That doesn't mean the attack cannot be stopped. How to do so? By not giving Cheney/Bush the remainder of their term. If 54% want Cheney impeached, he should be impeached. NOW, before he's allowed to further terrorize the world. Cheney impeachment hearings will weaken Bush and increase the percentage of Americans (now 45%) favoring the president's own impeachment. All that is required here is political will in a Congress that has seen its approval rating plummet due largely to its failure to stop the administration's war. Those wishing to reverse that have an easy option: vote to impeach. And while you're at it, vote to insist on Congress's exclusive power according to the Constitution to declare war.

To FCIT -- What an extremely interesting collection of papers. My goodness they seem to date from the beginning of our Constitution.
Although impressive, it is way too lengthy for me to even begin trying to understand the contents -- at 218 paper. Is there some definite page we should all be aware of (not saying the entire document is less than important -- but it is lengthy you will surely agree). Perhaps some extract you might provide for our easy understanding. But again thanks, I'm keeping a copy of this.

Yes it is a long read for sure. It will "FOUNDATION" anyone who is serious about understanding what
the TROJAN HORSE is however. There is really no "ONE" page that say's it all. The truth movement
suffers at times from a lack of concise and irrefutable evidence which can be read through the eyes and understood with the mind and proven with a Blacks Law dictionary etc. This is where video is lacking IMHO. Of course it is rare to find average citizens who will devote the required time to read and proof written material, it is time consuming , boring , and NOT entertaining. If you can find the time, work your way through this research as it will bolster and solidify what you already know, IMHO.

I just thought of another army base that IS close to water (ocean) in fact it SITS right on the beach -- Fort Story, Virginia // part of Virginia Beach, actually. But it's still open and an active base. And I believe it's one of the few exceptions when it comes to real beach front property.
I don't why I thought that to be important -- probably isn't.
Jbrid after the Dubai deal and everyone protested, 2 weeks later not in the news they slipped in The Military bases deal. Dubai got those, closed Military bases here4 in the US. No one heard about that. Everyone settled down when no deal with the ports. Now aren't most Military bases on the ocean? They got 8 of them.

Good point there forum buddy. But no, not all military bases are on the ocean // some are, you get that star but some aren't. For example: And not all have been closed down -- Are Fort Riley, Kansas -- right smack in the center of the United States. And Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana -- near Indianapolis // closed down 10 or more years ago. And Fort Ritchie, Maryland -- also closed // was located right in a mountain range in Western Maryland. Fort Dix, New Jersey / not right on the ocean but the Atlantic is within a short drive. The same with Fort Bragg, North Carolina // not closed and not really that close to the ocean. Fort Ord, California -- yeah pretty close. The Navy and Marine bases would definitely be closer to water than army or air force bases however.
But I do truly understand your concern -- they've closed too damn many military Posts for what appear to be little to no good reason. And I didn't know the situation you explained -- but I'm not surprised either. Keep up the good work.

Let's me try and excite those same NWO jerks that were popping in yesterday to see what things we were saying regarding the 9/11 events of six (6) years ago --
I noticed THEY didn't like me discussing the explosions of the towers // they tried to create a lever by attacking a comment I wrote about shielding explosives in the WTC. They tried their best to turn my words into something not intended by me (a psyops in action right before our very eyes, folks) --
Maybe they were honest in asking about airplane strikes hindering planted explosives -- and maybe they misunderstood my comment -- but I think most likely they were trying to redirect, confuse, and belittle the message. I found it odd that anyone wouldn't think through the idea WHERE the towers were struck precisely couldn't have been a pre-planned/desired target zone -- give or take a few floors either way. I believe it was made to look more random by one zone different than the other -- when they could have been exactly the same if they wanted it that way // But so what! They found the target (the towers) from MANY miles distant (and doing so from high up in the air at that) // with that degree of expertise, don't you think a more precise target (zone) was also a good possibility? Take out 10 or more floors of the 110 floor office building still leaves plenty of explosives to go around -- Any which way you turn it. But those guys wanted to argue this logic. Amazing.
Not much has really changed since 9/11, and it should have because six (6) years is a long time. I sure don't need to tell anybody that.
GWB, as you will recall, was definitely initially upset by the very idea of a commission checking into the happenings of 9/11. That itself seemed quite suspicious at the time. And then when he finally did come around (as reported in the news media we have all come more and more so to not trust too awfully much these days) -- the man spoke as if it was his idea. What a true psyops ploy that was; the only thing is -- coming from him -- it really didn't go over too good.

Been six (6) long years and we're still at war with a country that initially did us no harm. We're in Iraq shooting bullets and dying BUT the psyops in play is we're fighing 'foreign fighters' -- not from Iraq // al Qaeda // that's supposed to make our occupation okay. Even back in the beginnings of 1 9 9 0 when Daddy Bush was the prez -- it was the USA that attacked Iraq then too; sure Iraq had gone into Kuwait for reasons that our government told us (again the media) was for bad reason -- and it was our God given right to protect those innocents // and there was nobody questioning something like that. Iraq in the early 1990's and again in the year 2 0 0 3.
So let me see here -- a country we attacked, we attack again // a country that DID NOT attack us on 9/11 // -- but that doesn't mean anything.
The country that did attack us (and Dubai is included in the mix) we want to give our major sea ports over to. Ok -- now I see -- It's not supposed to make sense.
And what else doesn't make sense is -- it has continued for six (6) YEARS now without so much as anything being done to fix and set straight of the lies involved. Not one.
9/11 was NOT the start of the clock ticking -- that's obvious to those of us now awake. Any effort (legal and honest) to try and unite the American people seems a lost cause or at best a slow process, especially when some will even today continue to believe Iraq had WMD and Iraq had something (??) to do with 9/11 and the war is our place to do (for our own national security and -- ) because of our God given rights (it doesn't matter how many die in the process because pulling out and ending the war would be an insult to those that have already given the ultimate sacrifice and died, and the idea of it not being worth it is a topic/something we should never speak of -- ) DAMN, the circle is vicious and the circle makes no sense, yet it continues to function.
Play the game the best we are able // and be grateful there is a game to be played // all the while the game shifts so the odds of winning are more in favor of the House. Hey, isn't that what part of Congress likes to call itself? The House -- of Representatives. Well, the odds seem to be shifting more and more everyday in their favor (House) while the American People are cheated little by little in a game with odds stacked against ever winning. Still -- We have to play; we have to try and win. Vote Ron Paul. Get rid of the bad, keep the good, have a little faith.

An Australian private security contractor who has risked his life in Iraq since the fall of Saddam tells of the dangers - and why he does it.
The bodies of two Australian security men will be flown home from Iraq this week.
They died working among the vast private army which provides much of the infrastructure keeping Iraq functioning.
Both had something in common with the man in this story, as soldiers of fortune who take risks in a country at war with itself - and everyone else.
Through towns and deserted highways, a convoy speeds on: just another day for Danny in Iraq.
As his team leader calls instructions from the front of the convoy, Danny stands guard in an armored "Gun Truck" at the rear.
War, it's said, is 90 per cent boredom, 10 per cent sheer terror.
Insurgents have detonated a roadside bomb, most probably by mobile phone. One vehicle is destroyed. But despite the direct hit, no-one has been killed or hurt.
Danny can't see the enemy, but the air crackles with the sound of their bullets. And then, as suddenly as the ambush began, the insurgents melt away.
Welcome to Iraq. Welcome to Danny's War.
"Somebody once said to me, you know, why do I look for trouble?" Danny told Today Tonight.
"I don't look for trouble, trouble knows where I am. Trouble tends to find me."
Danny is one of dozens of Australians working as guns for hire, stationed in Iraq.
Like most of them, Danny is ex-Australian military. He served with 1 RAR in East Timor.
But what makes him unique is that Danny, who has been in Iraq since the fall of Saddam, has taken his camera everywhere and filmed everything.
Based in the dangerous northern city of Mosul, Danny has been to all parts of the war-torn country. His video diary is a heart-rending record of a country desperate for peace, but tearing itself apart.
"It's ten to one, I've got to be up at four in the morning to do my next mission and I just can't sleep," Danny said to his camera.
"Dangerous mission, an all dayer, and a dangerous f****** route as well. Lot of IEDs [improvised explosive devices], suicide bombs, drive-by shootings, shit like that."
"Rocket attacks, everything."
Danny's job is to provide security for VIPs, including the US military. All of Danny's team are ex-soldiers. They are armed to the hilt and not to be messed with.
"The whole point is, you do your job," Danny said.
"You don't let your mates down. You've always got to back your mates. You watch his back, he watches yours."
In conventional warfare, your enemy is generally a young, fit man in uniform. In guerrilla warfare, you cannot tell who your enemy is.
Danny is the eyes of the team and he's also the firepower. If he comes under attack, Danny has permission to shoot to kill.
"We're always watching buildings, rooftops," Danny said.
But the biggest threats are unseen: IEDs. In an explosion caught on cameras placed by Danny in the convoy's vehicles, everyone - including Danny - survived without a scratch.
But at other times, on other missions, he has seen his mates injured, mates die. And the danger is not just from the enemy.
"You have half the American military doing a really good job, the other half is really dropping the ball for them," Danny said.
"Non-combat units are not able to distinguish between friendly and hostile targets, so treating everyone as hostile. It shits you to tears."
"I don't want to die because some American f***** up," Danny said. "If the bad guys get me, fair enough, fair cop."
"But American, that's just f****** wrong, mate."
Danny lives on a military base on the outskirts of Mosul. There's not much downtime, or much to do.
Going into town for a spot of time out is simply too dangerous. For Danny, a BBQ and a haircut at the compound are as close as it comes to relaxation.
Still, there are times - rare times - when the light in Iraq shines through.
"A bit of hearts-and-minds stuff today, dropping off school supplies for the kiddies. G'day cobber, how you goin, mate?" Danny said, greeting an Iraqi child.
"This is my happy side."
Danny has a soft spot for kids, with two of his own back in Australia.
"Sometimes, you need a mission like that, just to remind you that you're still human," he said.
But more often than not, Danny is witness to Iraq's disintegration. For example, he filmed a zoo symbolic of Iraq itself: almost in ruins, its inhabitants fighting for survival.
"At night, you have time to think about things. Think about where your life's been going, what happened to old friends. How people are doing.
"That's the worst thing about night time, you just have so much time to think."
So, what motivates someone to do this? For a start, adrenaline. Danny is never more alive than when he's so close to death.
Then, there is the money: he earns around US$10,000 per month, using the money to buy a home for his family in Australia and to pay for the education of his two children.
But he sees them just four times a year.
Alone in his room, with his favourite music playing, his emotions spilled over. "Seven years my young bloke's been alive and I've probably missed five of them," Danny said.
In a war that has gone so badly wrong, Danny stays because he believes the cause is right.
"People tend to forget that freedom is not free, it has to be fought for," he said. "There comes a time when you've got to work out if it's worth your life."

US rock star Prince gave his latest album away for free on Sunday with a British tabloid, angering music retailers.
The Minneapolis maverick, renowned for his run-ins with the music establishment, will also give away copies of Planet Earth at a series of London concerts starting next month.
Paul Quirk, co-chairman of the Entertainment Retailers Association, says Prince's decision to give away the album, which is not scheduled to go on sale until July 24, with copies of the Mail on Sunday "beggared belief".

American angst grows over globalization "menace"

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The stock market is at an all-time high, unemployment is near record lows, yet poll after poll shows American workers uneasy over job security and worried that they are losing out in a global economy.
The disconnect between the seemingly rosy economic data and the dour mood has caught the attention of some influential politicians who are concerned the middle class has soured on globalization, tingeing the debate on hot-button issues ranging from immigration to trade.
On the same day in June that Republican senators scuttled an immigration bill, many Democrats were applauding the demise of the fast-track trade authority that the Bush administration desperately wanted.
Rep. Barney Frank, who chairs the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, sees a link.
"Both of those died because of problems that were extrinsic," the Massachusetts Democrat said, adding that many workers harbored "deep anger" over stagnant wages and widening income inequality, and were quick to pin the blame on illegal immigrants, China or regional trade deals like NAFTA.
As long as that malaise exists, lawmakers will have trouble tackling thorny trade or immigration issues, Frank said, and with an election year looming, he and his colleagues argue for policies that make globalization more palatable to the public.
"The globalization issue is one that is menacing to many," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. "We want it to be promising to more."
Manufacturing job losses and recalls of potentially harmful Chinese-made goods have hardened negative attitudes. A recent survey from the Financial Services Forum found that 49 percent of Americans had a favorable view of globalization, down from 54 percent a year earlier.
POLITICS AND ECONOMICS
When economics and politics meet, it is not always a perfect fit, so the flat wages that stoke worker anxiety actually come as a bit of relief to economists who fret over an overheating job market and inflation.
That makes policy decisions all the more tricky, and even many Democrats are shying away from hard anti-trade stances like import tariffs for fear of shutting off profitable trade.
Emboldened by last November's congressional sweep and optimistic about their chances in the next election, Pelosi and other Democrats are pushing for a stronger safety net to support those hurt by competition from low-wage countries.
Proponents of globalization have a wealth of statistics to support their case that lowering trade barriers strengthens the U.S. economy -- even if the benefits are not equally shared.
A study released last month by economists Matthew Slaughter, Grant Aldonas and Robert Lawrence said that the average American family stands to gain as much as $15,000 per year from global trade that boosts productivity and opens new markets for U.S. goods and services.
But the report also found that wage growth had stagnated since 2000 for a wide swath of the labor force. Even college-educated workers have seen wages decline in recent years, when adjusted for inflation.
"This is like a bad lottery," said Rep. George Miller, a California Democrat who chairs the House Education and Labor Committee. "A few people get really good numbers and the rest of us get $1 to buy a new ticket."
That helps explain why the average worker is not thrilled with the state of the U.S. economy. A survey by Lake Research Partners found that 82 percent of workers felt they were missing out on economic growth.
"Trade may not be the No. 1 reason why they're losing their jobs, but they think it is," Miller said.
40 MILLION JOBS OUTSOURCED?
Economist Alan Blinder raised eyebrows this spring when he estimated as many as 40 million U.S. jobs could potentially be outsourced. He sees a painful transition as workers in even well-paid services lose out to cheaper foreign labor.
"It's gone beyond call centers and other relatively low-wage jobs," said Blinder, a former White House economic adviser who now teaches at Princeton University.
Blinder describes a divide between people who provide "impersonal" services that require little face-to-face interaction, such as radiologists, and those with truly hands-on jobs like taxi drivers or janitors. The second group will fare much better in a global economy, he said.
In 20 years, he expects carpenters to make more money than computer programmers. That means the U.S. education system needs to do a better job of preparing the next generation for the type of work that will exist.
But that's a long-term fix and for Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat, it does not help her address questions from her constituents who are anxious about their jobs.
"There is a sense of insecurity that is palpable," she said. "Enough of the debate. Let's get to the specifics."

Beheading the "Great Messiah"

Abraham Lincoln, as most of us were told in Mr. Smith’s 9th-grade history class, was a God-sent savior, a brilliant, articulate, and diversity-loving individual, and the Messiah of the great "Union." Most of us were brainwashed on enchanting quotations from the "great man from the little log cabin." This week celebrates his birthday, and may he be remembered for what he truly was. So let me begin a short and biased Lincoln diatribe, and may it rattle Abe’s grave and leave him forever unsettled.
Lincoln was a ruthless dictator of the most contemptible sort. A conniving and manipulative man, and a scoundrel at heart, he was nowhere near what old guard historians would have us believe.
Lincoln has been transformed into the indomitable icon of the American Union. But yet, this beast ruled the country by presidential decree, exercised dictatorial powers over a free people, and proceeded to wage war without a declaration from Congress. Lincoln blocked Southern shipping ports, justifying his actions by saying "he would enforce all laws and collect all revenues due the North." The blockades were an act of war. He set his Northern Army upon the South at Fort Sumter, and set in motion one of the most brutal attacks ever upon freedom by maneuvering the South into firing the first shot at their Northern aggressors.
However, Mr. Smith’s textbook would have us believe that Lincoln was a preservationist of sorts, a man dedicated to preserving the grandeur of State ideals. Most 9th-graders don’t have the intellect to ask what is so glorious about State ideals. Instead, they absorb just enough to make it into ignorant adulthood. In fact, if they had questioned these teachings, they would have discovered that Lincoln was a consummate con man, manipulator, and a State-serving miscreant.
In the march through Georgia during Lincoln’s War of Northern Aggression, he and Sherman carved out a murderous campaign, maiming innocent civilians and setting a precedent for the next century’s bloody genocides that followed. A fine exemplar was he, the Communists might say.
As if the pure evil of the war to subjugate the Southern states struggling for independence was not unscrupulous enough, Lincoln was hardly the watchman of the black race as portrayed by Mr. Smith’s ninth-grade history text, either. Lincoln had no fondness for the black man, and in fact, often spoke with the candor of that which would make him a modern-day racist of satanic proportions.
As Lincoln scholar Tom DiLorenzo points out, Lincoln believed there was an inherent inequality between the black and white race, and held a conviction that a "superior position" should be assigned to the white man over the black man due to this political and social inequality. David Duke was forever browbeaten for muttering anything even resembling this.
Any good historian at least understands that his goal was not to free the slaves, as DiLorenzo correctly states. In 1862, Lincoln published a letter stating, "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and it is not either to save or destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that. What I do about slavery and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union."
Lincoln was the darling candidate of the moneyed industrialists of the North. At the core of his political tenets was a government of high import taxes, and his Republican party, whom he lead, passed the Morrill tariff into law soon after taking office. To quote DiLorenzo, Lincoln "even promised in his First Inaugural Address to launch an invasion of any state that failed to collect its share of tariffs." He was committing himself to collecting customs in the South, even if that meant they would secede. The free-market economics of the South were up for assault.
Lincoln signed ten more tariff-raising bills throughout his agonizing administration. He manipulated the American public into the first income tax, he handed out huge land grants and monetary subsidies to transcontinental railroads (corporate welfare), and he took the nation off the gold standard, allowing the government to have absolute control over the monetary system. Then, he virtually nationalized the banking system under the National Currency Acts in order to establish a machine for printing new money at will and to provide cheap credit for the business elite. This mercantilist tyrant ushered in central banking, our greatest economic curse to this day.
Furthermore, his "New Army" and the slaughter effort on the South put into motion an unprecedented profusion of federal coercion against free citizens, both North and South. By way of conscription, he assembled a vast army by presidential decree, an act of flagrant misconduct which drafted individuals into slavery to the federal government. Additionally, any war dissenters or advocates of a peaceful settlement with the South were jailed, and, as even Mr. Smith knows, Habeus Corpus was abolished for the duration of the war. He then tossed into the slammer as many as 30,000 civilians WITHOUT due process of law for reasons of criticizing the Lincoln administration, and suppressed HUNDREDS of newspapers that did not support his war effort.
After his Army stopped secession in its tracks, Lincoln created provisional courts sympathetic to Northern aggression, invented the office of Military Governor, and issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which became a propaganda tool for historians in later years, though it did not free the slaves in Northern-controlled areas.

Bee Not Afraid
The disappearance of the honeybees isn't the end of the world.

When the honeybees disappeared this winter, the thought of losing such a fuzzy and adorable animal inspired dismay. The fact that bees might also be useful drove us to despair. The first official reports of "colony collapse disorder" began to surface in October of 2006; seven months later, USDA officials were calling CCD "the biggest general threat to our food supply," and newspaper columnists nervously joked about the impending "bloody wars not for oil or land or God but over asparagus and avocados." Experts pointed to the $14.6 billion worth of free labor honeybees provide every year, pollinating our crops. With a full quarter of them AWOL, presumed dead, who would make sweet love to the $1.6 billion California almond harvest? More precisely, who would help the almond harvest make sweet love to itself?
Few people realized that the honeybee apocalypse was already over. We may continue to associate them with childhood sugar rushes and chubby-cheeked fertility metaphors, but in real life honeybees have been virtually extinct in North America for more than 10 years, their absence concealed by a rogue's gallery of look-alikes. The stragglers have been kept alive only by the continued ministrations of the agricultural giga-industry that needs them.
It used to be that it was hard to eat a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich without a honeybee showing up and doing a little dance around your head. Hives (literally) grew on trees until 1987, when a mite called varroa destructor turned up in a honeybee colony in Wisconsin. Even for a parasite, varroa is less than charming. It looks like a microscopic baked bean, with sharp fangs used to slurp tiny droplets of blood from the abdomens of unsuspecting honeybees. Since these bites also transmit disease, like deformed wing virus and acute bee paralysis virus, an infested colony is kaput within four years. By 1994, an estimated 98 percent of the wild, free-range honeybees in the United States were gone. The number of managed colonies—those maintained by beekeepers—dropped by half.
The honeybees may have been especially vulnerable to the varroa epidemic. When the honeybee genome was sequenced a few years ago, researchers discovered fewer immune-system genes than you'd find in other insects. This despite the fact that the honeybee lives in tenementlike conditions, anywhere between 15,000 and 30,000 of them crammed into a hive the size of a filing cabinet. To make matters worse, a weakened hive often becomes the target of honey-raiders from healthier colonies, which only helps the parasites to spread.
It's possible that if the American honeybees had been left to their own devices, they would have died off in epic numbers and then evolved natural defenses against varroa (like more effective grooming), as they did in Asia. But crops had to be pollinated and no one had the time to sit around and wait.
Beekeepers opted to keep their colonies on life support with selective breeding, and by sprinkling them with medicine and insecticides aimed at the invading mites. This was no longer a hobby for amateurs. The only honeybees left—i.e., the ones that started disappearing in October—had become the cows of the insect world: virtually extinct in the wild, hopped up on antibiotics, and more likely to reproduce via artificial insemination than by their own recognizance.
If anything, it's impressive that the honeybee has hung on in America for as long as it has. The commercial hives spend half the year sealed and stacked in the back of 18-wheelers, as they're schlepped down miles of interstate to pollinate crops around the country. During this time, they get pumped up with high fructose corn syrup, which keeps the bees buzzing and lively, but it's no pollen. And if a bee happens to get sick on the road, it can't self-quarantine by flying away from the colony to die. (In the wild, a bee rarely dies in the hive.) Add to the above the reduced genetic diversity resulting from the die-offs in the 1990s, and you have an insect living in a very precarious situation—where a new pathogen, even a mild one, could spell honeybee doom.
So what brought on this recent scourge of colony collapse disorder? Early news reports on CCD listed a plethora of suspects: pesticides, parasites, global warming, chilly larvae, ultraviolet light, not enough pollen, not enough rain, cell phones, and alien spaceships. Given the present state of the honeybee, any or all of these could have been the culprit. (Well, except for the cell phones and spaceships.)
It's even possible the mystery disease has already shown up in years past. An 1897 issue of Bee Culture magazine mentions the symptoms of something that sounds remarkably like CCD, as do a few case studies from the '60s and '70s. Before bees fell victim to varroa and the ensuing stresses of modern life, these afflictions would have been easy to bounce back from. Today, the same causal agent could have more serious effects.
But is CCD such a tragedy? The honeybee may be the only insect ever extended charismatic megafauna status, but it's already gone from the wild (and it wasn't even native to North America to begin with). Sure, it makes honey, but we already get most of that from overseas. What about the $14.6 billion in "free labor"? It's more expensive than ever: In the last three years, the cost to rent a hive during the California almond bloom has tripled, from $50 to $150.
Good thing the honeybee isn't the only insect that can pollinate our crops. In the last decade, research labs have gotten serious about cultivating other insects for mass pollination. They aren't at the point yet where they can provide all of the country's pollination needs, but they're getting there. This year the California Almond Board two-timed the honeybee with osmia ligneria—the blue-orchard bee: Despite CCD, they had a record harvest.
But these newly domesticated species are likely to follow in the tiny footsteps of the honeybee, if they're treated the same way. Varroa mites have already been found on bumblebees, though for the time being they seem not to be able to reproduce without honeybee hosts. And bumblebees used in greenhouse pollination have escaped on several occasions to spread novel, antibiotic-resistant diseases to their wild counterparts. If things keep going like this, we may soon be blaming spaceships all over again.

The Council of Canadians has been told it will not be allowed to rent a municipal community centre for a public forum it had planned to coincide with the next Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) summit in Montebello, Quebec on August 20 and 21.
The Municipality of Papineauville, which is about six kilometres from Montebello, has informed the Council of Canadians that the RCMP, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and the U.S. Army will not allow the municipality to rent the Centre Communautaire de Papineauville for a public forum on Sunday August 19, on the eve of the so-called Security and Prosperity Partnership Leaders Summit.
“It is deplorable that we are being prevented from bringing together a panel of writers, academics and parliamentarians to share their concerns about the Security and Prosperity Partnership with Canadians,” said Brent Patterson, director of organizing with the Council of Canadians. “Meanwhile, six kilometres away, corporate leaders from the United States, Mexico and Canada will have unimpeded access to our political leaders.”
As well as being shut out of Papineauville, the Council of Canadians has been told that the RCMP and the SQ will be enforcing a 25-kilometre security perimeter around the Chateau Montebello, where Stephen Harper will meet with George W. Bush and Felipe Calderón on August 20 and 21. According to officials in Montebello, there will be checkpoints at Thurso and Hawkesbury, and vehicles carrying more than five people will be turned back.

The quake triggered a fire in an electrical transformer and also caused a leak of radioactive water at the Kashiwazaki Kariwa nuclear power plant, the world’s largest in terms of electricity output.
About 315 gallons of slightly radioactive water apparently spilled from a tank at one of the plant’s seven reactors and entered a pipe that flushed it into the sea, said Jun Oshima, an executive at Tokyo Electric Power Co. He said it was not clear whether the tank was damaged or the water simply spilled out.
No big deal, just some radio active nuclear waste material dumped into the sea, HOWEVER you might want to re-consider eating fish collected off the coast of Japan, unless you don't mind glowin in the dark.

Chicago (IL) - There is no slowdown in sight: The Internet keeps growing at an accelerated pace, adding 20.4 million new sites in the first half of this year, according to web analysis firm Netcraft. In June alone, the net grew by 3.62 million sites and stood at 125,626,329 at the beginning of this month.
Microsoft is gaining more and more ground on Apache as the preferred web server software provider. Microsoft added 2.4 million sites in June, bringing its total to more than 40 million for the first time. The firm’s market share is now estimated at 32.8%. Apache added only 556,000 sites and saw its market share slip by 1.1% to 52.7%. Excluding inactive sites, Apache now runs on 50.0% of sites, less than 14.5% ahead of Microsoft. The distance between the two companies was more than 33.4% in July 2006.
Thanks to Blogger, Google is the platform that currently enjoys the fastest growth: According to Netcraft, Google added 592,000 sites in June and now has a 4.32% market share.

And we're all greatful that a mexican is working in taco bell, jack in the box, McDonalds, and doing the maid and busboy work at hotels, stores, etc. Heck we don't want to work for peanuts and we certainly don't want those industries to raise their prices any more than they already have.
It's a viscous cycle and we're all stuck in the mud, but to put on your goodie, goodie two shoes and pretend that your holier than thou and aren't part of the problem is just downright B.S.

Google is expected to post double-digit gains in profit and sales when it reports second-quarter results next Thursday, as the Internet company continues to build its substantial lead in online search. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect Mountain View, Calif.-based Google to post a 44% gain in earnings from the period a year earlier, to $3.59 a share, while revenue is expected to grow 60% to $2.68 billion.

According to State Department officials, the pact would allow dual-mode ground receivers to use signals from both American GPS and European Union’s Galileo satellites.
Such receivers would presumably be more accurate since they would be able to potentially see double the number of satellites they do today. The GPS network currently employs 30 satellites and the Galileo system will eventually also have 30 satellites by 2010.
Dual-mode receivers would also be redundant because a hardware or software failure in one navigation system shouldn’t affect the other. Radiation from big solar flares would probably still be able to temporarily knock other both systems.
Raymond Clore, GPS advisor to the US State Department, told Reuters that he expects dual-use receivers to become popular, adding that single network satellite navigation units will eventually phase out in time.

Also, magnesium strips do not contain their own source of oxygen so combustion cannot occur unless the magnesium strips are exposed to air. A significant danger of magnesium ignition is the fact that the metal is an excellent conductor of heat; heating one end of the ribbon may cause the other end to transfer enough heat to the thermite to cause premature ignition. Despite these issues, magnesium ignition remains popular amongst amateur thermite users, mainly because it can be easily obtained.

Ron Paul might be a nice guy and may have some good ideas and good perspectives on some of the crimes going on at the upper levels of government, however it is my contention that neither Ron Paul, nor any other presidential candidate will be allowed to impose his own will, because in my pee-brain opinion there are much higher forces, who seem to be PULLING THE STRINGS of your elected officials.

Not that I'm a democrat as I make no bones about it in that I think they're all corrupt, but the basic philosophy of the republicans is this. FREE, CAPITOLISM. Yes, that is the basic concept, FREE ENTERPRISE, and little or no SOCIALISM.
In fac the basic concept is agreeable in many respects as I became a registered republican back in 1976 and never voted for a democrat. But of course after 9/11 I feel tha they're all corrupt, so I choose God as my savior instead of a man.
Back to the case at hand with why republicans would naturally support the massive INFLUX of illegal aliens.
On the opposing side of politics you have the democrat, the socialist, or as some prefer the liberal communist, and these two parties seem to come from two different philosophies.
Therefore the republicans naturally OPPOSE the unions, because they are in a sense socialists. Some republicans view unions as a form of communism because they impose limits on the freedoms corporations may have concerning labor. Now anything to an extreme can be very bad including unions, but so can greedy capitolists.
Never the less republicans are normally oppsed to unions, which is why little bush and his republican supporters are PRO-ILLEGAL ALIENS. Think about it.
The unions have been making it very difficult for free enterprise to hire labor and pay them accordingly because the unions impose regulations and restrictions, etc. And the unions became very strong, up until the 80's and 90's, etc.
So what's the best way to deal with the unions if you oppose them and don't want to be held hostage to them and pushed around? When they go on strike they can cripple whole industries, they can shut down grocery stores and the trucking industry and on and on.
So how do they deal with that??? Hmmmmmmmm let me think........ Solution!!! hire enough cheap labor that will fill those jobs so that when the unions go on strike the businesses can say, "Hit the road Jack, we don't need you anymore, we hired Pedro Gonzales to do your job for you". Bingo!!!
The more Mexicans that come accross the boarder and start taking on jobs that the unions were doing the LESS DEPENDANT you'll be on the unions.
Did you know that in the last couple of decades the unions have dropped so much they are only about 10% of what they used to be?
Now the dillema is this. You'd think that most liberal democrats would be pro-illigal aliens, however the UNIONS are the ones who are probably hurt the MOST by the influx of cheap labor who have been and continue to be WIPING OUT THE JOBS that the unions used to do.
And the unions used to be the biggest supporters of the democrats. So what we've got here is a situation where not only does lawlessness abound, and the moral fiber of this nation has decreased so much that our school systems ban the name of God, while teaching fairy tales such as evolution to our kids, and the kids watch the grown-ups justify murdering other little kids in Iraq for no valid reason at all.
Then combine these things with the toxic waste and pollution in our air, water and food, (even if you don't think theres a global warming problem) anyone with half a brain should admit there are serious problems with our air, water and food supply and folks we've got some serious problems, that just might be a little to far out of reach for a politician, who doesn't really have a chance of being elected anyway.
But if it makes you feel better to help fund a guys campaigne so he'll have some retirement money then be my guest, but you'd be far better off if you look to your Maker for help instead of some guy who doesn't even know you.

US President George W Bush has called for a Middle East peace conference later this year and pledged $US190 million in new aid to the government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Aiming to break years of stalemate, Mr Bush called for a meeting between Israel, the Palestinian Authority and their neighbours. He did not say where it would take place.
Reaffirming his vision of a Palestinian state at peace with Israel, Mr Bush said Palestinians faced "a moment of choice" between the Islamist militant group Hamas and Mr Abbas's more moderate vision.
"This is a moment of clarity for all Palestinians. Now comes a moment of choice," Mr Bush said in a White House speech.
"The alternatives before the Palestinian people are stark."
After the violent takeover last month of the Gaza Strip by Hamas, Western countries had rallied behind Mr Abbas with promises of renewed aid.
Their hope is to isolate Hamas, branded a terrorist group by the United States, and to spur peace moves between Palestinian moderates and Israel.
Some political analysts said the strategy could backfire as Mr Abbas will be viewed more as a collaborator with Israel and Washington.

Doesn't this look like explosive squibs of sorts working their way up the side of the building (WTC7)? Probably a mixture of broken window glass, and explosive dust and gas, and other miscellaneous debris being expelled as the cutter charges are sequenced to bring the building along -- and straight down. When I was rich I found I didn't appreciate having things as much as I did as a grad student. I used to live on about $10K and wanted for nothing. I actually saved. It's not what you have; it's how much you appreciate what you have. And if it comes too easily, you tend to appreciate it less.
My first car, a nearly new Mazda GLC, took all my savings ($7K.) It meant the world to me. I became nauseous when some kids sat on the hood and made a dent. My last car, purchased when I was rich, was an Infiniti J30. I wrote a cheque for $37K and thought, "what the hell, it's OK."
Money is an abstraction that ensnares. Beyond our necessities, it just steals our lives. How did Ted Turner manage when his $10 billion fortune was reduced to $3 billion (after AOL bought Time Warner?) Did it sting to go from the 12th richest man to the 48th? I bet it did. Did it affect his lifestyle? I doubt it!
We can't buy happiness but we keep on trying. Money makes us feel good and feeling good is what motivates us. Only, the feeling doesn't last. I have a hunch that Love (God) is what provides the permanent feel-good experience. We have substituted money for love. As a result, we can't love.

A couple of you PsyOps experts out there wanting to twist the possible and make it sound impossible (fires, explosions, airplane colliisions, etc) // let me 'fire' (no pun intended) something very similiar right back at you.

A good question, I suppose, but it indicates an unawareness that the fires noted in WTC7 were not large and were basically contained to one or two (maybe three) floors -- I'd have to go back and check on the exact number // but as I recall there were 47 floors in WTC7. Think.
The ones that set those fires in WTC7 were the same ones that pre-set those explosive cutter- charges. The same ones. They wouldn't mix the two as you seem to want to suggest. That wouldn't be too bright as dumb as these evil SOB's were in their unholy murderous deed.

When Jesus said "Don't judg you be judged" and yet God says He loves judgement, I had to search the scriptures to find out what He really wants. We all have to judge things and the behavior of people, how else could you decide who to vote for, or who is lying or who is not, we all have to judge the situation in order to make the best decisions.

There could be violence, unrest, etc - but people are expecting vast MASSES of Blacks to now flee Zimbabwe in numbers perhaps 10 times greater than we've seen. South Africa's northeast border is buckling under the weight of a "human tsunami", as Zimbabweans flee the economic meltdown in their country.
South African soldiers and police have arrested more than 5 000 illegal border-crossers in the past fortnight, but National Assembly safety and security committee chairperson Maggie Sotyu said on Friday that this number was only "the people we manage to catch".
Sotyu and other MPs have just returned from a fact-finding visit to several border posts. She said no one knows the true figure of illegal immigrants, but one border official said the number could be between 2 000 and 3 000 a day.
South African s! oldiers have been accused of shooting and killing at least seven illegal border-crossers late last month.
Military and police officials remain tight-lipped, but local business people and workers claim the illegal immigrants were killed during a night when there was "an intense exchange of gunfire".
The group of 18 Zimbabweans, believed to be part of a cigarette-smuggling syndicate, were apparently heavily armed and opened fire on the soldiers when they tried to stop them crossing, according to a farmer in the area.
"An exchange of gunfire then ensued, leaving seven Zimbabweans dead - I was hosting my friends at my property, and hearing gunshots from what would certainly be heavy weaponry was frightening," said the farmer, who refused to have his name printed.
Other business people and their workers believe the group was not made up of border-jumpers fleeing Robert Mugabe's rule, but rather were members of organised crime.
Musin a is experiencing mixed fortunes from the growing influx of illegal immigrants.
On the one hand, retailers are reporting a sales boom, as Zimbabweans buy critically needed supplies before heading home, while on the other hand, game farmers and lodge operators are complaining of the "devastating impact" of crime.

A group of senior police officers were in Musina this week to investigate the "deeply worrying border situation", sources said, while Sotyu led a group of MPs to review the situation - exacerbated by "incompetent and corrupt" border control staff.
"It is nothing short of a tidal wave, a human tsunami," said one Musina Home Affairs officer who asked not to be named.
"Ask anyone working here and they will tell you the same thing. We are doing our best and we pick up those we can find, bu t the numbers are too great."
On Friday, Mugabe'! s regime banned the import of groceries for resale from August 1, crippling thousands of cross-border traders who make a living out of buying and selling goods currently in short supply in Zimbabwe.
Under new government regulations, it will no longer be possible to import groceries like beef, butter, cooking oil, tea, flour and sugar without a permit, the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper reported.
Police have also impounded minibus taxis in Harare, fining drivers who had not complied with government orders to cut fares, stranding commuters on the way to work, state media reported.
At least 100 taxis had been impounded since Wednesday, state radio said.
Shelves in stores across the country remained bare of mealie meal, bread, meat and other staples after black marketeers and ordinary Zimbabweans swamped stores in Bulawayo and Harare to exploit the bonanza.
Riot police were called to a wholesale store on Thursday to control a stampe de of shoppers gathering up reduced goods, while extra police officers were posted at downtown clothing and shoe stores in Harare.
Earlier in the week, the government withdrew the licences of all private abattoirs, accusing them of defying orders to reduce meat prices.
Restaurants and fast-food outlets have also been ordered to slash their prices. Police told one restaurant owner to "redesign the menu" by eliminating expensive dishes.
In several restaurants, steak was out of stock, waiters said.
Police even shut down the canteen at the Harare law courts, used by court officials, magistrates and police themselves, for failing to comply with the price order, state media reported on Friday.
Butcheries, stores, factories and fuel stations have been unable to replace materials sold at below the original cost since the government's prices edict on June 25, officially slashing prices by about 50 percent in response to the count ry's rampant inflation.
Official inflation is peg! ged at 4 500 percent, the world's highest, although independent financial institutions estimate that inflation is running closer to 9 000 percent.
On Friday, Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille claimed that Zimbabwe had become a vampire state that had turned on its own people.
"By any definition of a modern state, Zimbabwe barely exists.
"The self-destructive policies set in motion seven years ago by President Mugabe have finally destroyed the country," she said in her weekly online newsletter, in which she also criticised President Thabo Mbeki for his handling of the situation.
Zille described the Zimbabwe government's attempts at price stabilisation as a military operation intended to scuttle the hostile business community and a "shocking instance of vampirism at its worst".
"The selfsame militias enforcing the price slashes then seize the goods and resell them on the black market. The apocalypse - mass starvation and a hea dlong flight from the country, chiefly into South Africa - has arrived," she predicted.

The return of the reptilians after the flood?
The name, Semiramis, was evolved from the earlier Indian deity, Sami-Rama-isi or Semi-ramis.6 A fish and a dove are two symbols still widely used in religious ritual and national ceremony, although most of the people involved have no idea of the true meaning. Sinn Fein, the political wing of the Northern Ireland terrorist group the IRA, has a dove as its symbol and you find the dove on many of the sceptres held by the British monarch (see picture section).
Both organizations are modern fronts for the Babylonian Brotherhood and the doves symbolize Queen Semiramis. The dove to them is not a symbol of peace, but of death and destruction because of the reverse symbolism the Brotherhood employs. If it is positive to the masses, it is negative to the Brotherhood, and this allows their negative symbols to be placed throughout the public arena. She was also worshipped under the name Astarte ‘the woman who made towers’ and this could refer to the Tower of Babel (Babylon) which Nimrod is said to have built. Later he expanded further into Assyria to build cities like Nineveh where many of the Sumerian Tablets were found. Nimrod and Semiramis (or the beings those names symbolized) were from the reptile bloodlines which also became known as Titans, the genetic streams of the reptile-possessed humans and the full blood reptilians. This race of ‘giants’ or ‘Titans’ was said to have been descendants of Noah, the baby described in the Book of Enoch (previously the Book of Noah) as being a Watcher-human hybrid with extremely white skin.
The father of Nimrod in the text of Genesis was Cush, also known as Bel or Belus, who was the grandson of Noah and son of Ham. Cush became known as the deity, Hermes, which means Son of Ham.1 Ham or Khem means the ‘burnt one’ and may have been connected to Sun worship.2 A great network of deities emerged from Babylon and its connections with Egypt.
Nimrod and Semiramis have remained the key deities of the Brotherhood to this day under many different names and symbols. Nimrod was symbolized as a fish and Queen Semiramis as a fish and a dove. The Babylonian Brotherhood

It was here that the mystery schools and secret societies were formed which were to span the globe in the thousands of years that followed.

LA church agrees to record abuse deal

The main lawyer representing more than 500 victims of alleged sex abuse by Catholic priests in Los Angeles says a multi-million-dollar financial settlement has been reached.
The compensation deal for victims of abuse dating back as far as the 1940s is understood to be worth $757 million.
The settlement, the largest of its kind, means victims will receive about $1.5 million each.
The case was scheduled to go to trial on Monday and focused on 12 plaintiffs who accused former priest Clinton Hagenbach of molesting them.
Father Hagenbach died two decades ago.
The judge hearing the case will have to approve the settlement.
Had the case gone to trial, lawyers had sought to put Los Angeles Archbishop Roger Mahony in the position of testifying about the Church's response to abuses dating from the 1940s to the 1990s.
Because the criminal statute of limitations has expired, victims in California and elsewhere have brought lawsuits against the Church over the issue.
David Clohessy, national director of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, says money is not a key objective for the victims.
"It is never about the money," he said.
"Victims want healing, prevention, closing, accountability...
"This represents a tremendous achievement by these brave survivors who somehow found the strength to come forward, report the crimes, get legal help, expose the predators.
"Because of the bravery of these 500 men and women, there are 221 predator priests who have now been exposed and kids are safer as a result."
The diocese is expected to sell property to raise the settlement funds.
Further details will be released in a statement later today.

Lebanon troops advance into camp

Lebanese troops have advanced for the first time into a Palestinian refugee camp as they battle Al Qaeda-inspired militants.
Two soldiers have been killed in the incursion, raising the military death toll to 100.
Lebanese and Army flags have been seen flying over two or three devastated buildings inside Nahr al-Bared as the battle for the north Lebanon camp between the military and Fatah al-Islam fighters enters its ninth week.
The advance marks a major step for the Army in the battle to crush the militants and a rare venture by troops into a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon in four decades.
A 1969 Arab agreement banned Lebanese security forces from entering Palestinian camps.
The agreement was annulled by the Lebanese Parliament in the mid-1980s but the accord effectively stayed in place.
A total of 221 people, including at least 80 militants, have been killed since the fighting began on May 20, making it Lebanon's worst internal violence since the 1975-1990 civil war.
The toll includes those killed in limited clashes in other areas of the country.
Fatah al-Islam is made up of a few hundred mainly Arab fighters who admit admiration of Al Qaeda but claim no organisational links.
Some of the fighters have fought in or were on their way to fight in Iraq.

Israel to stop hunting scores of militants

Israel has agreed to stop hunting 189 wanted Fatah militants if they pledge to end attacks against the Jewish state, in an effort to bolster Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The country has also agreed to Mr Abbas' request to allow exiled Palestinian leader Nayef Hawatmeh, the Damascus-based leader of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), to visit the occupied West Bank for the first time in 40 years.
Hawatmeh's group carried out dramatic attacks against Israel in the 1970s but has scaled back its activities in recent years.
Mr Abbas asked Israel to let Hawatmeh into the West Bank so he could attend Wednesday's meeting of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation's Legislative Council, which functions as an internal parliament.
Israeli officials say Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will also meet Mr Abbas on Monday as part of a US-led effort to try to revive long-stalled peace talks after Hamas' violent takeover of the Gaza Strip last month.
Aside from signing a pledge not to attack Israel, the 189 militants to be taken off the wanted list will each be expected to spend a week in Palestinian custody.
For the next three months, their movement will also be confined solely to the towns in which they live.
Prison releases
Mr Olmert will also give Mr Abbas a finalised list of 250 prisoners who will be released from Israeli jails.
An official in Mr Olmert's office says about 85 per cent of the Palestinians to be released will be from Fatah.
The rest will come from non-Islamist groups, including DFLP, in a move aimed at broadening support for Mr Abbas and the Government he appointed to replace a Hamas-led cabinet.
Mr Olmert's office says the list includes well-known militant Zakaria Zbeideh, who leads the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an offshoot of Fatah, in the West Bank city of Jenin.
After the announcement, Zbeideh said: "I don't trust the Israelis that they will stop but I am committed to the Palestinian political decision and I want to give the Palestinian Government a chance."
Israeli Cabinet Minister Isaac Herzog has described the steps as "difficult" but says "nonetheless, we will do it".
Israel's Deputy Defence Minister, Matan Vilnai, has told Army Radio: "We are in 2007 and we have to ask ourselves what serves the interests of Israel and how to prevent Hamas from taking control."
"There are no other ways of helping Mahmoud Abbas except to allow modifications in the list of wanted Palestinians," he said.
Leaders of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades say militants granted the reprieve will sign commitments not to attack Israeli forces or civilians.
Israel will review the reprieves after three months.
Mr Abbas dismissed a Hamas-led Government after the Islamist group seized control of Gaza by force on June 14.
He formed a new Government in the occupied West Bank, where his secular Fatah faction remains dominant over Hamas.
The new Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has pledged to crack down on militants in the West Bank but said success hinged on Israel agreeing to stop hunting the gunmen.
