Gravatar Oh, my! Sorry to hear Arden is having such a rough patch. Poor kid! It does always seem like things come in waves, doesn't it? Hopefully the next wave will bring nothing but good stuff!

Gravatar oh, pool lamb! I hope he feels better soon. I hope the world slows a little. I hope you stop to catch your breath!

I have a '98 Outback, BTW -- or, rather, my son has it now. I handed it down to him when he graduated from high school. It's been an awesome car. We took it on many road trips, and it's been on many tours with his band.

Gravatar oh how awful for you and him, I hope he is better soon and you can sit down and relax for a little bit.

My parents have an Outback and we were thinking of getting one when we get to Portland, it's funny becasue you never see them over here and they are absolutely everywhere in Portland!

Take care of yourself and give Arden a hug from us, gently of course.

Gravatar Oh dear...not a great ride...I'm so glad to hear he's feeling better and yes, of course you can ask the world to slow down for a moment...

Gravatar Oh, so sorry to hear about Arden, and the toll this has taken on you and Dan. I send hugs and hopes that this all turns around tout suite. Thinking of you.

Gravatar I hope Arden gets better soon.

Gravatar Hope your little guy starts jumping around again soon. What a terrible ordeal! All my best for a speedy recovery.

Gravatar Oh my dear, My thoughts are with you. That does not sound like a fun weekend. Thank goodness you have two cars now and that your child is feeling a bit better and not worse.

It looks like we won't be free until Oct or Nov to get together.

Gravatar OH, Kathy, hang in there. Poor little guy will hopefully feel better soon. He's lucky to have such a good mom.

Gravatar Wow. That is one crazy and stressful week! Hope Arden feels better soon and you can have a couple of "down" days (hours? moments?) once they are back in the school routine.

Gravatar Boy do I know how you feel. My oldest son got some virus when he was in first grade and had the same horrible thing-uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea for days. He was hospitalized for 3 days and I basically slept in the bed with him(when I wasn't changing his sheets or him-you and I could have a nice talk about hospital care)and didn't leave his side the whole time. He is a very slim boy and he was down to 40 pounds-made me tear up to see his body. His teacher came to see him and almost didn't come in the room because she didn't recognize him. Anyway-my advice to you is anything he can eat, give him. We had good luck with rice(maybe rice gruel for Arden so the swallowing isn't too hard?). The carbs help with the diarrhea and also weight gain. My heart goes out to you-hang in there.

Gravatar Oh! I'm so sorry for Arden. I went through that myself, but I was 14 at the time so it was a little easier for me to take care of myself.
I'm sending good vibes from Long Beach.

Gravatar Please know that many of us are thinking of you and your family and sending our prayers. I'm so sorry that your little one has been going through such horrible times.

Hugs,

Sarah-Hope

Gravatar Oh, Kathy--I'm so, so sorry to hear what a rough time you and Arden have been having. I hope the incremental improvements gather speed and strength soon. Try to get some rest whenever you can. And yes--you can certainly ask for the world to slow down a little after all that!

Thinking of you--
Janna (Dave, O, and A, too)

Gravatar Aw, jeez! I wish there was some way to give you, and Arden, a little respite. Tell him he's got lots of good wishes coming his way. I hope it'll be over soon!

Gravatar A bug has hit the school where I work...several staff members missing a few days with stomach/intestinal issues. I'm so sorry this happened to you...on top of the surgery!
Yikes!
