I relate better to machines than to people. And i've been working with people too many years and i've finally discarded the idea of humankind as a creative, sentient and highly evolved species.

You can name a few that make real advances in humanity. Edison, Tesla, Ghandi, Buddha. How many ? A few in thousands of millions.

A robot won't necessarily be more or less human. It all depends on what relationship do you develop with it.
