I was in Des Moines on Saturday fighting for Ron Pau who was undemocratically kicked out of the debate for no reason, I hope he wins the Iowa Straw Poll, common Iowa this is your freedom at stake. We had a nice crowd there well over 1,000. We raised the roof in the parking lot yelling sloagans singing. handing out literature and holding signs at by passing cars. Ron Paul gave a great speech, brought the house down. Get involved in the Ron Paul Campaign if you want to do something. We are not just on the internet.
Edwards doesn't have much of a plan on how to mandate anything. Nor do most of the other candidates. Ron Paul is the only candidate on either side of the Jackyderm party who is willing to stand up for the Constitution. He is the only candidate who truly believes in and pushes for less government, less war, less taxes, less control and more freedom. Sure, a few of the Democrats were against war from the beginning, but they are socialists who will only help to grow our already enormous and over-stretching government. Ron Paul holds true to the values of this country's founders who were strongly against a huge federal government like the one we have today.
We must pour on the support for Dr. Ron Paul if we expect him to compete with the corporate front men in the run for President. That means donations folks. Give his campaign some funds. All the other candidates are bankrolled by big business, which is why they work for them and not us! The people must fund Ron Paul's campaign. I sent in 50 bucks last week. I'll send regular donations as long as he stays in the race. Imagine if a million people sent him 10 bucks! Buy bumper stickers and hand them out to friends. Write the media and let them know that you will register protests with their advertisers if he is unfairly treated or ignored. Personally, I doubt he can be elected in today's USA, because I doubt enough people will stand up for him. I WILL stand up for him though and hope you all do so as well. He may be the last chance we ever have as decent American's to get our country back.

That is the problem. Stop them and immigration ceases. People would rather stay in their country when they could make a living. I would expect a higher level of sophistication from the prison planet type person, due to the insightfull non mainstream media approach to 9-11 and other issues. But here the reaction is straight from the cuff, impulsive, hatefull and ignorantly attacking the symptom (immigrants) instead of the cause (imperialism) (global billionaires that pull the strings.) I tried to get through on KGO radio in San Francisco which is the biggest ABC affiliate on the west coast to talk to the talk show host DR. Bil Wattenburg to ask him why Dr. Ron Paul is being blacklisted by the mass media and was told by the KGO screener this program is not a political forum for particular people running for office even though I had told this screener I had gotten the information from ABC's own polls that Ron Paul won the repubican debates hands down. July 2000 Coles supermarket New Farm, I am on the checkout line one evening early in the week, the supermarket is busy and there is a guy in his twenties, red hair and looks a bit lost, uncertain whether he is in an adjacent checkout line or waiting aloof from the line. His clothes are a tad worn, footy shorts and sneakers, T shirt and a light jacket. The line I am in runs parallel to him, he shuffles forward, open faced and vulnerable. He is with a fellow wearing fairly up market gym clothes who sees me looking and glares.
A couple days later Steven Goldsmith is reported missing from his New Farm flat by a flatmate who has not seen him for several days. His photo appears in the newspapers and on TV, he was the young ginger haired man who was in the supermarket. The person with him is a regular patron of Fitzone Gym in the Valley.
The woman at Missing Persons told me over the phone her name was Clair then got bitchy and hung up. Ringing back she would provide no further information like her full name and police rank, I protested, she got bitchy and hung up again.
Update: While doing additional research Googling Steven one encountered a listing for Australian Missing Persons @supernerd.com, I had contacted them in November 2006 telling them I had info re Steven’s disappearance, and that this was only one of many cases where we had a problem with the inadequate police response re murder. They said they were in touch with Stevens parents, and over the course of a number of phone calls assured me that the parents were happy that perhaps some headway was being made.
I called again early May 2007, they said an Australian TV Station had recently aired a program re this man’s disappearance, that they had contacted both the Gym in question, and the supermarket where I had reported the sighting, to be told at both places that security footage from that far back was no longer available, and that Steven Goldsmith had never been a member of the Fitzone Gym in the Brisbane suburb of Fortitude Valley. AMP@snerd said they were still in contact with Stevens parents who, “…just wanted to know”. There is a big fat problem with that.
No one had ever said that Goldsmith had ever been a member of the gym in question… The person with him on the night he disappeared was for a period of years a regular and prominent member of a clique of undesirables who frequented the gym, and who were police as far as I knew. Since they looked and acted like police, and drove half broke down old automobiles which is what police drive. So whoever put the TV show together, who used the gym and supermarket material which I had compiled, in a manner more likely to confuse the issue than bring the perpetrators to justice. The assertion that his parents “…just want to know” is BS.

TIMELINE: The Secret Bush-Democratic Trade Deal & What It Means
Six hours after the press conference, Washington Post business columnist Steve Pearlstein, one of the leading opinionmakers on trade issues, declares the deal to be a "major achievement" even though the full details of the deal have yet to be released. Pearlstein's declaration flies in the face of an article he wrote less than a year ago urging Democrats "to take [free trade] hostage" and not "give away the store." His article appears to be the pundit class's starting gun to trumpet the deal, much as the pundit class provided a cheerleading section for NAFTA and the China free trade pact.
By the next morning, Bloomberg News reports that the Teamsters are the first union to say the deal is too weak to support. "It's definitely a step in the right direction, but it's not enough to take back to our workers," says Yvette Pena Lopes, legislative representative for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. "Until these trade agreements can guarantee there will be job creation and not job off-shoring, we won't be happy."
Here's some more important details. According to my Capitol Hill sources, most Democratic lawmakers still have not seen the language of the deal. These sources also tell me that while Rangel originally promised organized labor that he would not agree to a deal without a process for labor to review the language, at the moment of Pelosi's press release, labor leaders were in the midst of a conference call to discuss the deal and had not yet provided final input. Furthermore, sources tell me that a group of Democrats in vulnerable seats who had campaigned for office opposing further NAFTA-style free trade expansion informed Pelosi's office early in the day of their concerns and were assured that the Speaker did not have an official position on a deal.
I want to reiterate, we have not yet seen the details of this deal. While the secrecy and this information aggregated in this dispatch certainly raises very serious concerns about what the White House and this handful of Democrats are trying to hide, we have to reserve final judgment on what the deal ultimately means until these players decide to disclose their deliberations to the American public.
Nonetheless, there are very real reasons to be concerned. During NAFTA and China PNTR, this same kind of secretive process unfolded, with the same politicians declaring that the deals were all about helping American workers and the same media outlets behaving as stenographers for such declarations - all while the details were concealed. The bottom line is clear: If this deal sells out the American middle class - as many longtime fair trade Democrats in Congress seem to fear - it will require a massive grassroots pressure campaign to demand Democrats respect the 2006 election's fair trade mandate and back off.

UPDATE I: The U.S. Senate Democratic Policy Committee is now blasting out emails to Capitol Hill of press releases praising the deal from the National Association of Manufacturers, the Financial Services Forum, Microsoft and the Emergency Committee on Trade - the corporate front group pushing this deal.
UPDATE II: This U.S. Business and Industry Council - the group that represents mid-sized domestic manufacturers - just issued a press release stating: "The 'New Trade Policy' compromise announced yesterday by House Democratic leaders, House Republicans, and the Bush administration will become a simple sell-out of U.S. producer and worker interests if not quickly accompanied by more fundamental changes in America’s global trade strategy." Full details of the trade proposal have still not been released, almost a full day after the Bush-Democratic press conference.

Thursday, May 10th was a whirlwind day on the political frontlines in the War on the Middle Class, as a handful of senior congressional Democrats and the White House - cheered on by K Street lobbyists - joined forces today to announce a "deal" on a package of trade agreements that could impact millions of American workers and potentially calls into question the entire election mandate of 2006 (I say potentially because the full details are still being concealed by both Democrats and the White House). You'll notice the irony of the deal with just a glance at the front of the New York Times business section (screen captured here) - the deal was agreed to (though its details have still not been made public) on the very same day the U.S. government reported another widening of America's job-destroying trade deficit.

Because so much transpired yesterday, I'm going to summarize it here chronologically in bullet points to make it easier to digest.
I've been covering it live all day, but figured for brevity it would be best to put it in one place. For context, remember that, as Public Citizen has documented and as business publications like Forbes Magazine has confirmed, Democrats won their congressional majority in 2006 thanks to scores of challenger candidates specifically running against lobbyist-written trade policy. This 2006 lesson is particularly important to Democrats who, in the early 1990s experienced their own President campaign for office opposing unfair trade deals, then ram NAFTA through Congress "over the dead bodies" of workers, then watch the Democratic majority get decimated in the following election. I want to stress, we still don't know the details of the deal, but we do have some critically important information to analyze.
Here's the timeline of the day:
Mid-afternoon today, six populist, fair trade Democrats author a letter to the House Democratic leadership demanding a full Democratic caucus debate over a secret trade proposal that Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) have been negotiating with the White House. This proposal has been kept ultra-secret even from fellow Democratic lawmakers, much like the Cheney energy task force. The negotiations have coincided with Baucus and Rangel forming a joint corporate fundraising PAC, and with Baucus's International Economic Summit, where the lineup of speakers demanded Baucus support more free trade pacts and ignore the Montana State Senate's resolution urging him to stop such pacts in the future. The letter from the populist Democrats follows similar earlier letters of concern from rank-and-file Democrats.
About an hour after the letter is sent, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has refrained from taking a position on the secret negotiations, sends out word of a major press conference that would be held at 6pm EST with herself, Baucus, Rangel, Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Bush Trade Representative Susan Schwab. The press conference is to announce a "deal" whereby these senior Democrats agree to support a package of pending trade deals with Peru, Panama, South Korea and Colombia, supposedly in exchange for major reforms to these trade deals, including the addition of strong labor and environmental protections. The press conference is sponsored by the New Democrats - the group of Democrats that have historically supported lobbyist-written trade pacts and that was instrumental in passing the credit card-industry-written bankruptcy bill. No progressive Democrats appear at the press conference.
Immediately after the press conference, the New York Times reports that Pelosi, Rangel and Baucus appear to be cutting a "deal" with Bush that the majority of Democrats do not support "Despite the endorsement of Rangel and Pelosi," the Times wrote, "many Democrats say that half or more of the Democrats in Congress may vote against the deal." The Times also notes that the deal "paves the way" for Congress to grant Bush's request to reauthorize fast track authority - the authority that allows presidents to eliminate basic labor, human rights and environmental protections from trade pacts. The Associated Press soon reports that "a half-dozen House Democrats with strong labor ties, watching the news conference from the back of the room, later expressed strong dissatisfaction" with the deal and the process used to make a deal. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) says, "The strongest voices for workers and the environment were not included" in the negotiations and were not informed of the deal. Similarly, Rep. Michael Michaud (D-ME) says, "I'm very disappointed that Speaker Pelosi held a press conference before meeting with the caucus. In a democratic process Democrats ought to know." None of the stories include any comment from representatives of labor, human rights or environmental organizations.
Both a news release from Pelosi and a document sent to Capitol Hill staffers from Baucus's Senate Finance Committee about an hour after the press conference trumpets new labor protections in the deal, but does not say that multinational unions will be able to go to courts to demand enforcement of labor laws - a key privilege multinational corporations currently have in working to dismantle federal and state consumer protection, environmental and labor laws at a cost of at least $1.8 billion to U.S. taxpayers.
An hour after the press conference, the Associated Press reports that Rangel says the trade deal was designed by those who "didn't want the U.S. trade representative to be a lobbyist just for U.S. businesses." The same AP story reports that several of Washington's most powerful corporate lobbying groups offered effusive praise for the deal.
About an hour and a half after the press conference, the Financial Times reports that "the terms of the deal are still being finalized...Democrats were on Thursday resisting making a commitment to seek the passage of a pending trade agreement with Colombia. The Colombian pact has been singled out because of government links to right-wing death squads, the high level of political violence, and killings of trade unionists. The exclusion of Colombia is a setback for the administration...Business lobbyists were less than enthusiastic about the administrations' concessions, which were a sign that the tremendous influence of corporate lobbyists over trade deals had been weakened slightly."
Two hours after the press conference, Agence France Press newswire reports that, in fact, the deal includes Colombia and that K Street is cheering the pact because the labor protections are apparently weak. U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and Republican Party bigwig Tom Donohue tells AFP that he is "encouraged by assurances that the labor provisions [in the deal] cannot be read to require compliance with ILO Conventions." This shocking revelation, which undermines all of the claims made at the press conference, is somehow not reprinted nor probed by any other major media outlet.
Three hours after the press conference, the House Ways and Means Committee issues a press release that includes a quote from Republican Rep. Wally Herger saying that the deal apparently includes assurances of passage of fast track. "We now have a way forward on Panama, Peru, Colombia, South Korea and even reauthorization of TPA," Herger says. The New York Times final story for tomorrow's paper is posted online noting that Rangel is now, for the first time, publicly agreeing to support an extension of fast track. He justifies his new position by claiming he believes the upcoming Doha trade talks are designed to help poor people in the developing world - an assertion that flies in the face of a recent Tufts University report that says exactly the opposite. The full details of the deal still have yet to be released.
Five hours after the press conference, the Washington Post reports that "Thea M. Lee, the legislative policy director for the nation's largest confederation of labor unions, the AFL-CIO, said last night she could envision no scenario that would win labor's approval for a trade deal with Colombia." Lee has been quoted just hours before by Reuters saying the AFL-CIO could not support any deal that allowed the United States to avoid being forced to comply with international labor standards. Because the deal's details have still not been released, it remains unclear whether unions will, in fact, be given the ability to sue in international courts for the enforcement of labor protections - the same ability corporations currently are granted in trade pacts to sue in international courts to eliminate state and federal environmental/consumer protection laws that cut into corporate profits. The AFL-CIO, like other major union, environmental, human rights and consumer protection organizations, has yet to issue a formal statement on the deal.
Five and a half hours after the press conference, the Hill Newspaper reports that K Street lobbying groups are trumpeting Baucus, the Senate's key player in the deal. "It is hard to argue that Max Baucus or others have not been receptive to the business agenda," says a top official of the Business Industry Political Action Committee.
Six hours after the press conference, Washington Post business columnist Steve Pearlstein, one of the leading opinionmakers on trade issues, declares the deal to be a "major achievement" even though the full details of the deal have yet to be released. If you translate that into three dimensions instead of one, it produces a bee that is about half as large again as is natural. By letting the bees build natural sized cells, I have virtually eliminated my Varroa and Tracheal mite problems. One cause of this is shorter capping times by one day, and shorter post-capping times by one day. This means less Varroa get into the cells, and less Varroa reproduce in the cells.
Who should be surprised that the major media reports forget to tell us that the dying bees are actually hyper-bred varieties that we coax into a larger than normal body size? It sounds just like the beef industry. And, have we here a solution to the vanishing bee problem? Is it one that the CCD Working Group, or indeed, the scientific world at large, will support? Will media coverage affect government action in dealing with this issue?
These are important questions to ask. It is not an uncommonly held opinion that, although this new pattern of bee colony collapse seems to have struck from out of the blue (which suggests a triggering agent), it is likely that some biological limit in the bees has been crossed. There is no shortage of evidence that we have been fast approaching this limit for some time.
We've been pushing them too hard, Dr. Peter Kevan, an associate professor of environmental biology at the University of Guelph in Ontario, told the CBC. And we're starving them out by feeding them artificially and moving them great distances. Given the stress commercial bees are under, Kevan suggests CCD might be caused by parasitic mites, or long cold winters, or long wet springs, or pesticides, or genetically modified crops. I was in a long discussion with someone concerning Building 7. Now he explained the falling of a building that was not hit by a plane and was really too far away from the towers with building 6 BETWEEN them as having "been of fire" for several hours. So i had to ask him one question, "what started the fire?" I thought it was a good question to which he did not answer but did say and I quote, "it doesn't matter because the fire didn't bring it down anyway. It was the weight of the rubble from the towers." So I asked another question, "have you ever seen a picture of ANY rubble on Building 7? If so where is it, because all the pictures i have seen from before the building came down show nothing more than dust, and in fact show no damage to the building." Now If, and please note I say if, the fire was responsible i think it a fiar question to ask what started this fire, and why were flamable explosive chemicals in fact stored on upper floors of a building that was never intended for any such storage. But if in fact it was the weight of the "rubble", and please not I say if again, then why is it that none of this rubble can be seen? Why is it that just prior to the collapse that no damage can be seen to the structure itself, and why did it fall straight down if it is true? And finally if it was "rubblr" that brought it down, I really have to know how such rubble made several hundred yards, went through another building doing no substantial damage and then proceeded to bring down a building that was built to withstand more than most buildings are.
Now maybe I am wrong, but i think I have some valid questions here and would really like for those who tell me that I cannot be reasoned with to answer those questions. Oh and being louder does not make you right for all you Colmes fans. For a short time AFTER Michael O. Leavitt left his position as 3-term Utah governor, he was appointed by Bush to be the Head of the Environmental Protection Association (EPA)--which was rediculous because he was no environmentalist (especially with his start-up of the nerve gas incinerator and implementing tax credits which caused a very great increase in smokestack pollution during his Utah tenure). His family was even guilty of spreading "whirling fish disease" all over Utah from their contaminated Loa Fish Hatcheries in blatant defiance of an order to close up their fish hatchery by the Fish and Game Department (who even locked up their gate which was shortly thereafter broken) Note: To learn more, do a search engine on Leavitt and whirling fish disease.
When Leavitt first became governor of Utah in 1993, he fired all the F&GD employees who shut down his hatchery and transferred its jurisdiction over to his brother Mark Leavitt whom he (newly)appointed head of the state's Department of Agriculture. He never did pay the DF&G's fine of some $35,000. As a result, it has cost a lot of money to try to clean the whirling fish disease from all the lakes and streams which became contaminated as a result of just one of Leavitt's "contaminating enviromental habits." His excuse was that he had "quit claimed out of his family's Loa fish hatchery--so it was no longer his problem."
Leavitt has NOW been appointed by Bush to be the head of the powerful Health and Human Services (HHS) which has its fingers in many pies. In this position, Leavitt has taken control of Medicaid and Medicare. Given his past history of pushy tactics and in combo with the CDC and their Model Emergency Health Powers Act (MEHPA) which was enacted in some state legislatures around 2001, with its forced vaccination and/or quarantine enforcement, plus forfeiture of guns and invasion and loss of privacy in their own homes, etc., I believe we are in for big trouble. Leavitt has spent billions of taxpayer dollars for bird flu vaccine in the event of a pandemic--which he believes is really going to happen (does he know something we don't?).
As per a study of Leavitt's past history, (like the nerve gas incinerator and implementing public/private partnerships throughout the legislatures--which is also called fascism)this man does not seem to have a conscience or care about our national sovereignty. He is especially pushing the Medicaid/Medicare Part D (for drugs), which appears to be mainly for padding the pharmaceutical pockets.
Some say the GOP stands for "get old people." We all know that pharmaceutical drugs can be very dangerous with their many side effects, and every effort should be made to cure a health problem naturally FIRST.
He even tried to set up the "cashless society" but couldn't because of a moratorium that was in place. And he once stated that he "liked making an impact on the world."
Truly this man is dangerous and we need to keep our eyes on him and pay attention to what he is doing and thwart him at all times!!

After watching the video that went with the above link i had to ask, do the puppets of the press really believe what they are assisting the government to do or are they simply running scared? Careful with that one, 1930's Germany also resorted to a system of barter to deal with elites control of money. Here is my belief:
1) barter should always be allowed in any free system.
2) fed reserve should be abolished in return for pre 1913 money with backing of collateral (replace the gold that has been stolen from fort knox?).
3) This money should be economically prohibitive to counterfeit and should also be impossible to trace. People should be able to spend money without any tracking systems, free society.
4) national sovereignty is stregthened by national money. I think all countries including european countries need to have their own money and their own borders.

The director of international economics at the Council on Foreign Relations has launched a scathing attack on sovereignty and national currencies.
Benn Steil, writing in the current issue of CFR's influential Foreign Affairs magazine, says "the world needs to abandon unwanted currencies, replacing them with dollars, euros, and multinational currencies as yet unborn." In the article, "The End of National Currency," Steil clearly asserts the dollar and the euro are temporary currencies, perhaps necessary today. He argues "economic development outside the process of globalization is no longer possible."
His inevitable conclusion is "countries should abandon monetary nationalism." Steil tempers his embrace of one world currency, writing, "Governments should replace national currencies with the dollar or the euro or, in the case of Asia, collaborate to produce a new multinational currency over a comparably large and economically diversified area."
He concludes: "It is the market that made the dollar into global money – and what the market giveth, the market can taketh away. If the tailors balk and the dollar falls, the market may privatize money on its own." The "tailors" Steil has in mind are the world's central bankers. He advises that the U.S. needs "to perpetuate the sound money policies of former Federal Reserve chairmen Paul Volker and Alan Greenspan and return to long-term fiscal discipline." In our current era of large and growing trade imbalances and over $35 trillion in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) accounted federal deficits, these targets appear unlikely.
Steil concludes "the foreign tailors, with their massive and growing holdings of dollar debt" no longer feel "wealthy and secure" in the economic environment of a resultant falling dollar. The inevitable conclusion is that the dollar, too, may be on the way out. Steil's essay is antagonistic to the ideas of sovereignty and national currencies.
He writes, "The right course is not to return to a mythical past of monetary sovereignty, with governments controlling local interest and exchange rates in blissful ignorance of the rest of the world. Governments must let go of the fatal notion that nationhood requires them to make and control the money used in their territory." Steil has ultimate confidence that economic globalism is irreversible, with national currencies doomed to the dustbin of history.
"In order to globalize safely," he advises, "countries should abandon monetary nationalism and abolish unwanted currencies, the source of much of today's instability." Steil believes continued economic growth demands a global flow of capital unimpeded by the barriers inherent to "monetary nationalism." He asserts barriers created by monetary nationalism, such as national exchange rates or national monetary policy regimes, inevitably impede capital flow and cause currency crises as a consequence.
Steil fundamentally argues, "Monetary nationalism is simply incompatible with globalism." Since Steil believes that only globalism offers the unrestrained flow of capital needed for worldwide economic development, he contends even re-establishing a gold standard would be counter-productive when the only real solution is to abandon the idea that nations have any reason to create currencies at all.
Throughout his analysis, Steil cautions that dependence upon the dollar or the euro as global currencies is not fundamental to his argument. He stresses that "the dollar's privileged status as today's global money is not heaven-bestowed. The dollar is ultimately just another money supported only by faith that others will willingly accept it in the future in return for the same sort of valuable things it bought in the past."
In other words, if the institutions of the U.S. government fail to validate that faith, the dollar, too, merits being abandoned. "Reckless U.S. fiscal policy is undermining the dollar's position even as the currency's role as a global money is expanding," he notes.
Steil imagines the ultimate solution is to privatize a global currency through a gold-based international monetary system. "A new gold-based international monetary system surely sounds far-fetched," he concludes. "But so, in 1900 did a monetary system without gold. Modern technology makes a revival of gold money, through private gold banks, possible even without government support."
WND previously reported Steve Previs, a vice president at Jeffries International Ltd., in London, told CNBC Nov. 27, 2006, the amero "is the proposed new currency for the North American Community which is being developed right now between Canada, the U.S., and Mexico." On Tuesday, without note in the U.S. media, more than half of the members of Iraq's parliament rejected the continuing occupation of their country. 144 lawmakers signed onto a legislative petition calling on the United States to set a timetable for withdrawal, according to Nassar Al-Rubaie, a spokesman for the Al Sadr movement, the nationalist Shia group that sponsored the petition.
It's a hugely significant development. Lawmakers demanding an end to the occupation now have the upper hand in the Iraqi legislature for the first time; previous attempts at a similar resolution fell just short of the 138 votes needed to pass (there are 275 members of the Iraqi parliament, but many have fled the country's civil conflict, and at times it's been difficult to arrive at a quorum).
Reached by phone in Baghdad on Tuesday, Al-Rubaie said that he would present the petition, which is nonbinding, to the speaker of the Iraqi parliament and demand that a binding measure be put to a vote. Under Iraqi law, the speaker must present a resolution that's called for by a majority of lawmakers, but there are significant loopholes and what will happen next is unclear.
What is clear is that while the U.S. Congress dickers over timelines and benchmarks, Baghdad faces a major political showdown of its own. The major schism in Iraqi politics is not between Sunni and Shia or supporters of the Iraqi government and "anti-government forces," nor is it a clash of "moderates" against "radicals"; the defining battle for Iraq at the political level today is between nationalists trying to hold the Iraqi state together and separatists backed, so far, by the United States and Britain.
The continuing occupation of Iraq and the allocation of Iraq's resources -- especially its massive oil and natural gas deposits -- are the defining issues that now separate an increasingly restless bloc of nationalists in the Iraqi parliament from the administration of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, whose government is dominated by Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish separatists.
By "separatists," we mean groups who oppose a unified Iraq with a strong central government; key figures like Maliki of the Dawa party, Shia leader Abdul Aziz Al-Hakeem of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq ("SCIRI"), Vice President Tariq Al-Hashimi of the Sunni Islamic Party, President Jalal Talabani -- a Kurd -- and Masoud Barzani, president of the Kurdish Autonomous Region, favor partitioning Iraq into three autonomous regions with strong local governments and a weak central administration in Baghdad. (The partition plan is also favored by several congressional Democrats, notably Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware.)
Iraq's separatists also oppose setting a timetable for ending the U.S. occupation, preferring the addition of more American troops to secure their regime. They favor privatizing Iraq's oil and gas and decentralizing petroleum operations and revenue distribution.
But public opinion is squarely with Iraq's nationalists. According to a poll by the University of Maryland's Project on International Public Policy Attitudes, majorities of all three of Iraq's major ethno-sectarian groups support a unified Iraq with a strong central government. For at least two years, poll after poll has shown that large majorities of Iraqis of all ethnicities and sects want the United States to set a timeline for withdrawal, even though (in the case of Baghdad residents), they expect the security situation to deteriorate in the short term as a result.
That's nationalism, and it remains the central if unreported motivation for many Iraqis, both within the nascent government and on the streets.
While sectarian fighting at the neighborhood and community level has made life unlivable for millions of Iraqis, Iraqi nationalism -- portrayed as a fiction by supporters of the invasion -- supercedes sectarian loyalties at the political level. Much like the Rockefeller family, the House of Windsor rules in secret and utilize front men like Tony Blair to implement policy and absorb the brunt of public anger.
It was sickening watching President Bush refer to Queen Elizabeth II as her majesty and Prince Phillip as his royal highness. At least Bush didn’t entirely bow down to her majesty slipping up in his speech saying that the Queen helped celebrate the nation's bicentennial in 1776. Queen Elizabeth II was not amused by the slip up because she is an elitist piece of garbage. These people should be referred to as royal Nazi trash and deported from the country immediately. The United States of America is supposed to be a free country and the idea of a royal lineage is in direct conflict with freedom. Even more disgusting was watching a CNN news piece lecturing us on appropriate protocol when dealing with the Queen. Royal families and elites have established these anal protocols only as a mechanism of control. Military institutions also establish protocol like this so people don’t question orders. It is nothing more than social engineering, training people to be enslaved.

The news story at this link shows very clearly how the press and the government using the press is brainwashing the citizens of this country. It also shows how the move to use the justice system and the mental health system to discredit and to oppress people is not only going strong but is working. When a person is arrested in this country it is now assumed by the public they must be guilty otherwise they would not have been arrested at all. This is wholly untrue. There have been many cases especially recently where innocent persons were found to be in prison. One recent case was for the rape and murder of a woman 20 years ago. For 20 years there was nothing but circumstantial evidence that convicted a man of this crime. With every appeal reasons were found that kept him in prison even though each appeal clearly showed that his trial was both unfair and that the DA's office hid facts. Finally, due to the fact that for 10 years they KNEW his DNA WAS NOT A MATCH to the DNA found on and in the victim, but that was not enough to get him a new trial, but after 10 more years the actual rapist and killer was not only found in prison, but in fact confessed and said that the person convicted that had spent 20 years in prison was not in any way involved. But even faced with this showing that this man had absolutely nothing to do with the crime the mother of the victim came to the hearing to release this man and actually FOUGHT it. She said a great injustice was being done to her daughter by releasing this man from prison. THE MAN WAS INNOCENT! Now one might ask why a mother would want an innocent man to remain in prison? Well that answer comes in several parts. One- when the police arrest someone for a crime they set about to "convince" the family of the victim that they have the person responsible. Two- the public has been brainwashed to believe that everyone who gets arrested must therefore be guilty of something or they would never have been arrested. Three- if a person id found guilty at a trial then the public says "good another criminal pays for his crime" if that person is found not guilty at trial, no matter the reason the public says "he's guilty he just got off on a technicality" so reguardless of the outcome, a person is in fact as far as the public is concerned guilty period. There is no longer a question of innocence. Plus you add to this that even when the DA's office knows someone is not guilty of a crime they continue to prosecute and when the truth does come out later they continue to fight to keep someone innocent in prison. We must all ask ourselves one question: at what point did our justice system become about CONVICT instead of truth? It is that way because many of our politicians used to be prosecutors or in some aspect of law enforcement and they use their "record" to gain election. It is only by brainwashing the public that they can acheive this. Plus they know that until these ways cause an effect within your own family you won't look at what is being done. The story in the link at the beginning of this was about a business owner refusing service to OJ and being "applauded for it" The fact is that guilty or not he was found to be NOT GUILTY at his trial. Our justice system was not set up to cause someone to be outcast simply because they were tried or even arrested for a crime. So OJ Guilty or Not is being put through hell anyway. It does not matter if one believes him guilty or not because by doing this to him shows that the public is in fact being brainwashed effectively and also shows that further brainwashing will enable the Government to rid us of our liberties easily and totally. Why are so many falling into the traps set by those who seek to dominate rather than to govern?
Another good point to make here is that when Prisoners from the Iraq war were being mistreated, and it was wrong to mistreat any human being, but the American public was outraged about it. And we were being told that these people were at least partially responsible for 911, yet people were outraged by the mistreatment. Yet these same people seem not to care that Americans are mistreated daily within our own prisons, they justify not caring by saying " well they are criminals" this is not a justification for the mistreatment of anyone. Lets put it this way. If your brother, father, or son were to be covicted of a felony for a crime of any type, would you think it was ok for them to be mistreated and tortured? But yet we as a people do not care that it happens, and again this is exactly what the government wants us to do. They also want us to never let the past for a covicted felon be forgatten. They want these people denied jobs and homes and liberty for life. That way they will be left no other choice but to commit crimes to survive, and then they go back to prison. This shows that they "cannot be rehabilitated" and gives them the ammo they need to make more laws to deprive us of our rights and liberties. See the trap and don't fall into it.

Voters trying to sort out their presidential choices aren't helped by debates cluttered with the likes of Mike Gravel (hint: he's a former senator from Alaska) on the Democratic side and Ron Paul (hint: he's a libertarian House member from Texas) among the Republicans. If the standard is that any declared candidate is entitled to a podium, we're going to end up with even more crowded stages in 2012.
One possibility would be to allow viewers to vote off one candidate after each debate; it seems to work well for other TV programs. But there may a better way to improve the debate system, though this would need to be done carefully and slowly. For starters, as this process continues, debate organizers ought to think about using various tests to narrow the fields. Has a candidate demonstrated any indicia of viability or seriousness: standing in the polls, ability to raise money, trips to the state where the debate is taking place? When Mr. Gravel says he's not running to win, that ought to be grounds enough to toss him out. Yes, at this early stage, poll standing alone isn't enough to exclude a candidate; some serious, experienced candidates are mired in the single digits, and they ought to be given their chance to catch fire. But as the process moves forward, the bar for inclusion should move higher.
Another solution to a still-crowded field would be to structure the debates more usefully to assess the quality of candidates' thinking. Would it be too much to ask for 90-second answers? Or for a format in which candidates could question each other? The best would be to give sustained attention to a single topic, or at most a few areas. Why not one debate on economic issues such as taxes, spending and trade, another on Iraq and foreign policy, more on domestic issues such as health care, education, the environment and immigration? Even if debates aren't this rigorously formatted, certainly they could benefit from more focus on a few topics, rather than Thursday's attention-deficit-disorder-style debate, which skipped from belief in evolution (three candidates didn't) to organ donation to I. Lewis Libby.
It can be argued that debates will be more important than ever this election, with its compressed and nationalized primary calendar. It's in everyone's interest to rethink how they are conducted.

You have a point, but look at it this way: all the money in all the world can't fight an army of millions.
The people who own power know this, that is why they are scared. Some of them have absolute power, which has been corrupted absolutely and they know that it is a only a matter of time before their actions are brought into the limelight.
There will always be people who don't care..recently, the company I work for sacked lots of people - why? So it could bring in Asian immigrants who are unskilled and do not have the necessary qualifications. The company did this because it gets tax breaks and other incentives, and it even assisted in living expenses.
There was no payoff for current staff, not notice - just wham: you're fired. Ironically our track record was untouchable, but it didn't matter one dime to those sitting in the boardroom, who are only interested in looking after their own back.
Two months on and the company is getting worse. They gave managerial positions to people who are not cut out to manage but again, do they care? Nope. They use the fallacy of cutting costs in order to look after their own interests even if it means running companies into the ground, layoffs, 'restructuring' or denying their own citizens adequate training/career progression.
To add insult this company is now resorting to going over to India and head-hunting even more 'graduates' with absolutely no relevant experience in their field. This is being done when there are people on their own doorstep who know the systems they are working on inside-out. Talk about breeding resentment..
Oh, and our guys get no help with bringing family members over here, or rearing kids, or health care. We get nothing. Despite living expenses we are given no choice but to take sweatshop jobs for sweatshop wages, because you see our face doesn't fit - our ideals don't fit in with a globalist policy - we're too objectionable when it comes to our rights.
Just look at the society this is turning us into. We are about to be invaded by Mexico, we work for corporations that have control over our government, corporations that can hire and fire at the drop of hat. We have next to no investment in our own infrastructure in order to service our own needs.

Ron Paul and the manner in which ABC is downplaying his support (funny how ABC dimisses the web interest in Ron Paul but fails to realise the capacity of its own propoganda machine!).
'Maybe Ron's policies should be the focus of attention, not the amount of web traffic other people are able to create - I am sure Ron Paul would agree on this. I am also sure there is a possibility that beyond this traffic people are actually interested in what Ron Paul says and not dealing with the entities who set out to use the same system in order to create negative propaganda.
Unfortunately in the age of a tech- savy media, one has to play the media game especially since that media has such a large influence over the mind set of Joe Public - we have to look beyond the facade that gets people on the political stage and towards what they actually propose in order to keep this country safe, secure and proud.
Having read Ron Paul's manifesto, I have come to the conclusion that the man fulfils all such criteria..the same cannot be said for the current leadership, in my opinion.'

I am not sure if it is brains. I have been looking into the parallels between 1930's Germany and 2000's USA. In both settings there is a huge amount of mass mind manipulation. Everyone sees little signs of it here and there, but it is so systematic and deliberate, there can only be a few strings controlling all of it.

Do you remember the game called Twister? Do you remember that arrow that you would spin when it was your turn? Do you remember that the arrow would land on a color and you would have to put your hand or foot on a colored dot on a mat that matched the color? Well, the Bush/Cheney gang are so corrupt and are involved in so many scandals that we can make one of those little spinning arrow charts and use it to select one of the multiple reasons to impeach or incarcerate Bush, Cheney and members of their crime syndicate.
But I have an easier solution. While I personally favor criminal proceedings for the Bush cabal for a number of things ranging from conducting an electoral coup on our nation to complicity in the events of 9/11 (or at the very very least incompetence…but the evidence points to complicity), I think it would be easier to simply have the entire Bush presidency annulled! You see all you have to do is examine the evidence of election fraud that took place during the last two presidential elections and you will see that Bush was never elected. So we don’t really need to impeach him….we just have to inform him of the mistake and tell him to leave…immediately!
I don’t get it, this whole nation has their collective heads in buried in the sand. Reality is simply not part of the average American’s daily life. Bush was never elected to the presidency! Not once! Why do we keep pretending that he was? Arrests have been made. People have been sent to prison for election fraud. Yet for some reason the American public can not connect the one dot that is required to understand that when people are convicted of election fraud, election fraud took place! They used nonviolent means to do so but they did so none the less. We are living under a coup. So instead of waiting for cronies to police themselves and conduct impeachment or criminal hearings let’s just take a moment to step into the reality based world. We don’t need to impeach Bush because he is not the president. We simply have to enforce the laws of the land. He was not elected. Crimes were committed in order to make it appear that he was. Once Bush is out we can arrest Bush for impersonating a US president, trespassing, every kind of fraud imaginable, 9/11, etc. But until then we should simply tell him to to vacate the White House because he is not now and never has been the president! I too am a professional web developer and at first I thought what you thought (iframes etc.). I also had success posting a bulletin supportive of Ron Paul.
HOWEVER when I contacted Matt (who produced the video) he told me it was specifically the link to the MSNBC poll results that triggered the problem.
So I tried to prove him wrong by posting another Ron Paul bulletin that included the following simple link to the MSNBC pole results:

I just tested the myspace "censorship" issue, interestingly enough it worked and I used ron pauls name all over it haha, the reason why it did not work in the video was because he either used javascript, iframes or other code that is not supported by myspace.

NewConstitutionIowaMilitia, I will never recognize fascist rule as legitimate government, unfortunately I found out that I was born into this one. During my youth, my blind ignorance and good faith led me to believe that those in our government had our best interest in mind and heart.
I now realise that human nature allows for psychopaths to exist in all walks of life. From the gangsters in my nieghborhood, to the child molesters in the suburbs to the criminals walking the halls of our government institutions.
The NAU will most likely create a very tense situation very soon as Americans figure out what is happening. The "superhighway" could be a used as a backdoor entry to possible invasion by Mexican nationalist's and enemies from other countries..
The 800 prison camps in the U.S. does have me very worried though. The timing seems to indicate some sort of foreknowledge of something to come.
I sometimes wish I was that young idealistic blissful young boy I used to be. But my grandfather did not come hear from Cuba to see me live under the same type of tyranny he had to live under as a young man and father.

The laws of our country only apply to the peasants, if the police are providing private security, one can come to two conclutions A) Jjudges except bribes B) Elitist are laudering cash since it doesn't make sense for them to even come to the derby to make bets when all they have to do is go to a broker.
