if we're always saying that worship IS our life, then why shouldn't worship look like our life? my life is not that pious, and so, i dress down on Sundays b/c the rest of the week I have to dress more piously than i really feel or really am. church should be the who we can be most ourselves. there's the tension of wanting to be more/who we are now, but i don't think clothes or food in the service have much to do with that. press on.
How the heck did the Christian church ever get to this place?... Mandating the whitewashing of tombstones instead of bidding, come as you are. Folks SO miss the point sometimes.
