Dog-walking sounds like a fun job.
And yes, I'd imagine you'd have to go to dog grooming school. Don't many hair stylists do the same? I guess you'd have to learn how to give the pooch a lion cut. Maybe you could practice on Oreo!
And it wouldn't hurt to learn more about dog training and how to handle dogs with differing tempermants (aka timid, aggressive, etc) ...

oreo is a short-haired dog. he doesn't need grooming, just brushing. i didn't even need to go to a school to know that.
i'm perplexed by the idea of going to a school to learn to cut human hair, too. 3 months full-time is quite a long time to learn how to do this.
as i said in the interview, i'm already pretty darn well knowledgeable about dogs with different temperaments. i have a neurotic one myself.

...unlike my wife, who freaks out whenever a dog acts like -- well -- a dog.

After you complete dog grooming school, (If you go) do you think maybe you will know how to bleach/cut MY hair? And can you also walk cats? I can use a good cat walker (or at least someone to watch them while they seem aloof and uninterested.)
