Your are so right, bro. I think most of us Americans don't think about the sacrifices. I am a spoiled Christian. I have met Thai Christians who have become alienated from their families because they stopped being Buddhists. I don't know if I could be that strong. Keep up the work, man.

Hi friend! I don't know you and you don't know me, but I stumbled upon your site from a friends site. I work for the same company as you, but in a different country. My first clue was some of the language you used and then through looking back I came across the shoe brushing. =) How long are you there for? I will finish my term in 5 months. I see your point, really. When I minister to children and their families in the worst parts of town, where poverty is the children's playground, I don't believe I have ever preached sacrifice. I have taught to give of what you have, and in that giving you receive blessing. Like ripples in water. Giving is concentric, you bless God by giving of what he has given you and then bless others by the gift and bless yourself through being the giver. Maybe a little simplistic, and definitely a run-on sentence; it could be that the word your people there need to hear is not sacrifice but giving with brotherhood or community. Just an outsiders thoughts.
Do I know "A friend?" Didn't someone use that name in a movie to sign emails...except it really was the persons name. I only know one person with the name friend and it would be "C. Friend." If I do know you, I am confused as to why you wouldn't share your name.
