Wow! I'm sorry. Doesn't it seem like when something bad is going to happen, it all happens at once? When I was at Notre Dame, my roommate from Argentina always used to say, "¡Qué mala onda!" when she had a hard time adjusting to live in the US. At one point, she was trying to buy a computer for school. She tried to write a check, but they wouldn't accept her passport from Argentina. And at that point, she hadn't gotten a state id yet.

So, anyway, sometime this year I taught my AP students the meaning of the phrase, "¡Qué mala onda!"

the photos are coming back. one at a time. verrrrrryy slowly.

despite that i still have them on the remote web server, i'm still re-uploading them in a different format, because i'm stupid and obsessive that way.

btw february, march, and 2000-2002 are back up already. 2003 and january may be back up today. 2004 is... a big hurdle.
