I'm not dissing Jeff Rense. I think he's confused on bird flu. I don't trust his opinion on that, just like I don't trust Alex's opinion on HIV as the cause of AIDS. I think they've both fallen for the propaganda on that. I haven't seen any study that proves either of them are the killers that the media claims them to be. And they are talking about vaccines for both of them, which is extremely suspicious in and of itself. I see it as the NWO creating a non-existant problem and giving the solution. Even though Alex talks it about it from time to time, I just can't buy the idea that HIV causes AIDS. I believe there was an effort to make HIV as a bioweapon. I believe they put it in crops and animals and people for a desired effect. But I just don't see any evidence that it does anything. If HIV exists at all, it's a failed bioweapon retrovirus, and is harmless. I believe what Dr. Peter Duesberg (Inventing the AIDS virus) and Stephen Davis (Wrongful Death: The AIDS trial) say about it. That epidemiologically, a virus can't be causing AIDS. And that the HIV antibody tests and the PCR tests pick up non-specific proteins that have nothing to do with a virus. I mean, not even Dr. Gallo himself, the guy who claims to have discovered the virus, in his testimoney at the ongoing AIDS Trial in Austrailia presently, can give any definitive evidence that the HIV virus even exists. If anyone has anything to offer about this, I'd really appreciate it. I really need to figure this out. Thanks.

Seven American soldiers have been killed in Iraq, and four British soldiers in Basra, in the past couple of days.
President George W. Bush’s surge has only caused an escalation of death and has made things worse in Iraq.
Attacks are increasing against coalition troops everywhere in Iraq and more Iraqis are being slaughtered.
The civil war between Sunnis and Shiites is spreading out of Baghdad into every region of the country now.
Sectarian mayhem is mushrooming everywhere, even in Kurdish north, so Iraq disintegrates into anarchy.
Sabotage of Iraq’s petroleum infrastructure continues and can never be completely secured by US military.
The Bush Regime occupation of Iraq has become the worst fiasco/ mistake/ failure in United States history.
It’s way past time to pull all the troops out of Iraq and for Congress to cut-off all funding of Bush’s debacle.

Scientists close to Potter-style 'invisibility cloak'

Scientists say they have finally come up with a workable design for an invisibility cloak.
Physicists figured out the complex mathematical equations for making objects invisible by bending light around them last year.
Now a group of engineers at Purdue University in Indiana have used those calculations to design a relatively simple device that ought to be able to - one day soon - make objects as big as an aeroplane simply disappear.
The design calls for tiny metal needles to be fitted into a hairbrush-shaped cone at angles and lengths that would force light to pass around the cloak. This would make everything inside the cone appear to vanish because the light would no longer reflect off it.
"It looks pretty much like fiction, I do realise, but it's completely in agreement with the laws of physics," said lead researcher Vladimir Shalaev, a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue.
"Ideally, if we make it real it would work exactly like Harry Potter's invisibility cloak," he said. "It's not going to be heavy because there's going to be very little metal in it."
The still-theoretical design will be published this month in the journal Nature Photonics.
Professor Shalaev says he needs to secure funding to build the device and expects it would take two to three years to come up with a working prototype.
The major limitation is that the current design can only bend the light of a single wave-length at a time, and does not work with the entire frequency range of the visible spectrum.
"How to create a design that works for all colours of visible light at the same time will be a big technical challenge, but we believe it's possible," Professor Shalaev said. "In principle, it's doable."
Even blocking a single frequency can lead to useful applications, he added.
The cloak could shield soldiers from night-vision goggles which use only one wavelength of light. It could also be used to hide objects from "laser designators" used by the military to illuminate a target.

A controversial speaker at an Islamic conference in Melbourne Australia this weekend has lashed out at the media, accusing reporters of whipping up hysteria over Muslims.
Yvonne Ridley is a British journalist who famously converted to Islam after being captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan.
This week Labor's Immigration spokesman, Tony Burke, called for her to be banned from entering Australia because of her reportedly extremist views.
She has previously described suicide bombings as "martyrdom operations" and written articles expressing sympathy for the architect of the Beslan school massacre and the Moscow theatre siege.
But Ms Ridley says she has been misquoted and misrepresented.
"These views have been taken out of context and have been dredged up by mischief-makers who have an Islamaphobic agenda," she said.
"I condemn shoddy journalism and poor research."
When asked if she could categorically condemn suicide bombings, Ms Ridley said the greatest purveyors were the largely Hindu Tamil Tigers and she was not sure why the practice had been specifically attached to Muslims.
When asked again whether or not she supported the practice of suicide bombing, she said, "Of course I don't".
"I have in fact been quite mystified that a senior Labor member would resort to such a cheap tactic," she said.
"Especially after last year I spent time with Bob Hawke and his wife and other eminent people in Copenhagen drawing up a declaration to combat Islamaphobia."

REPLY: To the best of my knowledge Jesus did not appear and disappear until his death and resurrection. He got a new position and some new equipment after he allowed Himself to die for you. It was necessary for Jesus to be tempted as a man in every way and yet remain without sin in order to set the standard for those who would follow Him after they were born again. REPLY : You have the wrong idea about salvation. It is true that by believing in the death and resurrection of the Son of God, you have a reserved spot in heaven. But there is another way of receiving life from God. (Most of the people that have ever lived on earth have not had the opportunity of accepting Christ as their savior. Many of those who have had an opportunity could not connect the dots for themselves. Mostly because they have heard only BS about the process of salvation. A lot like you I suppose.) Everyone who has ever lived will one day stand before God and give an account of his or her life. REPLY: I believe that religion and religious people do try to keep smart and stupid people alike in line. Your problem is that, like many others, you don't realize that Jesus Christ was sent to earth to destroy religion and its ritualistic practices and set up a system which would allow man and God to interact on a personal basis. REPLY: At the time God cast satan to earth, after his rebellion, he and his demons were void of all power except for the power of deception. The only reason God allowed satan to exist on the same planet with Adam and Eve is so they would have the opportunity to exercise their free will. Satan would never have had any power over man if Adam and Eve had not disobeyed the only restriction God had placed on them. Adam and Eve did fall prey to the wiles of satan by choosing to believe him rather than God. God clearly commanded them not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and that is what satan convinced them to do. God did not command then not to have sex, in fact He told them to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. I am not sure where you got your biblical training, but I would ask for my money back if I were you.

it reminds me of my son blindly reciting the words to the flag salute although he knows not what he's saying. indoctrination is indoctrination no matter who's right. the two year old in the film hit me the hardest because while the others shout with gusto that is almost applaudable, she, with expressionless face, mimicks the same syllables as the other girls to be in the club as well.
perhaps i'm over-reacting, please believe i'd like to see the monkey thrown in jail, it's not about that, but kids should not be force fed anybody's dogma..

Getting a child to midlessly parrot something they have no way of truly understanding should be abuse by exploitation. But, then that would be a kick in the teeth to religion as well. We can't have that.

A US military tribunal has sentenced confessed terrorism supporter David Hicks to seven years in jail but he will only have to serve nine months.
The tribunal judge accepted Hicks's guilty plea as part of an agreement that limited his sentence to seven years in prison, in addition to the five years he has been held at the US base at Guantanamo Bay.
The deal allowed all but nine months of the sentence to be be suspended.
Hicks will serve the sentence in Australia and the United States must send him home by May 29.
Apology
Hours after Hicks was formally convicted of supporting terrorism, his lawyer, Major Michael Mori, told a panel of military officers Hicks deserved lenient punishment as he posed no threat and was sorry for his actions.
"David owes apologies to many people," Major Mori said, reading a statement on behalf of Hicks.
"First and foremost, David wants to apologise to his family. He wants to apologise to Australia and he wants to apologise to the United States."
Major Mori says Hicks was a naive young man looking for battlefield experience after having been rejected for military service in Australia due to his only having an eighth grade education.
Major Mori called his client a mere "wannabe" soldier whose heart was not in Al Qaeda but who sought out training where he could "because he didn't have an education to be a real soldier".
Recounting how Hicks fled from advancing Northern Alliance forces for three days, Major Mori said, "the 'wannabe' finally got a real taste of it and he ran away".
Major Mori suggested a sentence of one year and eight months, given Hicks has spent more than five years at the Guantanamo detention camp, had cooperated with US interrogations, admitted guilt and behaved well as an inmate.
Lead prosecutor Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Chenail had told the tribunal Hicks had knowingly sought out an organisation bent on attacking the United States and acquired dangerous skills.
The prosecutor, Marine Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Chenail, says Hicks freely joined a band of killers who slaughtered innocents.
"We are face to face with the enemy," he said.
First conviction
Hicks, who has become the first war crimes convict among the hundreds of foreign captives held for years at the Guantanamo prison camp, had pleaded guilty to supporting terrorism in an agreement with US military prosecutors.
Hicks, originally from Adelaide in South Australia, acknowledged he trained with Al Qaeda, fought against US allies in Afghanistan in late 2001 for two hours and then sold his gun to raise cab fare and tried to flee by taxi to Pakistan.
The 31-year-old denied having advance knowledge of the September 11 attacks in New York.
Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer says the Federal Government will not commute the sentence to be imposed on Hicks.
Mr Downer told ABC Radio's AM program that the Government will support whatever sentence is handed down.
"We would not the commute the sentence, the sentence would be carried out fully," he said.
"I say that with a bit of passion because we take a very strong stand against terrorism.
"I have seen the consequences on the ground in Bali and our Australian embassies for Australia's terrorism attacks and if any Australian gets involved in terrorist activities they get no sympathy from us."
Hicks was captured in Afghanistan in December 2001 and was among the first prisoners the United States sent to Guantanamo a month later.
Washington considers them dangerous and unlawful "enemy combatants" who must be detained in the war against terrorism.
Rights groups and foreign governments have condemned the prison at the US naval base on the eastern tip of Cuba for what they say is abuse of prisoners' rights.

Prime Minister John Howard says he is pleased the David Hicks matter has finally been dealt with, following news the Guantanamo Bay detainee will only have to serve nine months in jail.
But Mr Howard has urged Australians not to view the confessed terrorism supporter as a hero.
Hicks will be a free man by the end of the year, after he pleaded guilty to training with Al Qaeda and fighting with its forces in Afghanistan against US allies for two hours in late 2001.
A US military commission has sentenced the 31-year-old to seven months' jail but he will only have to serve nine months.
The US must send him home by May 29 so he can serve his sentence in Australia.
Mr Howard says he is pleased the serious charges levelled at Hicks have been resolved through the military commission process.
He says he does not intend to examine the "entrails" of the decision made in the plea bargain.
"A decision has been made, a sentence has been delivered," he said.
"He will leave Guantanamo Bay in 60 days. He will serve the residue of the sentence in Australia.
"I don't really intend to say much more about the matter. He's not a hero in my eyes and he oughtn't be a hero in the eyes of any people in the Australian community."
Hicks's plea agreement bars him from speaking to the media for a year and selling his story.
He has also been banned from taking legal action against the US.
The former kangaroo skinner has also withdrawn claims that the US military abused him.
Greens leader Bob Brown says Hicks's sentence is a political fix designed to keep him out of the political spotlight during this year's federal election campaign.
'Second chance'
The chief prosecutor at the US military tribunal hearing the case against Hicks says the 31-year-old is very fortunate and getting a second chance.
Air Force Colonel Moe Davis has paid tribute to defence lawyer Major Michael Mori, saying Hicks owes him a great debt.
He says he also wants to thank Mr Howard and Attorney-General Phillip Ruddock, who have come under a lot of pressure over the case.
"We promised that we'd provide a fair trial and I hope that this week we've shown that we lived up to our commitment," Colonel Davis said.
"Sometimes doing what's right is not always doing what's popular in the polls but they stuck with us.
"We told them we'd provide a fair trial. They took us at our word and I believe that this week, we accomplished that, so I appreciate their support."
But a senior barrister with the Law Council of Australia, Lex Lasry QC, says the tribunal process has failed to meet international standards.
"One of the remarkable things about today is the coincidence both in relation to the sentence and in effect the gag order that is on Mr Hicks under his pre-trial agreement," Mr Lasry said.
"As far as the Australian Government's concerned, it's interesting that there's an election in Australia later this year and Mr Hicks will be in custody until after it, and he won't be able to speak about his circumstances for another year."

Hicks returned to the Guantanamo Bay court room and admitted to a range of activities, including training at Al Qaeda camps in Afghanistan and meeting Osama bin Laden.
Presiding officer Colonel Ralph Coleman has convicted him on the charge of providing material support for terrorism.
Under the terms of a plea deal, Hicks will serve no more than seven years behind bars but an as-yet undisclosed portion of this sentence will be suspended.
He will return to Australia within 60 days.
In a statement read to the tribunal on his behalf, Hicks said he owed apologies to many people, including his family, Australia and the US.
He has also thanked Australians for their compassion and forgiveness and has promised not to betray their support.
Admissions
Hicks's chest-length hair was newly cut short and he wore a dark gray suit and tie as he stood before the judge.
Hicks raised his right arm and answered, "yes" in a guttural voice when asked if he would swear to tell the truth.
The judge read a list of the acts Hicks admitted to and asked him to affirm each one.
Hicks answered, "yes, sir" or "it's good," as the judge read each paragraph.
Hicks's plea agreement bars him from speaking to the media for one year and says if he ever sells the rights to his story, the Australian Government will get the money.
He was also banned from taking legal action against the United States.
Hicks had previously said he was abused by the US military but said in his plea agreement he had "never been illegally treated while in US custody".

Meanwhile, Al Qaeda suspect Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri says he was tortured until he confessed to the attack on USS Cole.
He says he lied to interrogators about Osama bin Laden having a nuclear bomb because he was being tortured, a transcript of a March 14 hearing held at Guantanamo Bay says.
"From the time I was arrested five years ago, they have been torturing me," Nashiri, a Saudi Arabian national of Yemeni descent, said through a translator.
"I just said those things to make the people happy."

David Hicks's father, Terry, has slammed the conditions of the Guantanamo Bay detainee's release, under which the confessed terrorism supporter will be a free man by the end of the year.
A US military tribunal has sentenced Hicks to seven years' jail but he will only have to serve nine months.
The US must send Hicks home within two months so he can serve his sentence in Australia.
The tribunal judge accepted Hicks's guilty plea as part of an agreement that limited his sentence to seven years in prison, in addition to the five years he has been held at Guantanamo.
The plea agreement bars the former kangaroo skinner from speaking to the media for a year and selling his story. He has also been banned from taking legal action against the US. Hicks has previously said the US military abused him but in his plea agreement, he said he had "never been illegally treated while in US custody".
'Branded a terrorist' Terry Hicks says his son is being forced to sign a document to say he was not mistreated." It's probably a poor thing from the American side to make people sign these papers to say that they were treated OK, no abuses, when we all know that he has been abused and others have been abused," he said." But if he had to do it to get out of there, then so be it." Mr Hicks says he is relieved his son will serve out his sentence in Australia but he will still push the issue of the 31-year-old's alleged abuse. "I can see discrepancies in this, as well as the good thing that David's going to be home," he said. "The problem, I suppose, is that David's going to have this stigma on him for the rest of his life - he'll be branded as a terrorist. "We know he's not. We know why he went through this business of a plea bargain." Hicks earlier admitted to training with Al Qaeda and fighting with its forces against US allies in Afghanistan for two hours in 2001. He admitted to then selling his gun to raise a cab fare and trying to flee Pakistan. He said he owed an apology to his family, Australia and the US.
Govt pleased Prime Minister John Howard says he is pleased the case is resolved. Mr Howard says the facts speak for themselves, despite criticism levelled at the Government for its handling of the case. "I had wanted him to face justice and the only way that could happen would be for the military commission hearing to take place because it was not possible for him to be tried in Australia," he said. "I regard it as very good that the matter has now been dealt with." Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd says a Labor government would honour the sentence. "We in this country, whether we are the alternative government or the government, are bound by Australian domestic law," Mr Rudd said. "In that case, it's the International Prisoner Transfer Agreement Act of 1997. "It underpins the intergovernmental agreement which the Australian Government has entered into with the United States. "As an alternative government, our responsibility is to honour the law and that's what we propose to do."
'Political fix' But Greens leader Bob Brown says Hicks's sentence is designed to keep him out of the political spotlight during this year's federal election campaign. "This is an astonishing political fix between the Howard administration and the Bush administration," Senator Brown said. "This is carefully choreographed to have Hicks shut up until after the election. "That's because they know that this is an illegal process. It breaches Australia's standards of democracy, human rights, civil rights." Amnesty International Australia spokeswoman Katie Wood says she is pleased the saga is over for Hicks's family but says it is hardly justice. "Fundamentally, what's happened is he's pleaded guilty to a trumped-up charge before a kangaroo court," she said. "And of course, the conditions that are attached to this deal are disquieting. "If he can't pursue allegations of torture and other ill treatment and can't also talk about his experience in Guantanamo Bay, then this basically means that human rights scrutiny can't be made to what happened to him." Ms Wood says the Federal Government should be ashamed of its inaction over the David Hicks case. "The Australian Government have wholeheartedly abandoned one of its own citizens to an unfair process," she said. "While it is a relief for David Hicks and his family that he will finally come home and that his ordeal is concluded, the Australian Government hasn't done what the UK Government have done, for example, which is to stand up against an unfair system and also to say that Guantanamo Bay should be closed." Hicks's defence lawyer, Major Michael Mori, says he is satisfied with the outcome of the US military commission. "David has some certainty right now. He's going to be back in Australia no later than 29 May," Major Mori said. "That's what he's focused on, he's focused on seeing his family. "Hopefully that happens a lot quicker - it should - we've done all we can do put it in place so he can be brought back."

ZIMMERMAN: Obviously it's a tragic situation. You watch the treatment of the British soldiers there and it clearly reflects just how bankrupt and how corrupt the Iranian government is.
It of course brings to mind the fact that this administration's got to engage its allies in the region to further isolate Iran because they're just not fit to be with, to be in the body of nations.
But I do believe is, as frustrating as the situation is, there has to be a dialogue to bring Iran into a dialogue, because the sanctions have been having an impact. We see the Iranian government has to ration gasoline because there's no place to refine it. And we're seeing the Iranian president lose more and more ground in municipal elections.
PILGRIM: And we saw some of the European nations resisting sanctions against Iran and this may bring it home this is indeed a dire situation.

GOODWIN: I think it's sort of the Iranian wag the dog episode where they're trying to distract attention from what's going on at the United Nations and I think they're also worried about the emergence of Saudi Arabia and its stepped up role in Mid-East diplomacy and it's a Sunni/Shia split writ large and I think those are the two main opposing powers on that issue and so I think that the Iranians are trying to distract everyone, trying to kind of beat their chest and show that they're still a big player in the region. No one doubts that.
But I think, as Robert said, they are isolating themselves and giving even China and Russia reasons to back tougher sanctions.
ROLLINS: This was an act of war. And if the British Navy can't basically respond, there's a big navy sitting 50 miles right off of the coast of Iran right today. I'm not advocating we bomb them but there is two carrier groups, many ships, 100 jet airplanes, and we could take out their nuclear capacity, we could do whatever.
And sooner or later Iran has to understand that people are only going to tolerate so much and it may not be us, it may be someone else, but there's a lot of forces out there that basically are getting very frustrated with this.

The military trains its personnel for specific types of warfare not for the invasion of specific countries.
The fact that featured members of Special Forces speak the language is not a clear indication of war. Often SF are sent into countries to gather intelligence and neutralize potential threats. This happens all over the world and most of the time it is not a pre curser to invasion, but a CIA move to strengthen our political and/or economic position in a foreign country. Most SF speak 2 or more languages.
However i do agree that the president intends to take us to war with Iran. My hope is that there will be no new acts of terrorism on US soil prior to the decision to invade.

For what it's worth, my analysis of the Keith Olbermann interviewing Bill Maher piece. On the surface it looks like the left Bush bashing and patting each other on the back. I liked how Maher brought up the fact that congress hadn't read the Patriot Act before it was passed. However, I did not like how Maher then said, well, the Patriot Act is now law so the firing of the attorneys is legal but politically wrong. Bullshit. By default, the Patriot Act passes laws that are unconstitutional (or should be), and is therefore illegal in and of itself, and should be challenged as such. Instead Maher excuses this fact as if he would like this power to be passed onto the democrats. The rest of the piece was Bush bashing, which is fine, but does absolutely nothing for 911 Truth. What gave me some hope was Maher's demeanor. He looked tired. It looked like he chose his words very carefully and did not get caught up in misdirected and giddy left emotion. It may be that he is getting ready to come out with 911 Truth. But the question is, will he be willing to do that after the last "fiasco" he got thrown off the air for? Did that experience strengthen him? Giving him the guts to come out on 911? Or, if he does indeed know the truth, will he just be scared to risk fucking up his career again? Nothing he said whatsoever in that piece suggested that he knows about or will come out on 911 Truth. But his demeanor looked like one of someone who could. The other option is that he is an operative and intends mislead us to the LIHOP theory(Bush Let It Happen On Purpose) and not to the correct MIHOP(made it happen on purpose) theory. Let's hope Alex knows something we don't, that he can't say on air, that leads him to think that Maher is getting ready to go public on 911 Truth.

The official goes on to state that the reason for the presence of the 15 naval personnel was to conduct a routine boarding of a merchant ship. Which is highly significant because Iraqi has only one deep water port at which to dock which is located at Umm Qasr. Umm Qasr is at the most western point of the Iraqi coast whilst the seizure of the Royal Navy personnel was at the eastern extreme of Iraqi waters. It can be seen on any map that the location given for this incident is not on any reasonable course for a merchant ship wishing to dock in Iraqi,
So it begs the question why was a merchant ship so far off any sensible necessary course.
If the merchant ship involved was simply of course then we would imagine that this would be made clear as to explain British reasons for being there. After all the Royal Navy would be expected to prevent a merchant ship from saleing into foreign waters or dangerously close to the border.

US company is in the running to run controversial scheme in Britain.
David Blunkett has taken a job advising a company interested in bidding to run Britain's controversial identity cards programme, a policy he was the architect of and championed in government.
The former Home Secretary took up the post for the Texas-based security firm Entrust, which specialises in securing digital information and combating identity theft, earlier this month. The firm already provides software for the Spanish national ID card system and has formally registered an interest in the British project.
Blunkett is bound by a two-year ban on lobbying British ministers and officials from the date he resigned as Work and Pensions Secretary in November 2005. That does not expire until this November. His spokeswoman insisted yesterday that he would not be working in Britain for the company and would only advise on overseas work.
However, David Davis, the shadow Home secretary, last night attacked the decision, saying: 'David Blunkett was a staunch champion of ID cards and involved right at the heart of the project. The British public will be rightly sceptical about his involvement with a company that could benefit lucratively from this £20bn scheme.
'Under no circumstances should IT companies receive any preferential treatment and ex-ministers should not use their contacts to obtain any special treatment. Mr Blunkett should make sure he abides by this.' The Tories have pledged to scrap plans for ID cards, which they describe as a 'plastic poll tax', if they get into power.
Blunkett was one of the government's biggest defenders of identity cards when at the Home Office, before resigning over his involvement in a visa obtained for his lover's nanny. He maintained his interest in the scheme when he re-entered the cabinet as Work and Pensions Secretary: ID cards are potentially useful in the fight against benefit fraud.
He has described ID cards as 'not a luxury or a whim - it is a necessity'. Two weeks before he started the job, he wrote in his column for the Sun that ID cards would 'protect our identity from fraudsters, stop illegal foreigners in their tracks, save billions being leeched from our welfare system and beat organised crime'.
ID cards will become compulsory for new British passport-holders from 2010. Making them compulsory for all Britons, including those who do not have or choose not to have passports, would require further legislation but the government has made it clear that it expects the majority of the population to get identity cards as they replace expiring passports.
Phil Booth, of the campaign group No2ID, which was set up to fight the introduction of the cards, said that having helped draw up the initial legislation Blunkett was extremely well informed about the process and had also been closely involved in negotiations across Europe about identity and security, knowledge of which could be of interest to a US company. Entrust has offices in nine European countries including Britain. He said. 'Maybe Mr Blunkett has a keener or more recent experience of what clearly is quite a Byzantine legislative field.'
Entrust has formally registered an interest in the British ID cards project, via a scheme for potential future suppliers to notify themselves to the Home Office's Identity and Passport Service, and has attended two seminars organised for the ID cards programme.
The post as chair of Entrust's international advisory committee is declared in Blunkett's latest entry for the Commons register of members' interests. A spokeswoman for the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments said it had also been notified and that it approved, subject to the two-year moratorium on lobbying in Britain.
The spokeswoman for Blunkett said: 'He is not involved in the UK side. His contract excludes him doing work in the UK. It is about advice for overseas work. Obviously he has taken advice from the advisory committee and he's absolutely going to adhere to the advice.'

All children could face compulsory checks to discover if they are at risk of turning into criminals, the Prime Minister has announced.
The controversial proposal came as part of a wide-ranging review of crime and security policy published by 10 Downing Street.
It said the checks could take place at existing important stages in a child's life, such as the move from primary to secondary school.
The Government's plan to prevent crime said: "Establish universal checks throughout a child's development to help service providers to identify those most at risk of offending.
"These checks should piggyback on existing contact points such as the transition to secondary schools."
The document did not outline at what age the checks should begin, nor did it detail whether police or probation officers would be involved in the process.
It was also unclear whether the check would involve a personal interview with a child, or if it would simply comprise a review of school and police records.
Other proposals set out in the policy review included extending the police's ability to seize non-cash assets from criminals, such as plasma screen televisions, jewellery and laptop computers.
The review also appeared to advocate further ****expansion of the DNA database**** when it suggested including "all suspected offenders who come into contact with the police".
Currently anyone arrested for a recordable offence in England and Wales must give a DNA sample - which remains on record even if they are not charged, or are acquitted.

LONDON (Reuters) - More offenders will receive community sentences and rehabilitation instead of being sent to jail, under plans to be unveiled by Prime Minister Tony Blair on Tuesday.
With prisons full, Home Secretary John Reid said they should be reserved for serious or violent offenders who are a danger to the public.
"We are saying you should pay back to the community if you are a non-serious offender by doing unpaid work," Reid told the BBC.
Under the plans, police would target a "hard core" of repeat offenders. About 100,000 criminals commit half the crime in England and Wales.
"One of the lessons we've learnt is to target the offender, not just the offence," Reid said. "We still have a hard core of persistent offenders who commit a huge number of crimes."
Fewer mentally ill offenders would be jailed and drug addicts would be given more help both in and out of prison.
Police would get greater powers to dispense "instant justice", including confiscating driving licences or cars, according to media reports.
Criminals could face surprise home visits from police or be sent letters on their release from jail warning them that police are watching them, the Daily Telegraph said.
Conservative Shadow Home Secretary David Davis said the policy review was a "last-minute grandstanding attempt by Mr Blair in the dying days of his premiership".
"This ragbag of ill thought-through ideas is likely to go the same way as government proposals for cash point fines for yobs and night courts," Davis said.
"What we need is a clearly thought-out penal policy that takes the worst criminals out of circulation, punishes them, gets them off drugs and, where possible, rehabilitates them."
His Liberal Democrat counterpart Nick Clegg said "obsessive pursuit of headlines" had done little to tackle crime or its causes.

LONDON (Reuters) - The growing surveillance society is to be examined by an influential committee of MPs as police call for new regulations to make it easier to extract pictures from private security cameras.
The Home Affairs Select Committee's inquiry was first revealed last week by Leader of the House Jack Straw during questions in parliament.
Britain is the most watched country in the world, with more than four million CCTV cameras, or one for every 14 people.
Police chiefs said on Monday they wanted to be able to easily download picture data from privately installed cameras to aid criminal investigations.
They found in an 18-month study with the Home Office that new digital systems came in too many formats.
"We want a generic technology that allows us to download images easily and quickly," Deputy Chief Constable of Cheshire Graeme Gerrard told the Daily Telegraph.
"All those who don't conform would have to change", added Gerrard, who is the CCTV spokesman for the Association of Chief Police Officers.
Police and the government defend the increasing numbers of CCTV cameras as a way of improving security and solving crime, but their widening reach is causing concerns over personal privacy.
Last year Information Commissioner Richard Thomas said he wanted a debate on what level of monitoring was acceptable.
"Unseen, uncontrolled or excessive surveillance can foster a climate of suspicion and undermine trust," he said.
That distrust was demonstrated last week when Ealing Council in London was erroneously reported to be hiding cameras in baked bean cans to check residents were recycling their rubbish.
The council said the stories were incorrect -- its three disguised cameras were only used to catch fly-tippers and graffiti-sprayers -- but the reports clearly touched a raw nerve, even being raised by an MP in the Commons.
On Monday engineering experts said in a report that citizens should be able to access information from local CCTV cameras, if only to find out who had been studying the pictures.
"If we are being watched, then we need to be able to watch the watchers," said Ian Forbes, one of the report's authors.
"I may have nothing to hide, but it is still my business. We want technologies which allow us to be both secure and private," he added.
The report by the Royal Academy of Engineering said research should be conducted so that individual privacy was built into electronic surveillance systems.
It said future-generation cameras that could spot criminal activity should be programmed to ignore acceptable behaviour, so that innocent citizens would not be subject to surveillance.

I sat in a charasmatic, non-denominational church for 20 years.
Every time something"fresh" would come along, the church would tag along claiming it to be "of God".
Later, I learned that almost all of our experiences in all those years, were manmade.
The music heard on the website reminds me of the charasmatic music we would sing at this church to "usher in the holy spirit". I don't think the Holy Spirit, needs to be ushered into anywhere. The music is created by the musicians who attended mainstream "biblical" schools, where "you can have what you say" philosophy is taught. To hear this music now, bothers me. While it is pleasant to listen to, I know that the artists are making millions off of it by "selling it to churches for "worship".

What I got from the site so far is a numerical code interpreting the Bible and what is to come.
I can't and won't bad mouth the man but I'm leary of anyone claiming to be a prophet.

Iraqi asylum seeker numbers skyrocket

The United Nations refugee agency says the number of Iraqis fleeing to western countries has surged by 77 per cent in the space of a year.
The office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) says that counters the global trend of a decline in asylum seekers in 2006.
In the fifth straight year of decline, about 300,000 asylum applications were submitted in the 50 industrialised countries surveyed last year.
That is 10 per cent fewer than in 2005 and less than half the number recorded five years ago, according to provisional data.
But UNHCR spokesman Ron Redmond says asylum applications by Iraqis in western countries rose from 12,500 in 2005 to 22,200 in 2006.
"The increase last year was particularly significant in the last quarter of the year, when 8,100 Iraqis applied for asylum in 36 countries that provide monthly data," Mr Redmond said.
"This reflects the growing sectarian violence in Iraq."
The figures for Iraqi asylum seekers still remain well below the peak level of about 50,000 reached during 2002.
"We need to keep in mind that the vast majority of uprooted Iraqis remain in the region," Mr Redmond said.
An estimated 1.9 million Iraqis are displaced inside the country and about 2 million are outside their homeland, mainly in Syria and Jordan, which are not part of the 50 industrialised countries.
The refugee agency says the overall drop in asylum applications was attributable to a combination of improved conditions in some countries of origin and more restrictions in destination countries that are discouraging applications.
"UNHCR has repeatedly expressed concern at the drive to keep the number of asylum seekers as low as possible," Mr Redmond said.
The US was the most favoured asylum destination in 2006, with 51,510 applications.
It was followed by France, Britain and Sweden.
Mr Redmond has underlined that the density of asylum seekers relative to the local population in the US was far lower than in Europe.
Sweden was the favourite destination for Iraqis in industrialised countries last year, with some 9,000 applications, followed by the Netherlands (2,800), Germany (2,100) and Greece (1,400).
Iraqis were the largest single national group of asylum seekers, followed by Chinese (18,300), people from Russia (15,700), Serbia and Montenegro (15,700) and Turkey (8.700).

A Berlin Declaration marking the 50th anniversary of the European Union will set a 2009 date for the bloc to overhaul its institutional structures on Sunday, a final draft of the document says.
"Today, 50 years after the signing of the Rome Treaty, we agree on the goal to position the European Union on a new joint foundation by the European Parliament elections in 2009," the final German-language draft said.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel wants the declaration - to be unveiled during festivities attended by EU leaders in Berlin - to launch her drive to revive the bloc's constitution.
The constitution has been in limbo since it was rejected by French and Dutch voters in 2005.
The declaration does not mention the constitution - a handful of the EU capitals opposed this - but Ms Merkel sees it as backing her push to revive its key reforms.
The Czechs, Poles, British, Dutch and French are expected to be the most difficult countries for the German Chancellor to convince, as she presses ahead with plans to lay out a specific road map for the EU charter, which aims to make the bloc's institutions more efficient and streamline decision-making.
Ms Merkel told Friday's edition of German newspaper Bild that the EU's 27 member states often spent too long grappling with issues under the bloc's existing structure.
"To change that, we need the EU constitution, which suits the decision mechanism of the larger EU," she said.

United States President George W Bush says he will veto legislation passed by the House of Representatives that orders all American combat troops to leave Iraq by September next year.
Democrats have used their control of congress to make a new Iraq war funding Bill, contingent on all combat troops returning home within 18 months.
House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi says her party was acting on the wishes of American voters opposed to the war.
"Proudly, this new congress voted to bring an end to the war in Iraq, it took one great giant step in that direction," she said.
An angry Mr Bush says the Democrats believe they have better judgement than military commanders on the ground.
"They set an arbitrary date for withdrawal, without regard for conditions on the ground," he said.
He says he will veto the legislation.

Something stinks, already the media have been suggesting that the Iranians captured the troops in Iraqi waters and then took them back into Iran. If this is the case, it would be grounds for retaliation. But why would Iran do this? Its only going to end in tears for them to illegally capture our troops and hold them captive.
