ... ambivalence here?!

Ambivalence? Hardly, Liz, I am consistently against humans blindly following anyone.
It is less against Gore, although I have my strong doubts about him too, more about our gullibility.

Guys, how 'bout nominating me for the Peace prize next time round. I have a great track record that beats anythingl my predecessors ever done. I have never
- Lied to millions of schoolkids
- Organized terror campaigns
- Brought a great country to her knees
- ...
