I just bought a Toyota. Hybrids aren't really in my price range but a 35mpg Corolla ain't half bad.
Toyota is winning the automobile wars based on two things, fuel efficiency and reliability.
You also have to hand it to the whiz kids at Ford. They discontinue one of the best selling cars ever, the Taurus, while cranking out the F-150's.
Oh I think NPR is so wonderful. If you listen to it you don't have to form any opinions of your own.
If the trustworthy experts on NPR say it is all our fault that American industry is gone than you can take it to the bank and we have no one to blame but ourselves (American stockholders at least).

However. It could be that we are seeing Globalization at work. Did NPR tell you anything about that Ms Beale. Maybe they don't want to bother you with things like that.

Now don't go telling them I told you about Globalization and put it into your head that maybe you and we don't have anything to do with GM moving to China. I don't want everybody mad at me.
I'll tell you something else if you won't tell them I told you. If we the people were the ones responsible for what is happening - I'm just saying IF - then what we would do is take our government back by getting MONEY out politics so that financial elites don't control the government and force globalization on us.
WE would decide if we want government regulation on corporations and which way we want the wind to blow and if we want laws protecting labor and if the government should function for people and not for business then GM would stay here.
Isn't that a crazy idea! Well I know that idea has never occurred to people such as yourself but maybe for some other people its not too crazy at all.
The only problem is that those people can't move people like you with a stick of dynamite because you're too stupid.
NPR won't say that to you though. They just give you a few hints and if you don't figure things out they just let it pass.
