Gravatar I agree with you that the Arab parties should not be banned.
However, I also think that there was no grounds to ban the Kach party a number of years ago (in the late 80s I believe) - that party was less racist than the Arab parties, so in light of the Kach Ban, it would be difficult to overturn the Arab ban.

In an ideal democracy, both extremes would be allowed (not that I support either of them), however to ban one and not the other is problematic.


Gravatar I tend to agree with you on this, although for me personally having a racist brother is more painful than having a racist cousin.

Even better than not banning them would have been to give them (Kach and Balad) a common room in the Knesset


Gravatar Kach should have been banned for sure. Ditto for the party whose founder was a Hezbollah spy.


Gravatar I personally think that no party should be banned. Having all kinds of people saying what they have to say in the open is better than to wait passively for all kinds of things brewing underground.
