Would that today's men and women in uniform be allowed the unfettered opportunity to display their own resolve to complete the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The parallels are almost too numerous to mention, Sly.

"Families of fallen airmen question support of former enemies: Is it worth it?"
"Administration criticized for unilateral (because France wasn't involved) action in controversial Berlin airlift operation."
