Gravatar indcidentally....your site is my favorite link on my site. love how you have such an eye for the best touches of the hatten. and of course the wading in the.......reference. keep up the concistant detail on the apple

Gravatar I have read (i think in the AIGA guide) that this is the last remaining wall of the original ball park where the brooklyn dodgers played before they were the dodgers -- circa 1890s or something. The arches were ticket windows. this was before they moved to ebbets field.

Gravatar Behind the wall is a kitchen countertop factory. The people who own it are the same people who own (or owned- I was last in there two or three years ago) the long, low green building at the corner of Bond and Union. That building was a countertop factory as well, but has been shut down for years.

Gravatar I think the old Brooklyn Dodgers stadium (Washington Park) was at 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street, but I could be mistaken.

I love this wall, I walk by it just about every day. Hey, if you live in the neighborhood you should check out my site, I take pictures around here all the time.

Gravatar this is off Bond St on the CG side of the canal. the old ballpark wall is part of the Verizon complex at 3rd and 3rd.

thanks for reading and commenting everyone- J$

Gravatar I often Google addresses in NYC to see what they used to be. Upon doing that to my own address, I learned that my current building used to be a hotel!
