I think the public is ready to hear this. There is no excuse good enough for secrecy in the government. If the American people do not know what the truth is, than how can we vote accurately?
We have enough nuclear capability to blow up the whole world, and so secrecy just isn't necessary. And secrecy is strong indication of foul play. It's high time, and America is ready, to face the truth. Whatever that may be. It's called "responsibility".
Also, in order to make the voting system verifiable and accurate, everyones votes, with their names, addresses, and phone numbers should be posted on the World Wide Web. Ron Paul may actually win, but they will manipulate the votes in the Diebold machines and we all damn well know it. And so by not addressing these problems, we are merely wishful thinkers, and not going the distance it will take to rectify this puppet show debacle.
All the supporting Ron Paul, the campaigning, and even your vote will be useless, unless we force the government to make the votes mandatory public record- NO MORE SECRECY.

I saw that video of the robo-cop beating up the skateboarder. I didn't seen any other footage which may have contributed to his actions - it was a stupid thing to do and I would not take this so seriously had it not been happening on an unprecedented scale.
I no longer have much respect for authority and that was drilled into me long before I came to this site, or heard about Alex Jones and Ron Paul. I see an information society at complete odds with a home-grown dictatorship and it really is frightening to watch..it's very sad to see adults cower in fear at an authority that is, at the end of the day, accountable only to itself.

[b]Bank of International Settlements: Credit Boom May Spark Depression[/b]
The Bank of International Settlements (BIS) is warning that the global economy could be on the brink of a major depression similar to the one that occurred in the 1930s.
The BIS said that years of loose monetary policy have fueled a dangerous credit bubble leaving the global economy more vulnerable to an economic catastrophe than is generally understood.
In its 77th Annual Report for the financial year April 1, 2006-March 31, 2007 that was submitted to the BIS annual general meeting held in Basel on June 24, the BIS which one source described as "the ultimate bank of central bankers" noted that the Great Depression that began in 1929 caught many off guard and unprepared.
"Virtually nobody foresaw the Great Depression of the 1930s, or the crises which affected Japan and southeast Asia in the early and late 1990s. In fact, each downturn was preceded by a period of non-inflationary growth exuberant enough to lead many commentators to suggest that a 'new era' had arrived," said the bank.
Several worrying signs, including mass issuance of new types of credit instruments, soaring levels of household debt, extreme appetite for risk shown by investors and entrenched imbalances in the world currency system, have all made the Bank wary the global economy is at serious risk.
The BIS pointed to China as a possible spark that could cause a sudden global downturn.
The BIS said "China may have repeated the disastrous errors made by Japan in the 1980s when Tokyo let rip with excess liquidity." "The Chinese economy seems to be demonstrating very similar, disquieting symptoms," the BIS claimed, noting China's credit and asset boom.

The Bank described China's booming economy as "unstable, unbalanced, uncoordinated and unsustainable" a comment apparently made by Chinese premier Wen Jiabao.
The BIS also took a swipe at the U.S. Federal Reserve, noting that the central bank was rethinking the easy credit policies of former Fed chief Alan Greenspan.
The BIS was not sanguine about the dollar, citing America's huge trade and deficit imbalances with U.S. external liabilities growing to over $4 trillion from 2001 to 2005.
"The dollar clearly remains vulnerable to a sudden loss of private sector confidence," the BIS report stated.
Worrisome too is the bubble created by private equity deals and hedge fund activity.
"Sooner or later the credit cycle will turn and default rates will begin to rise," the BIS said.
"The levels of leverage employed in private equity transactions have raised questions about their longer-term sustainability. The strategy depends on the availability of cheap funding,"
The warnings of the BIS should not come as a surprise to readers of MoneyNews.com. While we are not predicting a 1930's style depression, we have warned that a global credit boom has put that global economy in jeopardy.

DOD seeks builder for shape-shifting military robot Looks for technology to become battlefield weapon
June 25, 2007 (Computerworld) -- Creative scientists have until next week to submit proposals for creating a shape-shifting military robot that can shrink and then reconfigure itself to normal height and shape.
The description of the robot, at a high level, is somewhat reminiscent of the villainous liquid-state cyborg of the sci-fi movie Terminator 2 -- except that this robot would be dispatched to save lives on the battlefield. The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is accepting proposals for building the so-called Chemical Robot (ChemBot) from researchers until July 2.
According to the Department of Defense unit's request for proposals, potential developers should avoid using hard materials that can't "rapidly traverse arbitrary size/shape openings whose dimensions are much smaller than the robot itself and are not known a-priori."
The RFP suggests using technologies like gels, thickening fluids and shape memory materials that can return to an original shape after completing a mission. DARPA acknowledges that some technologies may still be in the research labs of submitters.
Ultimately, the agency said it hopes the ChemBot can provide "the ability to safely and covertly gain access to denied or hostile areas and perform useful tasks," and provide help to soldiers "over a broad spectrum of military operations."
DARPA describes ChemBot as a soft and flexible device that can squeeze through apertures and then reassemble to do its job. The agency is looking for the ChemBots to be capable of traveling distances, transforming in all three dimensions and carrying their own power source.
DARPA dictates that the ChemBot have tactile sensing capability and a backbone or skeleton that can also dissolve or morph shape, and be either autonomously or remotely controlled. Taking a cue from the animal kingdom, DARPA suggests that the ChemBot have elastic materials capable of twisting, crumpling or bending like an octopus or insect.
Legal Memo Confirms White House Led Effort To Target And Remove U.S. Attorneys

Today, White House counsel Fred Fielding released a letter informing Congress that President Bush will assert executive privilege over White House documents relating to the firing of U.S. attorneys. Fielding attached a legal memorandum written by Solicitor General Paul Clement, laying out the legal basis for the executive privilege claim.
Clement reviewed the documents that the Congress subpoenaed. In his letter, Clement reveals what investigators have suspected from the very beginning — that the White House was intimately involved in the attorney scandal. Upon examination of the White House documents, Clement writes:
Among other things, these communications discuss the wisdom of such a proposal, specific U.S. Attorneys who could be removed, potential replacement candidates, and possible responses to congressional and media inquiries about the dismissals.
The White House had “said that Mr. Bush’s aides approved the list of prosecutors only after it was compiled.” President Bush himself said that “the Justice Department made recommendations, which the White House accepted” regarding the removal of the attorneys.
On a related point, Marcy Wheeler writes that it is a serious conflict of interest for Clement to be advising Bush to assert executive privilege in the very same scandal that Clement is supposed to be investigating.
Paul Clement, as you’ll recall, is the guy currently in charge of any investigation into the US Attorney firings, since Alberto Gonzales recused himself some months ago. He’s the one who technically oversees the Office of Special Counsel investigation into whether politics played an improper part in Iglesias’ firing or the hiring of career employees in DOJ, he’s the one who oversees the joint Office of Professional Responsibility and Inspector General investigations into whether anything improper–including obstruction of justice–occurred in the hiring and firing of USAs. And now, he’s the guy who gets to tell the President that he doesn’t have to turn over what might amount to evidence of obstruction of justice in the Foggo and Wilkes case, among others.
Clement’s letter reveals the White House was deeply involved in selectively targeting attorneys for removal. These documents presumably reveal the motives of the White House in purging the U.S. attorneys. Now Clement is working to ensure those documents never become public.

I have come to learn the masses are not up to the task of knowing what is happening to them. What is being perpentrated on the lower class is purely inhuman, but after hearing about the pentagon papers and all the other evl operations that have gone on since ww2, I can only conclude this people have no soul. We could have been wiped out more easily, however these social paths seem to want to evaluate human behavior as if to document something that will never be in existance again.
