The problem here, shlemazl, that the professor, like all of his ilk, being the worst enemies of democracy, will cry "freedom of speech" the moment police tries to investigate them.
In fact, he already cries it.
But don't worry - there is another professor in the works - for tomorrow. Or for Sunday, whatever comes first

Snoopy, I usually believe in letting whatever foaming at the mouth extremist, right or left, have their right to rant about whatever they want to. As long as the non-extremists remember to reply to them, the ranters generally do not go anywhere.
But currently in Israel, there is, in the words of Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, "a Clear and Present Danger" of extremist speech inciting violent acts including assainiation & mass murder.
Rabin's murder and other terrorist acts supposedly by lone individuals, but often with the blessings of extremist teachers like Professor Weiss, shows that this type of violent speech will lead to violent, even deadly acts if it is not suppressed. Mr. Weiss and his fellow extremists have to learn that wrapping themsevles in their own form of extreme Judaism does not make them above the law in a democarcy.
For sake of Israel and her People these extremists of whatever type cannot be allowed to bully, intimidate and murder their way to power. As you note Snoopy, their hateful rhetoric is lot like that of the Islamic extremists in both Iran & Saudi Arabia. The triumph of the Jewish Extremists would mean the end of Israel just as surely as the triumph of the Zealots led to the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE.

There was a first rate special on Daniel Pearl and his murder done last year on HBO entittled "the Journalist and the Jihadist" that is now available on DVD.

Prof. Weiss made the statements while watching his daughter, son-in-law and their six kids be forcibly evicted from their home in Hevron’s old marketplace.While also pointing out (and these had no such excuse)
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s daughter Dana was seen on national television last year calling IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz a “murderer,” taking part in a protest with signs reading ‘the Intifada shall prevail’ and engaging in chants about “how many children Halutz has murdered today” outside the army chief’s Tel Aviv home.
Another Olmert child, Shaul, now living abroad, signed a public petition calling on IDF soldiers to refuse orders to serve in Judea or Samaria.
No legal action was taken against either of the young Olmerts, nor did the leading papers or top political brass call for either of their prosecution. Dana Olmert continues to teach Hebrew Literature at Hebrew University, where she received no disciplinary hearing.
Actual Incitement to Kill
The Land of Israel Legal Forum and Tadmit, a group whose name is an acronym for “Strengthen Democracy in Israeli Media,” have filed a complaint against Channel Two’s Yaron London for statements he made in an interview earlier in the week. In an interview with MK Aryeh Eldad (NU/NRP) and retired IDF Major-General Yaakov Amidror, London denounced “every settler who allows himself to live on stolen hills of stolen Arab land, and you need 3,000 men to clear out two families.” “What do you think of giving one company permission to open fire?” London asked.

I would say that the point about who of these two wing is worse could be debated forever, and it is not really interesting at the end of the day.
The clear and present danger to our nation these two wings represent should be the priority - this is the gist of my (admittedly longish) post.
Oh, and re Weiss making the statements in the heat of watching the eviction: he repeated the whole "statement" several times for radio and TV since then, quite willingly.
One chilling detail: in the original version he was heard clearly saying before the cursing: "I curse you". I should not have to explain to you the meaning of this, I guess.
