Jerusalem- Israel is prepared to transfer tax funds to the Palestinian Authority (PA), provided that a mechanism is developed that will ensure that the money does not reach the Islamic Hamas movement, Israeli officials said Thursday. The funds would be for humanitarian purposes only, an official added. "This is Palestinian money" and Israel does not plan to hold onto it once a mechanism is working, a spokeswoman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said.In January, Israel transferred to the Palestinian presidency approximately 100 million dollars from taxes it collects for the PA, intended to meet humanitarian needs. According to PA estimates,Israel currently holds at least 700 million dollars in additional funds.The PA has been placed under an international boycott since Hamas rose to power following last year's election. The group refused trecognize Israel and renounce violence.Earlier Thursday, Norway transferred funds to the PA, in what was the first such donation from a Western state since the boycott began. Meanwhile, Israeli officials said it is likely that Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet at the end of next week, although an exact date and place have not yet been confirmed.

My children love this stuff but give me a good old game of Risk or Chess and I am happy to play all day. Although my gran chess playing days were ended one day in college when an Iranian student put me to shame by whipping me in about 12 moves, twice, yikes! (talk about humble pie!) I can still play just not at that level anymore, if at all ever really. To the Old school chess players I probalby can't play. Still I like a challenge and these new games do challenge you enough to pique my interest.

That was done just with goldwave. I have misplaced a ton of my audio forensic tools, so it was the best I could do. The thing that bothered me the most is that there were several different voices talking on top of each other. I had to peel away some of the voices to get the ones you hear as clear as I could. The problem with that is if the other voices were more important.
There was some other intelligence that didn't make it into that edit. Overall, it sounded like the students were advancing on the soldiers. Someone told them to move back. I heard someone say the couldn't move through. Etc... like I said, lots of voices, but they had to get filtered to try to focus on the "commands."
I'm interested in what you hear.

This is a pretty crazy story from Digg from this am. A researcher found a tape of the killing of student war protestors by the National Guard at Kent State University on 1970. He suggests on the tape you can hear the command being given to point at the students and fire. This was a story on CNN's site at some point, but the audio got deleted. I found the audio on another site. The sound is very grainy and not clear, but if you listen closely you can maybe hear an authoritative voice saying something, maybe even "Fire". Then shots ring out. It would be nice if the audio could be cleaned up and analysed.

Hey RCF, have you ever wondered if the whole Quebec separation referendums were staged in order to get people from different provinces (who are pissed at our own government) to get behind Canada. There has been dissent from provinces against Canada as a country since the 1867 when Canada was formed. Is it possible that Quebec was never serious about separating? That this is all a ruse to keep Canada together? Most of the Canadian government criminals come from Quebec. The prime Ministers all come from Quebec. It seems to me that Quebec runs Canada.
This thought occurred to me when I watched that Connie Fogal video and she said that the Bloc Quebecois (who has always been for Quebec independence or so we think) is for the Amero. I personally can't really see any reason anymore for Canada to exist. It was all done in 1867 for globalization. Why on earth would you join all these regions together. Each has different geographical features, different interests and economies. If you ask me, each province should be it's own country. It just seems that Canada was formed for globalization and that each province has it's own interests that have nothing to do with one another.

Sorry, my long post just before is long run on sentences that are all jumbled. I hope it made some sort of sense. I was just trying to say that I think our countries here in the West are in and of themselves a product of the early stages of globalizm. The states never should have joined to make the US. The provinces never should have joined to make Canada. Same in Russia and China. It just doesn't make any sense. I think the Constitution, which is great, is hypocritical because it applies to a bunch of states all together instead of for the individual states themselves. As soon as you get countries this big, the tax dollars are always used to make a war machine. I think the Constitution was used to lull people into a sense of having rights if they joined into a union. Meanwhile in the background, the banks were using this union to make a war machine. The US should just break up into it's individual states again and each adopt the core principles of the Constitution in it's own way. Same with Canada and the others.

Fuck, I just realized something today. The US, Canada, the US, Russia, China. We are all countries originating from the plan of globalization. It makes no geographical sense to have countries the sizes of ours. Look in Europe and South America and Africa. Are there any countries as big as Canada, the US, Russia or China? No. Because every other country is geographically bordered in a way that makes some sort of sense. People having something in common because the land asks for it, not a bank. When globalization got a hold of the states 2 hundred years ago, some of the leaders disagreed, but were lulled into joining by this thing called the Constitution that would guarantee some rights to people and to limit the size of this centralization of the states. But the Constitution is a running hypocracy, because it guarantees liberties but you can't expect people from different states who have different demands of survival to defend something that joins people together who don't have anything in common. Once you join states like this to this magnitude, it doesn't matter if you have a constitution. The banks knew this. No wonder there was so much infighting with founders. Most of them probably knew joining the States together was a bad idea and not necessary. Canada forming as a country too when John A MacDonald, buddy buddy with the queen, convinced everyone. People didn't think it smelled right. There is just no logical reason that the US, Canada, Russia and China even exist. All of this states joining into countries is a bad idea. We need to go back to the system of individual states and provinces as countries. People joined together because their geographical similarities ask for it, not some plan to join things together for reasons that don't make any sense. We need to go back to pre constitution times, each state adopting a copy of the Constitution for it's own.

It does not matter if one believes the oficial version of the horrific events that have taken place since 911, and even before that, or if they believe that there is a conspiracy, here is why:

On 911 Four planes are hijacked, the hijackings were reported long before any plane crashed, these planes were tracked by radar for more than 1.5 hours, and were wildly off course, yet no Military aircraft was dispached, Norad did nothing, Fema did nothing and the Government did nothing. So that means we are to beleive that with all of the massive planning and money and manpower that would have had to go into an attack of this type somehow slipped past our government and all of its many agencies and surveilance and took place killing thousands and destroying three huge buildings in one of the most major cities in the world, damaged one of the most secure and most surveiled building in the world and almost hit the Home of the President of the United STates. Well then you should be very affraid because our Government has then proven that they are in fact imbeciles and can do nothing to protect us from such things.

Within 45 days of 911 the Patriot Act went into effect, The lies from the Government concerning 911 begin coming out and we end up in a war with a country that absolutely no ties to 911 were ever established. A war we continue to fight even though the President himself on National television Proclaimned "Mission Accomplished". Not to mention the GLARING discrepancies of the whole event and then events that followed instituted legislation and laws that not only enable to Government to develope files and tap phones with total impudence but allow for files to be maintained on all US citizens as well as track movements and money. Plus we now have a "Big Brother" type surveilance system pretty much nation wide and with every Act of violence, most of which the official reports also Have Glaring discrepancies and do not quite match the wittness accounts, there come new laws. All of which go against the constitution and further take rights from the American Citizen. The fact is that these laws and legislation provide absolutely no protection from terrorist attacks they only hinder and outright steal the freedom of the public at large.
So either way it shows that the Government is not a good one. Either they are total imbeciles or Evil warmongering Fascists that seek world domination. But either way it is the citizens that lose.

Well, I know it won't. I am no stranger to brain- computer interfaces. I actually wish it were true, but it isn't. There is no cheap way (yet) to extract intelligible brain waves.
I once worked with the NY State Dept. of health on a project to allow quadriplegics to control a computer mouse with the brain. At the time, EVERY other solution was using myoelectric tech. These measured the direction the eyes were looking based on activity in the ocular muscles.
Last I read, Dr. Wolpaw and his team were able to get 3 dimensions of control. They were using a 32 channel EEG connected to a computer with a custom interface. The set up time was huge with the electrode cap, the conductive gel insertion, etc... The signals were extremely dirty, and nearly all the processing power was used to filter the signals looking for just 2 signals in Mu (motor processing) range. It also took a considerable amount of training on the part of the patient to control the mouse at all. There was small but significant portion of the patients that could not do it at all.
But, at any rate, if the end result does what they claim, yeah, it's still kinda cool. I was just trying to pre-empt the whole "videogames are going to read my mind and tell microsoft on me" babble.
You know I'll be buying one regardless.
P.S. One thing you might find interesting is that with the proper feedback, any electronic appendage attached to the brain (third arm, etc..) will become natural to the user. The brain will form circuits to control it just like any other muscle. The one thing that would not be easy to replicate is to put it to sleep so that our dreams do not control it. The body creates a chemical that inhibits the impulses to the muscles, so that we don't walk in our sleep, etc.. When people sleep walk, it is because they are deficient in this chemical. This is also responsible for the often frightening experience of sleep paralysis.

Rise in gun crime forces Swiss to reconsider right to bear arms

Switzerland, an island of gun culture at the heart of Europe, is agonising over whether to introduce controls on possessing guns and ammunition as alarm spreads about the number of gun deaths in the country.
The latest incident occurred on the evening of Friday 13 April in the restaurant of a hotel in the northern city of Baden - three days before Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people at Virginia Tech in the United States.
In the Baden eruption one man was killed and four wounded. A 26-year-old bank employee who is, like all Swiss men between 20 and 30, a member of the state militia, walked into the hotel and opened fire. Two brothers aged 15 and 16, sitting with their parents, were the first to be struck. The 16-year-old was critically wounded with two bullets in the stomach. The gunman then swung round and took aim at the bar, killing a 71-year-old man and wounding two others. He only stopped firing when he had used up all 20 rounds.
Apart from the number of rounds fired - Cho shot at least 170 times - the other difference is that the Swiss killer was armed by the state. His right to keep arms and ammunition at home, and to carry them freely, is defended as a key civil liberty and guarantee of the nation's independence.
But that argument, used for decades to justify the fact that more than two million arms are in private possession in this nation of 7.5 million people, is now under siege. Last month a senate committee voted overwhelmingly against the holding of ammunition at home. The issue must now be decided in parliament.
The worst massacre in recent Swiss history occurred in September 2001 when a man opened fire during a local government meeting in the town of Zug, south of Zurich, killing 15 people including himself.
Switzerland has no standing army, but all young men are obliged to train as soldiers and are called up for three or four weeks a year for abouta decade. Throughout this time they keep a rifle plus maybe a pistol at home, with ammunition. Once the call-up period ends they are not required to surrender them. The rationale is that the entire population is ready to spring to the nation's defence in the event of the French, Germans or Italians deciding to invade.
They call it the porcupine approach - millions of individuals ready to stiffen like spines if the motherland is threatened. The fact that all Switzerland's neighbours have been at peace for 60 years cuts no ice with the upholders of the policy.
"An army should be ready ... so soldiers should have weapons and ammunition at home," declares Ulrich Schluer, an MP who sits on a committee on security.
But the price of eternal vigilance is frequent funerals: in 2005, 48 people were murdered by gunfire in Switzerland - about the same number as in England and Wales, which have a population seven times as large. According to the International Action Network on Small Arms, an anti-gun organisation based in the UK, 6.2 people died of bullet wounds in Switzerland in 2005 per 100,000 of population, second only to the US figure of 9.42, and more than double the rate of Germany and Italy.
Annabelle, a women's magazine, was enlisted in the campaign to ban the gun. "We don't know any women who want a weapon in the house," says Lisa Feldmann, the editor. "Women and the younger generation think this is crazy."

Not to contradict you buddy but I have a good thought on this issue. It goes like this:
We are, militarily 50 years behind what the Government really has (making it imperative we have the Armed services working for the citizens and not the corporations). If they are willing to show us a 'toy' like this, it might have some 'new' item, well new to us common folk, that is going to do what they claim. I am not saying it will . I. saying it it just that you have got to do the math and extrapolate the data about 50 years and agree with me that this stuff is probably somebodies reality toy right now.

here we go with the drills/excercises, and how many have been turned actual now? is this not terrorism? acting/preparing for terrorism is all fear based and terrorism of itself. as a kid in california we had air raid drills at school to duck under desks lacing fingers over the back of our necks to protect us from nuclear blast and it made me pray to be at ground zero rather than a fringe area and suffer radiation poisoning. think about the psychological effects of this on a young kid. later on those drills were replaced with earthquake drills probably for seeing what kind of effects the nuclear air raid drills were having on us kids. kids are kids, has anything changed at all about that?
-and what about the people who arent made aware of these drills seeing troops coming in to what... round them up to FEMA CAMPS ? do you think it's possible some people after learning about new orleans might just shoot first and ask questions later because of some 'what if' fear based excercise? how brilliant is this?!
I have heard so very many people saying that those of us who see a conspiracy are less than intelligent. I have to respond tho this. I have been told that those of us who see a conspiracy cannot be reasoned with, that no dialog can be opened with us. Well The truth is that it is those that do not see the conspiracy that cannot be reasoned with. I trully believe that even they see it, but refuse to "see" it out of fear of what it would mean. They see that the "laws" put in place to "stop terrorism" seems only to affect the average american citizen. But they refuse to see the meaning of all of this. They refuse to see that soon there will be no constitution there will be no freedom there will be only One Government and they as well as we will be forced to do whatever they want us to do. But yet these same people who refuse to look at evidence that is before them, actual physical evidence that they can see, touch and yes taste, these same people have no problem believing in a bieng that cannot be seen, touched or even heard in any real sense. Why are so many caught up in the slight of hand here? Why do the debunkers focus on the truth as being about ONLY war in Iraq, because as bad as that is it is only collateral to the real reasons. The real reasons are simply put ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. But the ones that bring thiese thing about, they feed the public issues to take up thier minds. They have fed them "Predators" they have fed them "Gay Marriage" they have fed them so many issues that should not be issues at all, and this keeps the focus off of them. It is the "Schoolyard Bully" syndrome. Point out the flaws of others to keep the focus off of me. So here is my challenge to thaose that do not believe in conspiracy. I am listening, I will hear your side of it and will weigh any evidence you have that is credible and researched and provable. i will Hear what you have to say. The challenge is you then must do the same for me. See this has been the problem all along, the debunkers use the "explanations" of the people that are behind it all as thier argument, they do not research on thier own to see what the proof is. They simply take the word of Government Officials, and The Scientific comunity which are employed by the Government, and we all know that the Government has never lied to us....right? But then you have those of us who have been on the inside of that powerful entity, those of us who have seen things at the highest levels and know what the big picture is, those of us who rely solely on what we can research and see for ourselves. I do not believe in a conspiracy because someone else shows me evidence and tell me what it means, i believe because I did my own research, I did my own studies, I saw things for myself. i reached my conclusions without the word of others. But for those of you who do not see it, then you are doing exactly what the perpetrators of this great work of fiction want from you, you are helping them to accomplish the very thing they want to happen. I fully believe you do it because you are affraid that the truth will show you haw sinister and evil the Governments of the world including our own really are, and it will show you that mass murder means nothing to them to get what they want. You live in fear of the terrorists abroad, yet have no fear of the terrorists you defend, the ones that run this country. Because of you, and all those like you, our children will live in the world that is to come. I only hope our children can overcome the brainwashing they are going through and eventually do what must be done to restore freedom. Device touching the skin on the forehead is NOT going to measure brainwaves. It measures myoelectric potentials (muscle impulses.) These are mush easier to read because they are close to the skin. To read brain waves, you must extremely amplify the signals, since you are measuring through the skull. The signal is very very noisy because it will also contain the muscle activity,and distortion from the severe amplification. This is not cheap technology and cannot yet just be "strapped on." It requires very precise placement, the use of conductive gels, etc..
Myoelectric devices on the other hand are very cheap, very simple, and can just be strapped on. Conductive gel or saltwater helps, but sweat works too. None is really required, since the signals are very simple and already fairly large (not much amplification needed.) Every toy that has been made that claimed to be brainwave activated has been the myoelectric technology. I have absolutely no idea how they keep getting away with calling it brainwaves.

This is NOT what Jennings reported. Jennings and Hess decide to leave the empty (previously evacuated) OEM on the 23rd floor but only make it down to the 6th or 8th floor when an "explosion" ( presumably from the collapse of the North Tower at 10:28 ) traps them there. They break a window and call out for help, but aren't rescued for another hour or so.
