This is a crock. What country are we in? Where did the freedom to speak the truth go?

I agree with Humbled Infidel. Where is the freedom of speech? Calling someone a "punk" or "bully" does seem mild in comparison to the trash that can be viewed on the internet on a daily basis. So why would personal comments restrict a users account access??? Where is the freedom of speech???
Just a question being asked by a Citizen of the United States of America...

I am not surprised at the open bias of members of the stumbleupon staff. The newest member is already promoting San Francisco's renaming of a sewage treatment plant in honor of President Bush.

Isn't there an SU rule against posting private messages?

While I think you were done a disservice and support you in saying whatever you want, you must realize also that SU is a public forum run by a private group. They are under no obligation to grant you permission to use their site, and they have every right to censor whatever the heck they want. Do they do it in a vaguely infantile way when it suits them? Probably, but it is their right - censorship is only illegal when perpetrated by the imperial federalist government, even though we have come to expect no one should censor us.
Sorry to be the DA here, but we should not all get quite so up in arms over private individuals and/or entities exercising their rights to act on their own behalf just because we disagree with how they do it. That is playing right into the way liberals tend to treat everyone, which is why we dislike them so much.
I am very glad to see you back on SU after the short dismissal, as I enjoy your SU pages a great deal and share many interests.

Anom.
There is indeed a rule about posting private messages. This blogspot site is beyond their jurisdiction and I am free to say what I want.
The free speech constriction comes from within su.
Wes.
I understand their private property rights. that is why I acquiesced to there censorship, ut I don't have to like it, and I will bitch about it. I assume you get flamed as badly as I. My point is that asshats can say horrible and vile things with impunity and any mild rebuke of the chosen few gets one banned.

America Online was just as bad in their political chatrooms, the slightest infraction by a conservative earned you a TOS violation, liberals were allowed to attack with impunity
