Gravatar Where is the velvet sea?

Gravatar There's a little velvet sea in all of us. Time leaks out my life leaks in.

Gravatar Never been to the Continental club but have been in american airlines and delta crown room. I would love to travel with that luxury every time i hopped on an airplane. The continental one sounds just as luxurious. I think i would be snacking on lays potato chips during my entire layover though so maybe its best i have yet to visit a continental presidents club!

Gravatar yeah i think i gained about 3lbs in cheese weight while waiting.

Gravatar no, no, no...thanks to MY free passes!

Gravatar yeah yeah technically thanks to my lovely wife's free passes.. love ya cnote!

Gravatar I just left the Newark President's club (Terminal A) earlier this evening while waiting for a flight to Chicago. Because of bad weather, all flights into chicago were delayed by several hours.

The front desk assists travelers with all ticketing questions, flight info, upgrades, and gives frequent flight status updates over the PA system.

While waiting for my flight (which was finally cancelled) I had access to free WiFi, snacks, water, and a comfortable environment to hang out while waiting for a flight. It sure beats the chaotic, noisy, uncomfortable waiting areas provided for the masses. Once the flight was cancelled, the attendants assisted those who needed help with a smile and efficiency.

Membership has its priviliges and it's well worth the price (free to me as an Amex Platinum card holder, about 600 a year paid membership).

I have never run into any of the people you smugly described in your post. My experiences with the President's Club have only been positive.

From what I can see, the members are a cross section of travelers who for one reason or another are members of that club.

It sounds to me like you've never been inside the President's Club, neither at Newark nor any of the other clubs.

Gravatar that was my first and probably last time in a presidents club.. nice seats and free booze but i definitely wouldn't pay 600 a year for it. There's nice seats and booze in the aiport bar too.

Gravatar People in airport lounges aren't rich. They are mid management lackeys forced to fly so much they gain status on airlines

Gravatar This really is a nice lounge by US standards. But travel in Asia and see what the good shit really is. Showers, espresso, sushi, draft beer, wifi, imacs, beds, those magic japanese toilets, massage, etc. Everything but a BJ.
