Not that these trolls care very much, but for what it's worth, Morton devonshire has deleted no items at all (see his deletion log here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index....vonshire&page=) . In addition, if you check the list of administrators (available at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index....99&group=sysop) , you'll see he's not even an administrator. If you want to come after someone who deletes stuff, there's many better people than him, such as myself (over 20,000 deletions and counting).

Q) Why is a Wikipedia bio page a "vanity page" when it relates to an advocate for 9/11 truth and not for everyone else?. I don't know what information I am supposed to be "suppressing" on Wikipedia. but it should be pointed out that a google groups search will find that I quite agree that Ruby Ridge and Waco involved criminal activities by the United States Government and its agents. If I differ on the Brown's, or whatever the subject of discussion was on Wikipedia, it's because I think the situation is different.

In July 10, Ron Paul, a congressman from Texas, delivered a tirade against his version of neoconservatism. He called it "Neo-Conned!" and he posted it on his website and had it distributed as best he could. A considerable part of it is devoted to his version of my writings, and is so inaccurate, so distorted, and so nasty, as to make me wish once again that this country had a decent libel law so that I could at least get some money from him and give him a healthy dose of the public humiliation he deserves. Unfortunately, members of Congress are protected from such suits. We've exchanged a few e-mails, and the best he could come up with was a generic "if I've gotten it wrong, I'm sorry," which is clearly not good enough from a man who accuses me of advocating the very opposite of what I have clearly written. He makes me into an advocate of big government, when I wrote Freedom Betrayed, a book that calls for open revolution against expanding governmental power. He brands me an advocate of military invasion of Iran, when I've written scores of articles and a good chunk of a well-known book, The War Against the Terror Masters, that explicitly defines military action against Iran a mistake. I want political action.

He takes many of my descriptions of Machiavelli's thought (from my Machiavelli on Modern Leadership) and turns them — often in distorted form — into my own advocacy. It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't read very well that there's a difference between authors and the subjects they write about. And he hasn't bothered to read my Tocqueville on American Character, in which I discuss the urgency of combating centralized state power and the centrality of human freedom in modern conflict.

The worst of Ron Paul's diatribe is his total sliming of all those he calls neocons. He says that, among other crazy and dangerous beliefs they (and therefore I): accept the notion that the ends justify the means; express no opposition to the welfare state; believe pertinent facts about how a society should be run should be held by the elite and withheld from those who do not have the courage to deal with it; hold Leo Strauss in high esteem; say that 9/11 resulted from the like of foreign entanglements, not from too many; endorse attacks on civil liberties, such as those in the Patriot Act; unconditionally support Israel and have a close alliance with the Likud Party. The last is the usual garbage from extremists who don't like Jews. The rest are wrong. The "ends and means" nonsense isn't even Machiavelli, although Paul thinks it is. He says "there is a recognized philosophic connection between modern-day neoconservatives and Irving Kristol, Leo Strauss, and Machiavelli." More nonsense. In fact, when Irving Kristol commented on my Machiavelli book, he went out of his way to criticize me for writing on such a subject, because he felt so negatively about Machiavelli.

The heart of Paul's attack on me is this paragraph:
In Ledeen's most recent publication, The War Against the Terror Masters, he reiterates his beliefs outlined in this 1999 Machaivelli book. He specifically praises: "Creative destruction…both within our own society and abroad…(foreigners) seeing America undo traditional societies may fear us, for they do not wish to be undone." Amazingly, Ledeen concludes: "They must attack us in order to survive, just as we must destroy them to advance our historic mission." If those words don't scare you, nothing will? He conveniently leaves out the context, which is a discussion of the basic conflict between us and the terror masters: a conflict between freedom and tyranny. I argue, as I argued during the Cold War with regard to Communism, and as I argued in my books on fascism earlier, that the conflict between America and tyrants is inevitable. His attack, like those coming from the likes of Pat Buchanan and extremists on the other end of the political spectrum (look at David Frum's recent encounter with some of my leftist attackers), are incitements to personal violence. And this self-proclaimed libertarian hides behind the skirts of the very nanny state he so loudly deplores. I would get emails telling me how I should vote and what guidelines etc. Kinda whats on the noticeboard now. Anyway I recently exposed the truth since its really not against any guidelines to tell people how they should vote and what policies, as long as you do it off wiki or in your own user space, meaning not posting to each persons. I cited this as a flaw and exposed how it worked etc, the admin protection we had under an understanding kinda thing, we were doing MONGO's dirty work and all.

So Morton posts on my page basically saying he wont be my friend anymore, then removing me from his friends list all together on his own user page. Then in came the workers, I say workers because certain people play certain roles, like Morton removes sources from articles to prep them for WP:RS complains during the AfD, I pose as neutral to give the board a good image and play passive agressive, Tbeatty kinda does as Morton does. Arthur Rubin plays far neutral, not seeming like a member at all, Hipocrite does a lot of the agitating on talk pages and "snitching" and we all work together to preserve our versions. Tom reverts, the Morton, then Tbeatty, then Arthur, then Hipocrite etc.

Since the article is on the noticeboard we know what to watch. We know what limits to push, what talk infuriates people. Just keep callnig the opposing party "truthers" and "conspiracy theorists" and they will get annoyed, and usually say something stupid enough to be cited for WP:CIVIL, WP:AGF etc. The thing is Thatcher is the system works on 1 to 1 editing, 3RR stops revert wars when its 1 to 1, but when its 3-1, it just helps maintain a particular view. Its why Travb, FAAFA, Nescio, Seabhcan, Stone Put To Sky, etc ended up on the losing end or gone or de-sysop'd, they worked alone and didnt form up to make their own boards etc. Their own "teams". You can see usually from the AfD's, one person makes an arguement and everyone just rephrases it or says, "per morton", yet they appear to be a concensus because 7 editors on one AfD is higher then normal for such a little known topic, and they all vote the same ...

A Brooklyn man was arrested Friday and charged with hate crimes for putting copies of the Quran, the Islamic "holy" book, in toilets at Pace University last year, police said.

Stanislav Shmulevich, 23, of 1734 W. 4 St., Brooklyn, was charged with criminal mischief and aggravated harassment as hate crimes, police said.

Shmulevich is accused of putting a copy of the Quran in a toilet on Oct. 13 and Nov. 21.

Muslim community leaders and Muslim students at the university had demanded a crackdown on hate crimes there last year after a series of incidents.

There were other incidents of the Quran being found in a toilet, racial slurs scrawled on a student's car at the Westchester County satellite campus and on a bathroom wall at the lower Manhattan campus.

Police said other incidents are still under investigation.

Faiza Ali, a Pace senior and a member of the Muslim Students' Association, said the university did not initially take the incidents seriously enough, classifying the first desecration of the holy book as an act of vandalism.

University officials later reversed themselves and referred the incidents to the New York Police Department's Hate Crimes Unit, Ali said.

Omar Mohammedi, president of the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim civil rights group, said Muslims "are concerned with the fact that it has been repeated ... "

Ali had said Muslim students at Pace feel threatened, though no physical threats or confrontations have been reported.

Aliya Latif, a member of the Association of Muslim American Lawyers, has said, "This is no different from placing a burning cross in front of a house or painting a swastika on a locker."

Jefferson's Ghost - The reason the powers are limited is that you can't go around deleting pages as you see fit. There is an "articles for deletion" process where groups of editors will discuss whether a particular page should be deleted. If they agree they ask an admin to do the work. So an admin is more like a secretary to a committee, no real power.

As to the edit. If you could provide a link or a time stamp to that edit you are talking about I might be able to track it down and explain it. Also, to become an admin you have to show a long record (1000's of edits) of constructive edits and general house keeping. Then you need to get proposed for admin and get voted in.

But the admin powers are fairly limited. All you can really do is protect and delete pages. But if you do that against policy or consensus you will get kicked out fairly quick

First of all, Wikipedia is only a start point for any sort of research on the internet, because its open source nature renders it susceptible to lies and the sorts of things you're complaining about here.

Second, Wikipedia is most assuredly pro-Zionist, pro-Israel. Watch how entries for people make every effort to discuss whether they are Jewish and how they relate to Jewish people. So this is yet another reason to not trust Wikipedia.

I think you're better off not having a Wiki entry. It's just as easy to Google WRH or you personally. Besides, someone's blog tends to show who and what they are better than any Wiki entry would.

I say this is much ado about nothing. Nobody who is serious about learning factual reality depends heavily on Wiki.

As you can see on his page, he is proud of the deletions of very valid stories that he has made.

This hurts the Wikipedia Encylopedia in many ways.

For starters... the validity of an open source project such as Wikipedia is now offically down the tube. All credibility goes right along with it, if you continue to allow rogue members like Morton Devonshire to continue to delete and remove solid and sound informational posts like he has been doing.

Secondly, it hurts your readers. No longer can we be garanteed access to information that once held up to credible standards on Wikipedia.

I reccomend eliminating the deletion process or at the very least changing the process to disallow one or two or even a small group of people to be able to remove and delete postings.

The concept of Wikipedia is a good concept... open source info on all topics. The internet moves so fast, that this could well be one of the greatest informational assets that the internet has.

Are you going to let that legacy be destroyed by people who harbor rogue agendas to solid and sound information - e.g., the Republican Sex Scandal etc.

This user is clearly abusing his powers and it's up to you to do something about it and possibly reinstate the pages upon pages of information that this user and his henchman have single handedly been responsible for deleting!

I urge you to ban this user, and also reinstate the volumes of data. Help restore Wikipedia's face amongst the online community.

The fires weakened the trusses supporting the floors, making the floors sag. The sagging floors pulled on the exterior steel columns to the point where exterior columns bowed inward. With the damage to the core columns, the buckling exterior columns could no longer support the buildings, causing them to collapse. In addition, the report asserts that the towers' stairwells were not adequately reinforced to provide emergency escape for people above the impact zones. NIST stated that the final report on the collapse of 7 WTC will appear in a separate report.[144]This was confirmed by an independent study by Purdue University.[145]"

E-mailing wikipedia.org will have zero effect. Better just to get deeply involved in the content discussions on particular pages.

I and others have been fighting these battles for years and we've been always outnumbered.

(Update - Devonshire has now locked his page so it can't be edited, but we should all complain to Wikipedia (info-en-v@wikimedia.org) that he is editing and removing pages with a clear vendetta and bias (his denial of Republican sex scandals being the obvious example) - and his administration privileges should be removed immediately.

Shortly after the release of this article, one of Devonshire's groupies responded by statting "We better start plotting more to keep the truth about 9/11 underwraps" - this is another example of clear bias and another reason why these people should have their administration rights revoked by Wikipedia.

THe constitution is not an agreement between the government and the people, who ever told you that was a hell of a salesman....

A constitution outlines the rules from which the government governs a people.

It is not by agreement with those people, it is by agreement from the founders.

If the land fails, look at the constitution from which it has been founded. If you can't find it there, look if the past 50 years of that counry abided by or disolved the constitution from which they are governer..

I'm afraid that "votes' for article deletion are not really votes. You must make a convincing argument against deletion. Also, votes by anonymous or new editors (called "single purpose accounts") are regularly ignored.

Best bet to get your voice heard is to edit non-9/11 articles for a while, get to know wikipedia policy and rules. When you feel the need to speak out on 9/11 articles, be polite, reasoned and logical. Argue on points of wikipedia policy, not on the subject matter. For example, argue that the topic is notable and that the material is well sourced. If you blurt out that "9/11 is an inside job" you will be rightly ignored.

Remember, its an encyclopedia, not a forum.
