American Medical Association wants implantable RFID chips

Chicago (IL) – Doctors could be implanting RFID chips into your bodies, if the American Medical Association has their way. According to a new report released by the AMA’s Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs, active RFID chips could improve the safety and efficiency of patient care. The chips would be a 21st century version of the famous silvery MedicAlert bracelets worn by millions of people.
Doctor Robert Sade authored the report titled “Radio Frequency ID Devices in Humans” and says the tiny rice grain-sized chips could be safely implanted with a needle. The active tags would contain an internal battery and be updated with medical information. So far passive tags, the kind that don’t have batteries, are the only RFID devices that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
Sade contends that RFID tags could help emergency room doctors by quickly providing medical and drug usage information, something that would be incredibly valuable if the patient was knocked unconscious or unable to speak.
But Sade also talks about several drawbacks including privacy and health concerns. The small tags could migrate to other parts of the body, but that could be stopped by using materials that would cause the body to encase the tags in tissue, effectively freezing them in place. The tags could also interfere or even be destroyed by defibrillators – the machines that shoot electricity into the body in an attempt to shock a heart back into rhythm.
Privacy is of course the biggest concern as people would theoretically be able to scan a patient’s information from several feet away. Sade says in the report, “At this time, the security of RFID devices has not been fully established. Physicians, therefore, cannot assure patients that the personal information contained on RFID tags will be appropriately protected.”

Officials in the Iraqi Interior Ministry said today that initial investigations into the Mansur hotel bombing – which caused the death of six tribal leaders and sheikhs – have revealed that the attack was perpetrated by a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt... (the investigation also revealed that) there was a “major deficiency” in the security measures, which caused the bombing to occur.
General Jihad al-Jabiri, the general director in charge of combating bombings in the Interior Ministry, said in a press conference that was held in Baghdad today that the committee formed by the ministry to investigate the details of the attack “has concluded, after examining the evidence of the bombing that a terrorist exploded a belt containing 12 Kilograms of TNT ... containing dozens of spherical shrapnel and small munitions.”
(The General) added that the committee reached these conclusions “with the help of accurate scientific evidence ... and by using modern equipment that we received recently from the United States.”
Al-Jabiri denied that the bombing may have been caused by an explosive device (planted in the lobby), and said that “all available evidence does not point to the possibility of an explosive charge ... when I visited the area of the bombing ... there was no hole in the ground ... scientifically, there is no other explanation for how the bombing could have occurred.” Al-Jabiri indicated that “the waves of the explosion were at the height of over one meter, which is the height of the explosive belt worn by the terrorist.”
In the same conference, General 'Abd al-Kareem Khalaf – an interior ministry spokesman – said that among the victims were “tribal Sheikhs from the South, and some important state personalities ... including the advisor to the Minister of Defense” Whom Khalaf did not name.
Khalaf also said that the Interior Ministry and the Iraqi Judiciary have issued orders “to arrest the entire cadre responsible for security (in the hotel), including the Iraqis working with the British company (SBS)” that was responsible for providing security to the hotel.
He added “the ministry has decided to bar (the company’s) license and ban it from pursuing its work ... and halt its activities ... that is because the investigators found major deficiencies in the (company’s) performance.”
General Khalaf pointed in the conference that there are three approaches to the hotel “one of which overlooks the Tigris ... which was the British company’s responsibility, and which was used for the entry of VIP hotel guests and high-level state personalities and the hotel employees.”
He added “all these people were not searched at all, due to the deficient performance of those in charge of securing the entrance ... which leads to the occurrence of such a breach.”
The Interior Ministry spokesman said that the investigating committee has also “reached conclusions that are almost complete, regarding the suicide bomber’s actions ... and the way through which he reached the site,” pointing that the committee “needs no more than some legal procedures to arrest some individuals who strongly stood out (as suspects) in the depositions of the witnesses, and after examining the site.”
He added “the committee is in the process of completing the legal procedures to submit them for interrogation ... and, then, turn them to the Iraqi judiciary.”

Anyway I am probably way off your outlook on 1 and 2. 1 is less of a priority for me than 2. I will get to 2 later.
As far as 3, AJ is not a politician, manager, logistical coordinator, etc. AJ is a revolutionary patriotic pioneer in communications. I would trust his input in who is qualified for this role, as I trust his judgement on who is qualified to be president.

I'm sorry to keep posting message about this nuisance and will make this my last. This site (Sigmacast), has been fined at the last count, around $180,000 in total. This is not a joke, this is affecting lots of people and I posted it here because those people have received no help.
If you are blighted by this factory - make sure they pay you for the years of living hell they have *knowingly* put you through. When the truth gets out about the extent of illness (both mental and psychical), these bastards have caused the local community the proverbial will hit the fan. It will be an exclusive.

‘Call for Action’ as Local Residents Fight Nuisance from Foundry
Campaigners against the controversial Sigmacast Foundry in Tipton have set up an Action Group, with the support of leading environmental lawyers, Hugh James, in their fight against the offensive smells, dust and noise coming from the foundry.
Hugh James Solicitors is supporting local residents who have had their lives blighted by the odours, dust and noise coming from the foundry in Upper Church Lane, Tipton, West Midlands.
The Local Authority, Sandwell Metropolitan Council has received countless complaints from local residents in relation to the problems, which have been a nuisance for a number of years.
Since 2004 Sigmacast Iron Limited who operate the foundry have been prosecuted on 6 occasions in relation to the problems with dust and noise from the foundry resulting in fines of over £90,000.
Mr Kinsey, local resident said: "The odour dust and noise has been a regular source of nuisance, such that we could not open our windows and enjoy our gardens. Also the corrosive dust particles that come from the foundry have damaged the paint work on my car. In a modern society clearly this is unacceptable.
Hugh James Solicitors are specialist environmental lawyers and we are grateful for their support in setting up an Action Group to give a central voice to our campaign to stop the problems."
Gwen Evans, Solicitor at Hugh James, said: "We are well aware of the blight on people’s lives caused by sites such as this emitting unpleasant odours dust and noise and how distressing this can be for local residents particularly so in cases where the nuisance has been ongoing for a number of years.
Residents are now mounting a legal case to seek an injunction to put a stop to these problems to ensure they do not occur in future and to seek compensation for the nuisance they have experienced in the past."

On the 22nd March 1992 Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council authorised Triplex Foundry Limited to carry on an iron foundry process at the site. Triplex Foundry later became known as the Sigmacast Foundry.
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has brought several prosecutions relation to issues of both noise and fall out and dust from the site as follows:
19TH of July 2004 - West Bromwich Magistrates Courts s.6(1) and s.23 Environmental Protection Act 1990 (breach of authorisation to operate an iron Foundry) fined £15,000 for first offence no separate penalty for other offences.
22nd of November 2004 - West Bromwich Magistrates court s.80 (4) 6 EPA (Breach of Abatement Notice) £2,500 per offence (two offences)
14th of March 2005 - West Bromwich Magistrates Court s.80(4)(6) £4000 per offence (2 offences)
21st of March 2005 - West Bromwich Magistrates Court s.6(1) and s.23 £15000 per offence (3 offences)
18th of November 2005 - West Bromwich Magistrates Court s.6(1) and s.23 £20.000
6th of June 2006 - s.60(4)(6) of the EPA which Sigmacast Iron Limited entered a guilty plea at West Bromwich Magistrates Court.

The smoking gun of Tunguska, as I remember it, was that there was no impact crater found, but there was an area of trees, in a circle. Everything around this circle of still standing trees was flattened in an outward pattern away from the circle. As if something had exploded above the circle of trees, and sent the release of power from the explosion in a 360 degree pattern, but leaving the trees directly under the blast unharmed.
Also, natives miles away from the blast all contracted radiation poisoning, and most died. All this seems to indicate a possible nuclear bomb. Cause I don't know why an comet or asteroid would suddenly explode a half mile above the earth, right before impact.
That was just one fine - it took outside action to find these people guilty and they are still to this DAY, commiting this act. They are still sending fumes into the atmosphere yet despite proof nothing seems to be done about it. They have paid aruond $100,000 in fines and still they are allowed to get away with it.
Some info on the factory in the West Midlands the council said it would deal with but still to this day, appears to completely ignore.
The corporate clients don't like dirt, but it's ok to sling dirt at the residents for years, in the form of despicable, illegal levels of air pollution and noise 24/7. You may wonder why this is allowed to happen in a society supposedly obsessed with stopping people smoking, with ecco-friendliness.

TIPTON FIRM'S FUME FINE
A Tipton foundry firm has been fined the maximum £20,000 with £1,300 legal costs for illegally pumping fumes into the atmosphere.
Sigmacast Iron Ltd, of Upper Church Lane, Tipton, denied the charge but was found guilty after a trial at West Bromwich Magistrates Court today (Fri, Nov 1.
Sigmacast operate a cupola furnace authorised under the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act, 1990.
Fumes from the furnace have sparked numerous complaints by nearby residents and several previous prosecutions.
In July 2003 the company was the subject of a management buyout and assurances were given to Sandwell Council the problems would be rectified.
However, there was no improvement and after lengthy negotiations prosecution was the only course of action left to the local authority.
Magistrates were presented with video evidence of emissions affecting the local community.
It is the third offence committed by Sigmacast in the last 15 months.
Magistrates said any further proceedings would be referred to the Crown Court where sentencing powers are unlimited.
In mitigation Sigmacast said remedial works had been carried out but it was not clear at the time of the hearing whether or not they were wholly satisfactory
Sandwell Council's cabinet member for neighbourhoods, Cllr Mahboob Hussain, said: "The magistrates sent a clear message that such breaches of environmental law would not be tolerated.
"The level of fine was clearly influenced by the fact that the firm had been previously prosecuted for emissions from the cupola furnace plant on the same site.
"We hope this case means residents will not have to put up with the sort of problems they have endured in the past.
"I have asked officers to continue monitoring the situation."

A major report published Wednesday by a Washington, DC-based watchdog shows that the Federal Emergency Management Agency anticipated the destruction that would result from a major hurricane striking New Orleans, yet failed to follow through on its own internal warnings. "FEMA’s disaster planning was based on a set of predictions that proved to be remarkably accurate. In 2000-2001, FEMA looked at a population of New Orleans that was over 1.3 million people and predicted that when a catastrophic hurricane struck, the city would be flooded with 14-17 feet of water. One million people would evacuate and 250-350,000 people would be trapped in the city," according to the report, The Best Laid Plans: The Story of How the Government Ignored Its Own Gulf Coast Hurricane Plans. The report, published by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, is based on 7,500 documents that were released to the group by the Department of Homeland Security in whole or in part. A key documents was the 'Southeast Louisiana Catastrophic Hurricane Plan,' which CREW called "strikingly comprehensive."
"The documents CREW received from its FOIA request reveal failures by FEMA and the federal government at nearly every stage of preparation for and response to Hurricane Katrina," the report notes. "Why, despite longstanding anticipation of a hurricane strike on New Orleans, significant forewarning of Katrina’s imminent landfall, the potential impact on the Gulf Coast, as well as the extensive planning in the days leading up to Katrina’s landfall was the federal response so flawed?" RAW STORY was awaiting comment from FEMA officials at press time on CREW's findings. While the report could not explain precisely why FEMA did not follow its own plan, it did identity several themes that might have undermined the agency's ability to respond to the disaster. Dysfunction at the agency emerged as a key cause of the poor disaster preparation and response. "Documents portray FEMA as an agency plagued with low morale and the federal disaster response structure in general as woefully disorganized," CREW's report states. "Several documents suggest a level of disarray that is alarming. Crater Could Solve 1908 Tunguska Meteor Mystery

In late June of 1908, a fireball exploded above the remote Russian forests of Tunguska, Siberia, flattening more than 800 square miles of trees. Researchers think a meteor was responsible for the devastation, but neither its fragments nor any impact craters have been discovered.
Astronomers have been left to guess whether the object was an asteroid or a comet, and figuring out what it was would allow better modeling of potential future calamities. Italian researchers now think they've found a smoking gun: The 164-foot-deep Lake Cheko, located just 5 miles northwest of the epicenter of destruction. "When we looked at the bottom of the lake, we measured seismic waves reflecting off of something," said Giuseppe Longo, a physicist at the University of Bologna in Italy and co-author of the study. "Nobody has found this before. We can only explain that and the shape of the lake as a low-velocity impact crater." Should the team turn up conclusive evidence of an asteroid or comet on a later expedition, when they obtain a deeper core sample beneath the lake, remaining mysteries surrounding the Tunguska event may be solved.The findings are detailed in this month's online version of the journal Terra Nova.

During a 1999 expedition, Longo's team didn't plan to investigate Lake Cheko as an impact crater, but rather to look for meteoroid dust in its submerged sediments. While sonar-scanning the lake's topography, they were struck by its cone-like features.

Sane. Yeah. Michael Tsarion is a character. And myself, being a Christian, well of course I don't believe everything he says. But I think he means well and is being honest. Which is what mostly matters. He is really knowledgeable about things, and I like listening to his research. Christine Todd Whitman is the media darling of talk shows, the conservative former governor of New Jersey and head of President George W. Bush's Environmental Protection Agency who quit the Bush Administration to "spend more time with her family."
Evidently, that's not true.
In a groundbreaking article today by the Washington Post, the paper alleges that Whitman left the Administration because they pressured her to accept pro-industry coal power plant rules which threatened ghoulish levels of air pollution.
After industry officials complained to Vice President Cheney about Clinton-era rules requiring plants to update their technology when they conducted routine maintenance to comply with air quality standards, Cheney turned to Whitman, she said.
Whitman told the Post she'd "been stunned by what she viewed as an unquestioned belief that EPA's regulations were primarily to blame for keeping companies from building new power plants."
"I was upset, mad, offended that there seemed to be so much head-nodding around the table," she said. She said she had to fight "tooth and nail" to keep Cheney from turning over the rewriting of the rules to the Energy Department.
Whitman says she wanted a return to Bush's "Clear Skies" initiative, but that went nowhere.
Whitman brought two folders to show President Bush. The first was 2 1/2 inches thick, detailing the dangers of raising legal levels of arsenic in drinking water -- another Administration proposal. She pointed to a folder she'd brought "four or five times as thick."
"If you think arsenic was bad," she recalled telling Bush, "look at what has already been written about this."
Nothing changed. After the EPA rewrote the coal power plant standards, the White House essentially rewrote the rules to favor industry. Whitman said she'd had enough.
"I just couldn't sign it," she told the Post. "The president has a right to have an administrator who could defend it, and I just couldn't."
Soon thereafter, a federal appeals court found that the rule change violated the Clean Air Act -- according to the paper, the judges said the administration had redefined the law in a way that could be valid "only in a Humpty-Dumpty world."

The committee wants documents that might shed light on internal squabbles within the administration over the legality of the program, said a congressional official speaking on condition of anonymity because the subpoenas had not been made public.
Leahy's committee authorized the subpoenas previously as part of its sweeping investigation into how much influence the White House exerts over the Justice Department and its chief, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
The probe, in its sixth month, began with an investigation into whether administration officials ordered the firings of eight federal prosecutors, for political reasons.
But with senators of both parties already concerned about the constitutionality of the administration's efforts to root out terrorism suspects in the United States, the committee shifted to the broader question of Gonzales' stewardship of Justice and, in particular, his willingness to permit the wiretapping program.
Piquing the committee's interest was vivid testimony last month by former Deputy Attorney General James Comey about the extent of the White House's effort to override the Justice Department's objections to the program in 2004.
Comey told the Judiciary Committee that Gonzales, then-White House counsel, tried to get Attorney General John Ashcroft to reverse course and recertify the program. At the time, Ashcroft lay in intensive care, recovering form gall bladder surgery.

The government is using paperwork errors as small as the abbreviation of a city name to shut down some of the nation's longest-serving gun shops, and 2nd Amendment advocates fear the right to bear arms will mean little if there's no way to obtain a gun.
"No good deed goes unpunished," Larry Pratt, of Gun Owners of America, told WND while confirming that as recently as 15 or 20 years ago, there were 250,000 licensed gun dealers in the United States.
Today, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told WND, there are 108,381, and if more cases involving dealers such as Red's Trading Post of Twin Falls, Idaho, develop, that number will plummet quickly.
Ryan Horsley, a spokesman for Red's, which has been in business 71 years, said the store has been battling over its license because of rules infractions such as a missing poster for more than six years.
He's launched an online petition asking Congress to intervene and halt the "blatant targeting of law abiding dealers." It also seeks a "fair, constitutional and speedy appeals process" and has attracted thousands of signatures.
His company also has a federal lawsuit pending against the ATF over its announcement that Red's firearms dealership license was being withdrawn.
Attorney Mark Geston said the case asks the court to review the statute and the "propriety" of the decision that was made.
Horsley said the reason Red's is facing a revocation is – at most – insignificant paperwork mistakes.
"Imagine having your driver's license revoked because you did not completely spell out the word 'no' when answering a 'yes' or 'no' question on your application five years ago," his petition asks.
He told WND the inspectors begin with efforts to locate any petty violation they can, usually clerical mistakes. "They list these errors as 'willful' which Congress set in the wording to protect FFL dealers," he said. "The dealer's Federal Firearms License is then revoked and the dealer must enter an appeals process which is extremely unfair."
He said essentially the appeal of a ATF decision goes directly to the people who originally made the decision.
"This is the equivalent of being in court and having the prosecuting attorney act as an adviser to the judge," Horsley said. The result forces the business, if owners want to continue operating, to sue in federal court.
Pratt told WND, "the power that has enabled ATF to take away people's licenses to do business" continues unabated.
Pratt said many gun dealers were closed down when Congress allowed local municipalities to recommend denial depending upon the location of the gun dealership.
And he noted a family gun business that had been operation in Baltimore, Md., for years was attacked because of the "wanton, repeated crime" of abbreviating Baltimore as "Blto" on the "teeny, tiny spaces on the forms provided by the teeny, tiny little minds."
The agency holds, he said, a "continuing animas against gun owners and dealers."

As a real European guy, since 1970 around I wonder if my hypothesis is right or far from truth.
My hypothesis: The US needs at least two or three wars per year in order to let the cycle of production and consumption of war material get around. You can imagine any hugh factory of cars investing money in production, improving quality and standard, research and development, employing thousands of workers and scientists without selling even ONE car ??!
Equally, the whole apparatus of the CIA and the militar units inclusively the entire system of SDI and other war/ attack market wouldn't exist or at least improve without all the affords the US makes in order to bring DEMOCRACY and PEACE to all nations of the planet !!!
