The one thing I love about winter time in Chicago is that people shovel their sidewalk. When I was living downstate in a college town no one bothered. If you had to travel by foot, like I do, you had to travel iced streets as that was safer than trying to traverse the snow covered sidewalk.

wow no one shovels the sidewalks on this block. they were so slippery wednesday i just let oreo pull me. the front stairs were a nightmare.
